  1. I have to agree with some of the other posters. The most important game of this season is this one between Vidor and Nederland. It will decide which team gets the fourth playoff berth. As far as the rest of you bozos, and I do mean that in the strictest sense of the word, I am continually amazed at the depth of your hypocrisy. The young people that play these games are kids. They all train hard, play hard and want to win to the very depths of their hearts. It doesn't matter what improvements a team has made since they lost to another team, the game that was lost or won is over. The only game that matters is the one at hand. It doesn't matter if a game is won or lost on another team's mistakes. Capitalizing on your opponents mistakes is just part of the game and a TD scored on someone's else's mistake is just as valid as one that is not. It's all fine for many of you to be obnoxious and snotty regarding certain teams, because we all know the boys never see this board, : ... and yet, take it upon yourself to judge and chastise others for being obnoxious and snotty. Some of you really need to attempt to develop a life and leave the p*ssin' contests behind.
  2. An aberration, my friend, an abberation. Not to mention, that was one game and as everyone has discovered in this district this year, you can't take any team for granted this year. Oh, do I need to define that for you, or can you look it up in the dictionary all by yourself?
  3. LUMBERTONS announcer is just a flammin IDIOT!!!!! And we are GLAD to have him !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I thought PNG's announcer sounded alot like Marcus Bowman, Lumberton's announcer for so many years. He did make a few glaring mistakes, wrong downs, saying the quarter was over with over 5 minutes left, etc. Only way to correct that might be to give him an assistant to pass on information. As far as Lumberton's announcer, there are alot of things he could do differently, like not copy other schools catch phrases ( another Raider "first down"), he still seems inexperienced to me, although I think he has been here 3 or 4 years. The announcer's job these days is more than just naming what player is on the play and keeping the crowd up with what down, half, quarter, etc. He's also there to help keep the crowd motivated. Our announcer handles all of it quite well, far better than Bowman ever did. That man was dry and boring. As far as "copying" other schools, they all have borrow everything from someone else. Do you think L-train is original or Raidernation? There are other trains and other nations and cheerleaders do the same cheers and all kinds of stuff. As far as the announcers on the internet thing ... they are obviously raider-based and obviously amateur. Those guys, I could do without. I'd rather not listen, when I can't make the game, than listen to them. I can't even understand them most of the time and it's not because of a bad connection or whatever. It's because they have poor enunciation and diction and it really grates on my nerves.
  4. Congratulations to both teams on what was obviously a well-played game!
  5. Do you realize IDIOTS like yourself are the reason there are so many so-called "raider haters"? Posting garbage like this is why people on here have a problem with Lumberton. Listen up Bucko, U can sit behind your little pc monitor and run your mouth and call me an IDIOT but I bet if U were in my face U would not be saying these things. I will say exactly what I want to say and I really don't care what U or any other Lumberton HATER thinks about me. I was at the game, U were not, so U don't know what U are talking about. You just get on here and take a shot at Lumberton every little chance U get and thats the way it's always been and that's the way it will always be. The REFS were garbage and that is all there is to it. If U don't like it or like what I have to say, I really don't give a ....Let me tell U something bucky, I'm no IDIOT. Just because U don't like what I have to say, doesn't mean U say that. Like I said, Say it to face, not behind a pc screen. I actually have a college degree which is probably more than U have...I'm no fool. U, I am from Lumberton, grew up here, went to school here and now my kids are in school here. I have to say that your attitude offends even me, and I am far from a "Raider Hater". It's people like you that give the rest of us a bad name and honestly, nothing would please me more than for you to shut your yap. You're an embarrassment. Regarding poor officiating; it's part of the game. I can remember very recently, a team Lumberton had defeated posting their whines and moans about "bad officials" on another board, and people jumped all over them for being exhibiting poor sportsmanlike behavior. That team was LaMarque and it was just last season. It isn't any more becoming on a Lumberton fan than it was on the LaMarque fans and even less so, as Lumberton won the game. The kids won and that's what's important. Not complaining about the officials, not rubbing people's nose in it, not being a complete and utter jerk. Grow up and show some class for heaven's sake. The folks from PNG that have posted here are showing more grace, class and sportsmanship than anyone. Good on them and thanks to them for being so. Take a hint from them, U.
  6. yep..... terrible garbled connection! He's got the mic too close to his mouth and it's apparently a poor quality one.
