Silsbee is always overrated, WOS is no where close to where they were under Hooks and Thompson, and PAM is so poorly coached(maybe why they folded the tent this past season). None of those teams will get you ready for the tough district they are in

I see they have WOS and Silsbee. I guess they will try and get LCM, Lumberton, or United for the other

and we wonder why they can’t compete!

n

"Silsbee is always overrated"... LMAOOOOOOOO

West brook is rebuilding and need some wins to build confidence. They starting a Soph at QB and will be young.

Its not like they need a ND schedule to get ready for the playoffs.

Lol, they not making the playoffs. If it was the Aldine schools of the 90’s then I would give them love. I’m actually rooting for them being it’s my Alma mater.

they played 12 games... they went 6-6 and they were very young

You only play 10 non district teams and you lost to Bellville in bi district. Somehow I missed a game. My mistake, i thought i was referring to WOS.

I said that because Nederland has been horrible. Silsbee is always overrated Did you see the score between them and Bellville?  So you are correct, playing and getting beat by WOS and Silsbee was bad. This is what I have been trying to tell everyone Nederland has been terrible the years under the current staff

They got worse as the years progressed, players quit the team due to the coaching staff, there was zero discipline, and extremely poor coaching and IMO this is why they are keeping teams in a classification below them, hoping somehow they can get a win

Are you starting to see how bad they have been?

Bellville would have beat Nederland alot worst than they beat silsbee. Bellville  would probably have taken out most teams in setx other than Port Arther and PNG. I dont see silsbee being overrated. We had skill players just lacked depth in the trenches.

I had someone suggest that Reyes made that schedule with the likely hood that he wasn't going to be there to have to play it.

I didn't believe it but it is an interesting way to look at it.

Im really surprised he applied for that job. I feel like the Nederland job would be hard one to compete in. You have to beat PNG and then you have 7 years to make it to a state championship and win it.

Wasn't the only job he has applied to from what I am told.

Yes Bellville could have beaten Nederland worse than Silsbee. So I see LCMAlumtiger32 you are finally beginning to understand my post on how bad Nederland has been. Yes Silsbee is always overrated Have they won a state championship NO have they been to a state championship NO. Have they had some good teams YES  However the issue is that people think they are better than they are. That is why I say always overrated

Yes, and because Nederland is playing Silsbee, Nederland will have no chance to succeed.

Your right about no state championships. I never said they were world beaters but in the setx area they are a top team.  They  would struggle against Carthage, Gilmer and PG. im sure a few others.

You think you are better than you actually are, SP.

You often unfairly run down a lot of these local coaches, as a former coach yourself, you would think you would have more respect for the profession than that.

    • We'll see. I don't trust us.
    • Starting pitching has been shaky the last few weeks due to some injuries outside of Hagen Smith.  He goes tomorrow, so y’all should be fine
    • Manchin may get it but any mention of the radical left that wanted to get rid of the filibuster and end almost 220 years of history because the Democrats are mad?  The House and Senate are obviously different legislative bodies with entirely different election processes and rules for a reason. The House can vote on laws with a simple majority vote. The Senate put rules in place that it would make it much tougher to pass laws. Laws should be difficult to pass. The Senate is often the holdup of the right and left. It takes 60 votes to break the filibuster so any law will almost certainly require agreement at least in part, from opposing sides of an issue. Because they can’t get laws passed, the radical left is like a baby having a tantrum and wants to change over 200 years of history and make it potentially ridiculously easy to pass laws. I have seen current poll maps and it is possible for the Republicans to sweep into complete power in November but by the tiniest margin. That would possibly mean that a single vote margin in both houses could enact what you might call the radical right laws. There would be nothing that the Democrats could do to stop any legislation whatsoever if the left (they are all radical, minus Manchin) got their filibuster rule changed.  That is where the current filibuster comes into play as any new law would require several Democrats to agree with the majority Republicans and vice versa.  Do you want the potential for your radical right to have free rein as the radical left wants by killing the filibuster or is the radical left just as (if not more) dangerous? Let’s see if we have a history in this area? Oh yeah, the Democrats changed the rules in the Senate to allow federal judges to not have to overcome the filibuster. Obama was not getting his federal judge nominations passed and being angry, they changed the rules instead of nominating more moderate justices. They were warned that it would come back to bite them. They didn’t care and chose the nuclear option to change the rules. Oops! Any guess how Trump got all of his Supreme Court nominees passed against strong Democrat opposition? The Democrats got rid of the filibuster for federal judges after another tantrum   So when you are so worried about the radical right, are you equally concerned in what the radical left is always doing by changing rules and history which were put into place just for situations like we are in? So while Manchin gets it, what about his other 50 colleagues (49 + Harris)?  What concerns you more, Abbott and Paxton or the Democrats who want to make it to where if the Republicans do take over, they can go wild… at least in your mind?
    • MODS please remove that ISD twitter link! I had no idea it would copy the whole posting. I only highlighted the portion about the venue change. Sorry about that!
