They just had a 2 OT game against a team that went to the finals in 2008 and lost to Lake Travis.
Not worried about them either, we went to the state finals last year as well.
Is Vidor in your district?  No?  Then there's no reason for you to worry about them anyway.
Why are you so offended by me stating that i wished Kirbyville played your Raiders??
My post had NOTHING to do with the Raiders and everything to do with your discounting a team (Vidor) who just played a very historically tough team (Texas) and did WELL and the fact that you're not worried about them (Vidor, not Lumberton).  Again, why would you be?  They're not in your district.

Do I hope Lumberton will make the playoffs?  Of course I do.  Do I think they will?  No idea, too soon to tell.
Its a public forum to discuss football. People can talk and speculate about anything they want. If you were to remove every thread that started with "will our" or had the word "prediction" in it, this would be a VERY boring forum. and it is too early to predict........but if people want to predict on a public forum and stay within the rules of this forum......then GO FOR IT!
I believe I met the requirements, Hippy. Next.

 10.
Awesome pic, I was able to make the semi-final game in the dome against SA Lee.  Very good PN-G team.  jhamilton, how old are you, 6?  If you can't live in the past what do you have, get a life.
I was there too!  I was 11 or so, I think.
 11. OP, you realize that how the freshman and JV teams performed has absolutely no bearing on the outcome of any other game, freshman, JV or varsity?
 12.
How about all outsiders and general CBT haters just SHUT UP......
I don't think the first amendment limits one's freedom of speech to particular topics. And I'd suggest that you be careful about using that particular abbreviation for Carroll Thomas;  it possesses connotations that I am pretty sure you don't intend to imply.

So why not "Butch Slap Stadium"
Ozen will find out tonite.... what it means to get " 'BUTCH' SLAPPED".... " 'BUTCH' SLAPPED" is an unregistered trademark,  In the United States, registration, both federal or state, is not required to obtain rights in a trademark. An unregistered mark may still receive common law  trademark rights. Those rights, for example, may extend to its area of influence—usually delineated by geography. As such, multiple parties may simultaneously use a mark throughout the country or even state. An unregistered mark may also be protected under the federal "Lanham Act" (15 USC § 1125) prohibition against commercial misrepresentation of source or origins of goods....no RIGHTS RESERVED... ;D ;D
Everyone who lives in BISD is BUTCH SLAPPED.

 16.
I read a few days ago about someone getting "Butch Slapped".. So why not "Butch Slap Stadium"
That would actually fit, LOL.  Probably not for the reasons you're thinkin', though.
 17.
In honor of "The Babe" I declare we call the new stadium "The Butch"!!!!! Truthfully, it is hard to say that entire name every time I refer to the stadium!!!  :-\ WAAAYYY too long!  ;D So, I will be at "The Butch!" next weekend, Happy Football!
Ummm, yeah.  Doesn't quite have the same ring ... or the same sentiment. How about Carroll Thomas Stadium or just Thomas Stadium?
 18. I enjoy our announcer.  I don't find that he detracts at all from what's going on down on the field, but instead, keeps the crowd well aware and has a good time with it.  I'd rather him than some boring, dry old guy that you can barely hear and makes you wanna doze off! My senior year we were 0-10 and the stands were never full and the games were never fun.  The band and the cheerleaders were about the only things about the games that showed spirit.  I am THANKFUL that the Raiders are finally building some traditions.  The horn is great, although sometimes, they blow it indiscriminately.  Since it has to remain outside the stadium and they're depending on radios for communications, I can understand how there would be an issue sometimes.  That reminds me.  I need to dig up some shakers and buy some wooden train whistles.
 19.
The name is Talbert not Talbot. Head of operations gives him more pull and power than you would imagine, not always seen eye to eye with folks and I cant blame em...Im an LISD employee so i'll keep the shots at him and all my other 100 bosses to a minimum, but yea, much needs to be changed with the admin in Lumberton. Started with Holloman hiring his buddy Fuller to the AD position in 00...but back to topic, the scoreboard is a go, Texas Scorboard and a few other private contractors have been in and out of the stadium all week laying the groundwork. It will include a new sound system, should be a legitimate upgrade. Just be glad it finally happened fellow raider fans!!
Pardon me, my boss' name is Talbot and yanno, I just type that one more often.  ;) Any time one person is given as much power as Talbert has, there will be problems.  Kinda like when Boss Hogg had complete control of the city.  Whew!  Glad that's over. I'm looking forward to the new scoreboard and the new sound system.  I'm always disheartened when I visit my alma mater and find it in disrepair.  I always wonder where all the money goes and it truly hurts my heart.
 20.
It was during  Simms Era, it was last year, there were 4 people donating money for a new scoreboard and sound system and the rersponse was that they would take the money and use it as they see fit  >:(
That's Talbot for you.  Just like I said ... crawfishin'!
 21.
I'm all for "books over footballs" but if someone makes a donation to put up a scoreboard, I think it's ridiculous that one person could nix that donation. What disturbs me is if the donation was put forth and Talbot did nix it, where were all of the other people who could've stood up and stopped him (Sims, school board, athletic dept., etc.)? He must carry a big stick!
I'm not sure exactly when it was, so I don't know if it was during Sims time or not.  It could very well have been during the time when the previous superintendent was still the super, but not really there, if you take my meaning.  When I wrote to Sims about the sound equipment last year, I mentioned the scoreboard issue.  It was denied, of course, but as we're getting a new one this year, with an apparent backer, I'm thinking there's some crawfishing going on.
 22.
raider 81, if that is true , wich ive seen & heard of him doing this in the past -what a jerk.  time to pressure his position, this is getting old, hes definately not for the athletic program
He's in charge of operations, which means he makes decisions on just about everything.  I'm thinking he should be around retirement age, though.  He is a jerk and always has been.
 23.
Sims had NOTHING to do with the Scoreboard.....If he did Lumberton wouldn't have one!!!
No, that would be George Talbot.  It was told during project grad meetings last year that some point, funds had been donated for a new scoreboard, Talbot was contacted and he said, "We'll take the money, but it won't be spent on a scoreboard." so the donation was not made.