  7. Hey Scalp, do you hope you're wrong on this one? ;D ??? ;D ??? Heck yea I hope I'm wrong, but gut feeling tells me otherwise. I'm a diehard NDN fan, but I don't wear the purple shaded glasses When Scalm em' starts predicting blow-outs... I get a little nervous. If I recall right, He also predicted PNG to beat Nederland 35-14 and we all know how that one turned out! I for one do not have a good feeling about this one. PNG has nothing to lose and can be a very dangerous team to play at any given time. Lumberton has never beat PNG and maybe thats why I am not as quick to say that L-Train will roll this one. As crazy as the district has been this year, anything can happen. I hope Lumberton is not bringing a knife to a gun fight, because PNG is going to be ready for war Friday night. good post Big Blue, that is how it should be approached. PNG will be ready, I just hope we are. No one should ever take any team in this district for granted, on either side of the field. That said, I'm hoping the Raiders will spank the Indians
  8. So ... lemme get this straight ... A bunch of people dog certain tenacious Lumberton fans for posting about beating, well everyone but PNG last year because it was last year ... But Soulja brings up a win over Nederland from TWO years ago??? Call me kooky, but something is stinky about that. Let's all chant together now ... That was then, this is now
  9. Short, I think you need a columbian blue t-shirt in your wardrobe.
  10. My kids are Lumberton students. They tell me that Coach Credeur has disciplinary methods that would not include sitting a kid out of a game but would still get the point across. I am quite certain that Mr. Hanna received his discipline. It however, is between he and Coach Credeur and none of us.
  11. couldnt agree with ya more but we were happy to just make fun of yall for a day or so, but yall blew it all out of proportion, so we messed with yall some more lol And that's mature how? Mature would have been taking the high road, regardless of what some fans posted, wouldn't it? they asked questions... we answered... Don't cop out on your own thread, Pirate. Just remember,
  12. couldnt agree with ya more but we were happy to just make fun of yall for a day or so, but yall blew it all out of proportion, so we messed with yall some more lol And that's mature how? Mature would have been taking the high road, regardless of what some fans posted, wouldn't it?
  13. That's a two-way street, Pirate, or did you miss the entire thread last week when Vidor won the game? It's not just men and women here, a lot of the posters are kids and well, they're ten feet tall and bulletproof and they're obnoxious and they say and do stupid things because, well, they're kids and kids are obnoxious and say and do stupid things. Still others make one wonder if breeding licenses and computer licenses might be the wave of the future, and there's some of those in everyone's woodshed, including yours, Pirate.
  14. Congratulations, Nederland. Tough loss, LCM. Just keep pluggin'.
  15. Not you, StevieRay ... that was to ol' Bucc ... who can't help but tear kids down instead of building them up. Big man, he is.
  16. Is beating two WEAK teams considered standing out? If it isn't lil ol buc...Look bucky, just because East Chambers got rolled on doesn't mean U have to come on hear & prove that U are the #1 jealous Lumberton Hater on this site. I know U take a shot at Lumberton every little chance U get because it makes U fell better inside but the Raiders will make the playoffs this year and there is nothing U can do about it, capic'e? That is what everyone said last year when we beat the first three teams...that they were all weak and we would lose come time for district. I hope all of U HATERS out there underestimate this team like U did last year. If them boys fly under the radar it is even better. You will see! You're making a case for being the #1 Raider Hater along with 7mary3 & Diamond-J from Dayton...keep up the good work. BTW, how do U know that those 2 teams are weak whenever the season has just started? OK--You got me--after studying these posts I realize that the Raiders are unbeatable. After all--your offense is better than Dayton your coaching staff is better than Barbers Hill and your defense is just out of this world never mind that your are beating up on weaker teams that doesn't matter---Heck yall walk on water--SO Lumberton wins district going undefeated and marches to the State Championship--on the way back they stop in and whip up on LSU and swing thru Dallas and slap around the Cowbays--See now I am a Lumberton fan almost as rabid as you! LET IT GO DIAMOND J. IT WAS ALMOST A YEAR AGO. ALL WOUNDS HEAL WITH TIME. I HAVE A LITTLE EXERCISE THAT MAY HELP YOU WHEN YOU THINK ABOUT THE RAIDERS THUMPING DAYTON LAST YEAR, JUST SAY TO YOUR SELF "SERENITY NOW", "SERENITY NOW". Winning by 1 pt. on a lucky 2 pt. Conversion is "thumping"? Is the sky green? Figured I'd ask because you seem to have this extreme need to argue and belabor every dinky thing posted. Do you need directions to the high road? A new hamster? Yours has apparently died on its little wheel trying to get you over the Lumberton hump. Oh, I know ... we'll all take up a collection to buy you a new personality. Yours is apparently covered with glue from all the dead horses you continue to beat.
