I don’t expect Vidor to win against Silsbee, I do except Vidor to surprise a few people by throwing the ball a bit more. The sophomore QB can “sling it” … ask the people that watched Vidors freshmen team run thru everyone last season.

So kids should be able to roll into any school and tryout for a sport, wait to see if they make the team even if they do not go there, then transfer if they do? Or am I reading your post wrong?

I'm ready for my haters to come chime in...as i predicted what would happen last year and proved some WROOOONNGGG. Now, I knew i seen this type of mediocrity from a fan base/football team before. PAM is the Nederland Bulldogs of the late 90's-00's. Before i start, any Bulldog fans reading this, THIS IS NOT A SLIGHT AGAINST YOUR COMMUNITY OR TEAM. Now, I remember how i use to say, "nederland was a good team for the area, big fish with but once outside of the comforts of the triangle they got exposed". Also I said it seemed fans were happy with 2 playoff wins and done for 14 consecutive years and at the time outside of WOS, nobody wasn't doing squat. Now the only team doing things is PNG, hmmm coaching change, big surprise. Nederland is changing and i think next year, i see them going 4 deep in the playoffs. WE at PAM is just happy to be in the playoffs. I know the players want more than that cause due to the district, at worst you will get 4th and play a joke of a first rd game. That really doesn't say you were all that, if anything it makes them look like underachievers. When will WE stop settling in this abusive relationship with the current regime. Maybe its me... i'm a bumblebee 4 life!! in basketball, if we didn't go to state the season was considered not good. When i lived in LaMarque, they would drive the u-haul to the coaches house lol, but just making the playoffs wasn't good enough, if they didn't go 4-5 rds, something was wrong. I was hoping the DC would bring that mentality with him. i guess he did cause the defense has been the saving grace. Unless they make it to the 4th rd(not counting the first rd) this regime is a joke and PAM will always be known as the school with all the D1 talent, but can't get past two rds. the current regime is the downfall and "fans" keep making excuses for "him". I WILL ALWAYS SUPPORT THE TEAM AND STUDENTS OF MEMORIAL AS MY DAUGHTER IS A TITAN, but if they go 6-4 it wont' be a surprise...UNLESS a certain player is given a shot to see what he can do... if they start off 1-3, i suspect and hope KJ is given a shot. Not understanding why he isn't playing QB and let Amante and Alex wear down the defenses. Oh well, we shall see. Oh and one final "shot", it's bad when my daughter who is a manager in the band this year, tells me the players don't respect the head coach, but other coaches they do and this was also told to me by an inside source also.

The Livingston ones were only out there the first 10ish plays, Woodville didn't start moving it until the guys with the different pants came in for the lions. Pretty sure those were backups/JV. Skill wise I think Woodville will be fine, but they struggled up front against the starters from Livingston.

The taco truck on MacArthur next to Papa Johns is a hidden gem. I always get 4 carne asada tacos, which come topped with raw onions and cilantro. They also come with a side of charro beans, and a pile of grilled onions and a whole grilled jalapeno.

I agree. My daughter wanted to tryout to be a Flame and was initially told yes, but then told no cause during the tryouts, she wasn't a student of the district. I feel like they should of allowed her to tryout and given me a deadline to have her enrolled. The issue was/is if she was to make it and end up not transferring, that was a spot a district student could have had. She took it like a champ and will tryout for next year, which is in January
