Bellville and Needville finished up the scrimmage with another controlled session for the first team offenses and defenses of 15 plays each. Needville failed to score again with their 1st team offense and only gathering 1 first down. Bellville scored on a 55 yard run on their 7th play. All in all good showing from Bellville. No star RBs this year for the first time in probably 6 ish years but they run tough. Bellville will travel to El Campo next week for their last scrimmage.

I still can't get over the amount of players HJ had on varsity. 53!!!

Coach said they had over 120 in the program.

By far the most I have ever heard for Hardin-Jefferson.

I'm trying to find out for myself on that particular scrimmage myself since they went up against us but that scrimmage happened yesterday I believe.

I didn’t get to make the scrimmage, but I was told that liberty has scored 3 touchdowns and Anahuac scored 4 I don’t know how accurate that is, but that’s what I was told. Also, I read in the local newspaper that Anahuac suited up 77 players this year.

I was talking about the Coldspring vs. Livingston scrimmage but that's good to know about yall's scrimmage as I plan on making the late season game between our schools.

Me too for both teams... I have seen some video and pictures of Livingston and their practice sessions and they have some size on them but that’s about it.  The next scrimmage we have against Crockett I should be there to check out our team this year.

I forgot to mention, when I was at WO-S at Lumberton scrimmage, Lumberton actually had a PA doing play by. Pretty sure that was a first for me. In fact, I can't recall ever a scrimmage I attended that had a PA, let alone doing play by.

I guess they needed practice as well. lol

Play by play by a PA during a game is the worst… Can’t stand it