  17. We have a school spirit problem in Lumberton. The fans don't cheer, the cheerleaders don't cheer, the band doesn't play. Where is the support from local businesses around town? Where are our colors flying, showing folks they've arrived in Raider Nation? Do we have to wait till the end of the season when we've won most of our games to show we love and support our kids? C'mon people, get with it and show our boys we're behind them, no matter what. Speaking of the horn, my neighbor's daughter is dating one of the boys working the train horn. We were told one of the BH fans came up to those young men, kinked the air hose and told them they wouldn't be blowing that horn anymore that night and that it was against the rules anyway. I checked the rules ... and unless it's interfering with the teams hearing signals, they can blow that horn all they want. I didn't get to go to the game this week for family reasons, but last season, the horn didn't blow except after touchdowns. Even if it was blown at inappropriate times, it's not up to the fan base to correct. It's for the AD and believe me, he would take care of it. Regardless, you don't enter someone's house and put your hands on anything. Ever. I always thought BH was a class act, and I think the kids definitely are, but for an adult to do something like that is simply unthinkable. Good thing for that guy it was a kid on the horn ... otherwise he'd be nursing several knots on his head about now. Actually, knowing the kid in question and his size, it's lucky for the rude dude that the kid doesn't have a short temper.
  18. It actually does take quite a bit more to graduate from Lumberton than some of the other schools in the area. Ask my niece, who transferred to Lumberton early in her junior year. All her AP courses from her previous school (no names mentioned) didn't begin to compare with the regular courses in the same subjects in Lumberton. While you're all laughing and teasing and poking fun, here's what you don't know: You don't know if the OP graduated from Lumberton, or anywhere else for that matter. Acquiring a GED is a distinct possibility. You don't know if the OP might have a learning disability. My son has one that makes written expression extremely difficult. Shame on all of you, sitting here casting stones when you don't have all the facts. To the OP, the board offers a spell check feature. You would do well to utilize it and save yourself and these pinheads from this unneccessary and hurtful type of posting.
  19. Well! I must say, this whole thread has gone off the tracks. Talking trash is one thing. What has occurred here is just plain unsportsman like and shameful. As a Lumberton alumni I can say that I am absolutely ashamed at many of you who are here, representing Lumberton in your every post. We had a fabulous season last year. It felt really good. But that one season doesn't make us a football dynasty. Neither, Dayton folks, does it make us a one-trick pony. Lumberton folks, I expect better out of you. Be classy. Be respectful. Be honest. No one likes a braggart, especially when he can't back up his bragging with fact. Lumberton got knocked on its collective a$$. Now, it might have been planned that way, it might have been that the game was being used to put everyone into a game situation. Who knows, except the players and the coaches? Dayton folks, same goes. So you won the scrimmage. Good for you. I sincerely hope you go all the way this year. But you too, should be classy and respectful. Let's all step up our own game here and start glueing that horse back together
  20. Ya'll really don't understand. The Music Director, Ross Boothman, graduated with us. His brother is a vice-principle at the middle school. Lance Long is principle of the Primary School. He graduated with us too. The list goes on and on. Our people stick.
  21. You gave your opinion--and did not prove anything---IF and that is a very BIG IF---he is as successful this season as last then Lumberton had better be ready to open the check book. He may not NEED the money but that is how coaches keep score and he will get all that he can. Anyone that believes coaches do not care about money is an idiot or simply dellusional to the point of believing that coaching at "the great Lumberton" is the pinnacle of success think what you want. to us, and our coaches.. no one would rather be anywhere else. believe that. remember this----if you have a year like the last one and your coach is offered a 25,000 dollar raise he will jump on it faster than a cop on a doughnut-----however you need not worry the Raiders will finish ahead of LCM and Vidor and behind everyone else--so relax your guy is safe unless the Bears or Pirates wish to improve As it happens, I went to school, in Lumberton, with Alvin Credeur. Our senior year, our stats were 0-10. It sucked. I was surprised when I heard that he'd become a football coach, honestly. I really didn't picture that for him. However, a lot of Lumberton alumni have become teachers and teach at Lumberton. Alvin went out, he got his degree, he got his experience. He stepped down to 7th grade football to come to Lumberton, for a couple of reasons, I think. One, because he knew that it wouldn't be long till the top spot opened up again, (it never was long, part of Lumberton's ongoing problem), and two, because he wanted to build the program from the ground up. And he's finally tasting the fruits of his labors. Good for him, good for the kids and good for the community. Is he going to jump on money elsewhere? I don't think so. He's come home.
