Infamous Barbers Hill Uniforms

bh89-2

Recommended Posts

This is the new white (AWAY) version of the Barbers Hill uniforms.  The blue (Home) version is even worse, with it being solid blue and white stripes.  Lot of negative feedback on these, so figured I'd post what everyone is talking about.

No I don't know who took this picture, but either they know nothing about photography or whomever posted it on the BHISD website knowns nothing about editing a picture size.

From the looks of the picture BH seems to have some size on the team...Can't look to long,So out of focus gives me a cross-eyed headache... :(
I agree about them making you go cross-eyed. Just wonder how you could tell though being from Kirbyville, Aren't you naturally cross-eyed. Just kidding. Those uniforms are terrible though.

Doesn't changes like that have to be approved by the school board? If so aren't your school board meetings open to the public? Might want to check into that, because if the answer is yes then you might want to consider getting involved on the agendas happening during those school board meetings. Just saying...

Usually only approve a vendor for unifoms, not styles. That is up to the Athletic Director and the Head Coach (who in this case is both).

It is Columbia blue, I'll have you know.   :P

"Columbia blue, also known as Jordy blue, is a light blue tertiary color named after Columbia University. The typical Columbia blue is defined by Pantone Columbia Blue 3 (PANTONE 292).[1]"

My son would have willingly sat in a blue chair.  Blue is the color we socially assign to boys.

So if you really want to get technical ... it takes blue and red to make purple.  I guess that makes ya'll bi-colorful.  ;)

You do know this is all in fun, right?

In that instance, purple would be EXTREMELY rare.... so that can't be it.

For those of you that are lifelong residents of The Hill, you should know that those are throw back uniforms. They wore the stripes back in the days of glory, late 50's early 60's. Perhaps the uniforms represent a return to glory. I remember those style of uniforms.
I like the thought process behind that. Just shows you how times/styles have changed.

Maybe y'all could drop back down to 2A too. THEN you might "return to glory." All that uniform is going to do is cause people to feel sorry for you when they win. You know with the political correctness today and all.

I can understand why Coach Gage decided to go with the old school uniforms, but they look terrible(in my best Charles Barkley accent) in the year 2010.  I have always thought that BH has had some of the best looking uniforms over the past couple decades, but not this year.

And for the school board having to approve this purchase, they do not.  It is up to the person doing the ordering who happens to be the AD/Head Football.
