1. Altuve has quickly become one of my favorite players.  I think this new team is starting to become a team!
 2. Who will be the best team in setx? The team that wins the most games. Duh.
 3. High School football (or any other high school sport or activity) is not like a professional sport in that they can hire the players according to their strengths and make them fit their particular plan of attack.  In high school sports, one must work with the players who show up wanting to be a part of the team.  Types of offense, defense and every other part of the game are based on those players.  A coach can't decide to run X type of offense, just for grins and giggles.  He has zero chance of success that way.  Just because Lumberton has been struggling doesn't mean Credeur is a poor coach making poor decisions. Lumberton has mostly struggled, history being what it is.  I think a huge part of the answer is the lack of tradition building in Lumberton.  At PNG, indoctrination into the tribe begins early.  Kindergartners don't change their color when they've talked in class.  They move their feather!  We have no traditions in Lumberton.  Honestly, having kids in high school now, I can tell you that part of the problem is that the school has become too rigid in what is allowed and what isn't.  School in Lumberton has no fun, no joy.  There's no pride because it's not allowed to be celebrated.  The student body doesn't have the heart, because it was never given to them and is not encouraged in any way, shape or form.  I couldn't wait to get my kids out of BISD when they were little and into Lumberton, but I have been highly disappointed.  Apathy in our schools runs rampant, both in the student body and in the faculty.  It's sad.
 4.

I,Think I speak on behalf of all Central fans when I say, Central Has improved every week since week one.. week 0- (Memorial) Worst game ive seen from Central in a long time. week 1- (Brook) Really bad game, but Offense got on the board. Took our lumps, I knew we would, was just scared to admit we may lose. week 2-(G.Ball) Got a little better, Offense got on the board a little more, with Defense comeing to play. week 4-(Ozen) Got even better. Scored more with Defense really flexin. QB showed alot of growing week 5-(Livingston) Showed heart, and the ability to adjust and keep playing, after being down 14-0. The Team has improved From week to week literaly..Cant wait to see how they will look when it all comes together..Cause trust me we still have some ways to go. The offense is still young, and the coach is still trying to find his Best 11 on Defense..Like I said, we have some ways to go, but I have enjoyed watching this team grow and gel from week to week..The 08 team had the same problems, but they got better and better as the season went on, and they end up going 4 rounds deep. So im ready to see what this season brings.
Preach on, Brother Jag! You hit the nail right on the head!  Karma for you!
I don't suppose any other teams are continuing to grow and improve at all.
 5.
It funny that all the Ned fans are picking PNG.  That's because they don't want their win over the Indians to be downgraded in significance by a subsequent PNG loss to the Raiders.  All the PNG fans are picking LUM because they see a loss to the Bulldogs as a sign that they are not very good and are vulnerable.  As far as the game just have to wait and see which team for either school shows up.  This one is really to hard to call at this point.
This, my friend, is THE POST of this entire thread!
 6. I don't know of any Lumberton fans who are bitter about our loss to LCM.  Sure, it was painful, but that's the game, right?  That said, I have to give the edge to LCM.  They've got that something extra this year.  Of course, this district is so screwed up this year, I have been wrong in just about every prediction I've made so far.

So much bitterness over a non-issue. The kid left a situation he did not like and was not required to be in and moved on. Seems some adults around here can't do the same.
Thank you! And it's not my kid.
 10.
Not sure if Raider is the boys parent but sure seems to take a serious offense for the kid. I'm not saying who is right or who is wrong BUT... in my opinion, the kid didn't even take any time for things to calm down. Unless he was physically threatened it was IMO a hasty move on the family's part. The parents should have told him this is what life is like, not everyone is going to like you and vice versa. DEAL WITH IT!!! Usually a geographical change isn't going to help the problem when the problem might be in the person! The problem will just remanifest itself eventually. It might not be in high school but it might show itself in college or the work place. The lesson taught the boy was an unfortunate one!
Never said his choices were right or wrong, but they are his.  He is the one who has to live with them, so let him. The LEAST any of us speculators and gossipers can do is at least get the facts straight when we're spewing about it and that's the whole point of any post I've made on this topic.
 11. He didn't leave Ned to play for PNG.  Sheesh, a little reading comprehension, please!  He quit the team and tried to be a regular student at big Ned.  Was harrassed so much, he moved to PNG.  He knew he wouldn't be allowed to play and Faircloth told him as much when he did the paperwork, but he figured it wouldn't hurt to try.  Nothing ventured, nothing gained, right? Now let's all get out of the kid's business.  This should have died with the original thread!

They get to meet their maker and because of the grief they have experienced, he decides to grant them one wish each before they enter Paradise . They're all lined up and God asks the first Indian what is their wish. "I want to be gorgeous" and so God snaps His fingers and it is done. The second Indian in line hears this and says "I want to be gorgeous too". Another snap of His fingers and the wish is granted. One after another, each Indian asks to be made gorgeous. When God is halfway down the line; the last Indian guy in line starts laughing. As God gets closer to the last guy in line, this guy is rolling on the floor holding his stomach & laughing uncontrollably. Finally, God reaches this guy and asks him what his wish will be. The last Indian calms down and says........."Make 'em all ugly again!"[ ;D
"Okay", said God.  *Snap*  and they all looked like bulldogs. ;)

Seriously, if you truly wish to be a journalist, you not only need to pay attention to grammar and spelling, you need to develop your own style. This piece, while full of information, was poorly constructed and pretty boring.  I'm not trying to be harsh, just providing constructive criticism.

 18. I wish my sister would have talked to Credeur about my nephew playing football.  Big, strong boy.  He has some mental issues though and she was afraid he couldn't handle it.
 19. Is it just my imagination, or is Lumberton just not dressing out as many players as other teams in the area?

I'm not sure where the money goes either, before she knew that money was donated specifically for the score board, my sister-in-law was unhappy that they put a new one up. Why? 23.
I played and started under Neumann for two years and most of these players because i was a senior and they were sophomores and to hear about stuff like this makes me mad and everyone else i played with agrees. Larry Neumann is by far the best coach i ever had and the stuff he says and does as a coach puts everyone to shame due to the fact he loves his players more than you can imagine, but at the same time he's not gonna baby you and he is gonna get in your butt and he plays to win (he IS a coach, that's his job right?). The way this whole thing is laid out makes him look terrible which makes me more mad than anything. I could go on for days about people i hated on my team and we would fight outside of football. But when it came time for friday we all played together. We didnt quit because "so-and-so" was starting. I dont care if Dionte isnt the best leader on the team. Why dont YOU be that leader and dont go quit on your team.
Lack didn't quite because Dionte was starting.  He quit because of the way Neuman spoke to him.  Neuman denies, but football coaches are not known for being gentle lambs;  "they get in your butt."  If Neuman had handled the situation differently from the very beginning when Dionte came crybabying to him, we would not be having this discussion now and Lack would still be a Bulldog. We all teach our children to stand up for themselves when they feel they've been wronged.  Lack feels Neuman wronged him, probably because he loved Neuman as a coach, not because Neuman was starting Dionte.  The kid is entitled to his opinion and he didn't go whining to the coach about it.  Dionte went to Neuman on hearsay.  It happens.  He did what he and every other kid is taught to do.  He stood up.  You may not agree with how he went about it, but that is immaterial.  He, like everyone else, must learn from his own actions.  Whether this one will eventually bite him in the butt, I don't know, but it's not for any of us to judge. In the end, Neuman is the one culpable because he is the adult in this situation. I think this thread is done.
