Hardin (which is WEST of West Hardin, by the way) will be focused on February's realignment. Rumor has it that they have petitioned to be placed UP a classification, provided that they can compete in the JV division. UIL commissioners will debate prior to February's realignment, and should have an answer by late January. Meanwhile, on Friday, the Hornets will board the bus (Football bus hopefully) and travel West to Hempstead in search of the elusive district win. A district win is almost as elusive as the albino Boone and Crockett buck that has been rumored to be stalking the river bottoms near Rye. Unlike a district win, at least someone has reported seeing the albino buck. Off season plans are being honed, and you can bet your butt that the Hornets will improve in all areas of football. Off season should start for them next week, but will be postponed until after deer season. After that, however, it's on like a pot of neckbones. GO HORNETS!

HD is not playing Houston Westbury. Westbury is a 6A school. HD is playing Westbury Christian, a small private school. Big difference.

Let's not forget Al Bundy. That area, all the way to I-10, is in Baytown City limits. I do not see it happening. I have lived in the area for over 50 years and have never heard a move for this to become BHISD zone.

Why do we have to know everything? Why not just trust that your AD has put some thought into all decisions that are made? It seems like we live in a society where we must know everything. Decisions like this should not have to be explained,

Why not let kids who go to private schools participate in public school athletics also? That would be the same scenario.
