I’ve heard one has ties to the area, could be a factor idk for sure. The area is attractive especially for families. Also incoming classes are larger than this current class. Could be good for development, that is if admin gives them the chance to build.

There are probably plenty of good football coaches that are interested in the job, but a proven winning football coach isn't likely to be interested in a job like Tarkington. Because coaches that make a name for themselves go on to better jobs that are normally competitive. Or at least high paying. Schools like Tarkington that are neither historically competitive nor high paying will not attract known successful coaches. Sorry.. that's just how it works.

I saw something today that read: ”Trump is a living example of what happens when a man is given power that far exceeds his character.” It’s what I’ve been saying all along… I know that all of you so-called Christians believed that character didn’t matter, but it did. Past performance is the best indicator of future outcomes, and Trump has been a huge pile of crap for as long as anybody can remember. It’s not a surprise that he’s destroying the country for a second time.

SCOTUS Rules Against Trump Administration IEEPA Tariffs
TheMissingBand replied to OlDawg's topic in Political Forum
It what can only be described as another humiliating defeat for Trump, it’s time for the tariff refunds to go out. [Hidden Content] Long story made short, Trump illegally put tariffs onto goods coming into America. The tariffs were collected from importers, who then passed the cost onto the American consumer. The tariffs were found to be illegal, and now the money collected must be refunded to the importers, with interest. So thanks to Trump’s screwup, we all just paid extra for nothing… and his tax cuts were going to be offset by the tariffs, so now the tax cuts will just accelerate the growth of our debt. It’s all so predictably dumb. -
Gotta ask, but mean no disrespect, why would a high caliber candidate be interested in the Tarkington job? Seems more likely to be a spot for someone needing a chance.

Youth baseball/softball is alive & well in Orange. I live right by the Memorial Fields and the overflow parking when games are going on in the spring make it a pain in the butt going to/from my house. Its a good problem to have imo.

And light years beyond what would be seen in WV district.

Splitting the role would immediately reduce the pool of applicants. There is a reason Head football coaches are typically combined with the AD role or Campus Coordinator role (Multi Middle and High School districts). It is the largest program and has the most moving parts. Splitting this would result in a noticeable pay cut and also probably put them back in the classroom. With as many things a HC has to account for and accomplish this would not be an attractive proposition. Now I am sure someone would still take the job. Also given the lack of production at Tarkington I get the idea but doing so would be the end of any hope of a competitive football program. Maybe some of Tarkington has given up hope already.
-
One of the two candidates is a high caliber candidate and will come in with eyes wide open and a good plan. Don’t know who the other one is. However, getting good coaches has not been the issue. The issue is admin running good coaches off.

It would be bold, but it would be the right decision for Tarkington. You have a good coach that's done a lot for their program and would support the other programs as well. A new football coach/AD will most likely last two years max and back to ground zero. The new guy will be their 6th head football coach in 10 years.

Franklin 12-0 BYE LRA 6-4 vs Thrall 5-5 Rogers 5-5 vs Rockdale 5-5 Cameron 2-8 vs Lexington 0-10 (both teams have been eliminated for playoffs) LRA has to win one game to clinch a playoff spot. Rogers will clinch with sweep Rockdale will clinch with sweep Thrall needs to win one game and have either Rogers or Rockdale sweep. If all three tie at 6-6 I'm not sure how they will work it out. Rockdale is the key team to decide if Franklin goes D1 or D2 -
Outside of Dickinson, none of those teams are very competitive at the 6A level. Deer Park occasionally. Just FYI 25 results brook 2-8 falls 5-6 lake 6-4 springs 8-3 dickinson 7-4 deer park 8-3 Last year in barbers hill 10-4. So as far as 6A goes, that is probably one of the least competitive districts outside the pasadena district or inner city. In my opinion BH will probably get 3rd place.

Somebody bet 760 million dollars on a drop in oil futures minutes before the news that the Hormuz was open. It keeps happening. Somebody on the inside is playing the news over and over to the tune of millions and millions. [Hidden Content] it’s either someone very close to (or in) the administration, or the mullahs are playing Trump like a Hello Kitty drumset.

The lies that Trump continues to spread. The constant market manipulation. Agree or disagree, open or closed, partnership or no partnership. We won, we're winning, two more weeks, we won. Iran will feel and see things they have never experienced before. We have an agreement, not! Trump is a habitual liar-in-chief. [Hidden Content] More stock news for the insiders. Rinse cycle is the current status before repeat.

As the Iran War drags through its third month, it’s obvious that we don’t have a plan. If Trump decides to attack power plants and oil infrastructure, Iran WILL tee off on the types of target in places like Qatar, Kuwait, and the UAE. Trump’s hubris is getting exposed.
