Darth is hitting all the points on what I’m trying express… Don’t recall to many straight 2 way starters and Never coming off the field.. but there is some kids that could be plugged in when we need a big stop/extra pass rush to offensive side with short yardage need that 1-3 yards, extra blocker on the line (jumbo package) and etc.. these are pure examples but things that need to be addressed. Like the elephant in the room Nederland needs to find a quality running back to get #10 a breather and not run him to the ground…

For PNG, I’d like to see the O-line continue to gel in the run game. La Porte was a big leap forward in how we moved the ball on the ground. I was worried we’d get stuffed all four quarters. The secondary needs work, of course, but it’s much better than last year and the open-field tackling has been back to 2022-2023 form. I hope the state ranking and the big win over La Porte don’t cloud our vision. It’s a tough district, and preseason records don’t tell us everything about how a season will go. I haven’t seen much of Dayton, and nothing from the two Montgomery schools. I think Lake Creek is down from last year. We’ll find out next week. Just going off game results (and Dayton’s first game, which I was able to watch) Dayton and Montgomery are looking good. Huntsville has some issues, especially tackling and the blocking has been spotty, but they’re fast and big and if they tighten up they should be solid. Nederland has to figure out some offense. Until we see if that happens, it’s hard not to wonder what will happen against district opponents. West Fork looks fundamentally sound - I think they’ll surprise some people. Splendora is Splendora.

That is true, but you will not see a two way starter under Joseph. Reid Richard played at most 10 offensive snaps a game in 2023.

Idk anything about them Focus is on district now, and have a bye week before LCM to keep working the kinks out and see what we look like then. If we miss the play offs entirely i fully expect something to happen, if we struggle all district long then there will probably be some tough conversations had, but we wont know anything until years over Anyways. With no games this week, I figured we could chat about the district as a whole, how things are going, what needs to improve, etc.

I said it appeared to be wrapped in something. a loose bag (not a gun case) or something like a blanket. I just read for the first time that the gun was found wrapped in a towel in the woods. The video would very much appear to me to be something long and rigid wrapped loosely in something that is flapping around it. Previously watching the video I can honestly say I thought it was a blanket or maybe even a towel. This is more than enough to confirm it for me. As for the question about the first :28 seconds of the video: I'd say it's a very good chance that he had the gun either already in place on the roof or stashed near by. It wouldn't make much sense to risk getting caught bringing the gun the day of the event, especially when he couldn't be sure what security would look like. In fact, it wouldn't surprise me a bit if he had the gun wrapped in a towel when he stashed it to keep it from getting wet or being spotted...

That I am not 100% sure of. I'll have to go back and look at it. But I do know that the campus CCTV caught him going up the stairs to the top of the roof. For some reason they only showed still shots and not the actual video. You can check out the first 28 seconds of a video that shows the pics I posted a few post up. Look at it and tell me if you see a gun. At first I thought it was in his right pants leg. But one of the pics shows him bending that knee. So not there. PS -- But you would think there would be campus CCTV on the corner of the building where he jumped off.

LRSW has athletes, size, talent and speed, they are either poorly coached or not buying into what they are taught. It's a clear waste to watch such athletes with poor fundamentals and timing. Hard to watch, they have no mantra for winning, just go through the motions. That was a last minute fill in game for last season on the two year contract. Thankfully after realignment Lufkin will have new non district opponents, of course depending on where the Panthers end up. I don't count this game much, not sure what Lufkin got out of playing the game except everybody but the trainers got to play.

For me, pass coverage only lasts 3 seconds, then anything can happen. Russell Wilson looked as good as he ever has. He had all day to throw. One of the long throws was a busted coverage for sure, but the main reason for the pass yardage was Wilson was very accurate and “he had all day to throw”. The worst QB in the NFL can pick apart a defense if he’s not being hurried or sacked. We just picked up Clowney (a head case) so maybe a pass rush will get some pressure and sacks. Cowboys showed an impressive ability to come back after that late Giants’ TD ( notice I didn’t say home-run, I hate that) . That has been missing for a while. Of course, when you have getting into range is much easier.
