  1. Past hour
  2. Hey I am still proud of the Stros. They will be back. Heck I can get some rest now and get ready for High School Basketball so I can lose more hair.
  3. Ehhh...I think against elite teams they'll struggle to stop people....a little undersized and not super fast IMO...if they are gonna win in December I think they'll need to outscore people
  4. I’d say you are less than an average fan. No math needed.
  5. According to MLB Cleveland won 88. Detroit and Houston 87. Who is going to the playoffs Houston or Detroit Can you say Detroit so you have to give them the advantage Does not appear that your math is very good , but hey your a great stat man and an excellent excuse maker on injuries and so yes they are 7 of 15 which again is average
  6. Initial thoughts on the PNG defense?
  7. DCTF projection: LP +39 Not sure about that spread. But, we’ll see. LP did look more like they were rounding into form again. D was much improved as far as fundamentals, and penalties were down. Special Teams still allowed a TD return though. That’s 2 this year on KO’s. Still need to keep improving.
  8. Today
  9. AND.........who would have thought Fetterman would be the voice of reason for the left?
  10. I'll be on the sidelines for this one. Will hold my thoughts.
  11. It's in the post you quoted. A proven winner.
  12. Who would you like to see get it?
  13. Hardin is coming off a big win against Orangefield this past Friday, while East Chambers scrambled out a win against Buna. Both teams are undefeated on the season and look to stay atop the hill as the leader of District 10-3A D1. In 2024, East Chambers defeated Hardin 28-22 How do you see this one playing out and why? What type of score do you see as the outcome?
  14. Hopefully a Texas team brings the division back to the state next year. And hopefully it’s not you guys 😉. The rangers were also killed by injuries this year, just not quite to your level. Hopefully with a couple of moves from each team we’ll have an exciting race next year
  15. I got WOS, HF, Silsbee then Shepherd in that order as of this week. I will be shocked if Jasper were to make the playoffs right now.
  16. Cleveland and Detroit finished at 87-75 just like Houston. Only Toronto (East Div. champ) Seattle (West Div. champ), Yankees and Red Sox had better records. Cleveland and Detroit had the tiebreakers over Houston. But finished with the same record. You know, all about wins/losses.
  17. Yesterday
  18. I think you’re probably right, but the top three are close enough that they could all beat each other. Wouldn’t be shocked if any of the three wins district, even less shocked if there’s a tie at the top, but I agree that HF is 3rd favorite in that group.
  19. How do you figure only 4 teams had a better record You had 3 divisional champions with better records and 3 wild cards with a better record. That my friend appears to be 6. They were 7 out of 15 in the AL. That my friend is average They are not in the NL so just forget about counting that They have been very good the past several years, just not this year
  20. Which is also as you know who started the petition.I haven’t just searched him up to see what he’s been saying but I would bet he’s quiet simply because he got what he wanted and couldn’t care less now!
  21. I got it this way: 1. WO-S 2. Silsbee 3. HF 4. Jasper/Shepherd (leaning towards Shepherd)
  22. Shepherd will be in the mix for one of the playoff spots.
  23. @NDNation here ya go
  24. Big game this week is BWB vs Lufkin. BWB had the week off and Lufkin has to rethink after getting shutdown on offense this week.
  25. Always knew he was a sorry pos!
  26. Huntsville has the talent to win, but they won’t. The West Fork game was an ugly win as the Hornets just couldn’t put the game away until late. The defense was good. It was mostly 3 and outs for WF except for about 3 big plays that kept them in it. On offense, the Hornets could have run at will all night, but kept trying to throw, which they aren’t very good at. I guess they were trying to work on that passing game. Throw in all the holding penalties and 15 yard stupid penalties and now you somehow have a sort of close game. PNG will not beat themselves, so I’ll take the Indians 35-17. I still think Huntsville will be good enough to finish 2nd in the District.
  27. I agree WOS wins district followed by HF, Silsbee and Jasper last. I will say none make it to 3rd rd. The district is not that strong this year.
  28. Houston finishes the season with a win and an 87-75 record. That's 12 games above .500 which by my calculations is "above average". In the American League (15 teams), only 4 teams finished with a better overall win/loss record. That puts the Astros in the top 1/3 of the league, not "middle of the pack". In the MLB (30 teams), 9 teams had better overall win/loss records. Houston is in top 1/3 of all of baseball in win/loss record for the season. Not "middle of the pack". All this while having the worst season for injuries of any baseball team in MLB history, Pretty proud of that effort considering those circumstances. Proud to be an Astro Fan!!! (and not a pessimistic sports fan).
