All this talk about the boys being so young, the Silsbee girls starting lineup is also really young. They ain't beating HJ though. Not sure it'll even be that close if that game happens.

A better discussion of this year’s Bobcats would be Coach McDonald. We talk a lot about good coaches in that district, but AT BEST he had the 4th most talented team in that district and finished solo second behind Silsbee. All this while missing either his best or second best player for much of the district season. Tremendous job coaching.

Please stop believing and making up rumors. My son never played for PA Memorial and this is SETX forum not FB. He came to HF district because that's where his family has graduated from the past 10 years and currently has him, 4 first cousins, and 3 second cousins that attend the district. You have no idea what you are talking about at all. Yes #2 grandfather, my cousin, and I had a talk about something I said and I gave both him and #2 father an apology because that's what grown men do especially when it's family. We have zero problems with each other and it's still all love there. You taking the words of gossip and misunderstandings and using them as facts. I understand you upset about the season and how it went for #4 but I'm not the coach, assistant coach, AD, or an educator at HF high school. Like I said #4 is a good kid and I have no problems with him at all and wish him the best of luck in his future endeavors. As far as my son, I can speak for him, he feels the same and has no ill feelings towards anyone. He's focused on Tuesday's game versus Orangefield with his teammates and that's all. All I can do is apologize if anything I've said offended you. You could have just asked to speak to me whoever you are and I would have done so.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the Bengals had only 4 penalties all game long but 3 of them came on the last Ram's drive to ensure that the Rams score. At 1:44 point in the 4th quarter, the refs call a holding penalty on the Bengals. 1) It was NOT holding! 2) It kept the Rams drive alive to eventually score. Again -- like I keep saying, the Rams were NOT going to lose! PS -- There's talk about T. Brady going to the 49'ers. If this is the case and the NFL thinks this is needed entertainment, then I'll guess the 49'ers end up in the Super Bowl and win it. I believe Woodville was highly ranked in the first game. The spread was was implemented by coach Hand I believe because of the youth of his club. Not coming out to contest the ball was a huge mistake on the Woodville coaches part. It was not something he did to keep his team close. If you talk with Leland tell him I said hello. TheDream34 forcing a team into a game of chase is a strategy as well. Yes it can be an aggravating one for the team chasing, but it's a strategy none the less and within the rules. If people don't like it then maybe they should avoid high school basketball games. Well at least ones where a team is trying to give themselves a chance to compete against a stronger opponent. And my question for the haters, would you be mad if your team used the same strategy or would you talk your coach up like he is a genius?

At the start of the year, each division has around 5-8 teams that have a realistic chance. Your Opinion! Think about this Franklin beat Lorena 27-20... Lorena beat Woodville 50-6. Dont get me wrong I hope for a good game. Woodville fans used to talk mess to Franklin fans and players on the fssw app back in 2018. Some have not forgotten about how Woodville said that they would kill us if we ever met up. With the game being in Franklin your chances drop a good bit. It's hard to win in Franklin we had a 4 year win streak at home at one time. But who knows

The same violator on the QB also had a way late hit out of bounds he was flagged for earlier on our RB. Your so called dirty play from the safety was a hard physical hit between the whistles... your QB should not have thrown the crossing route with the safety there. Absolutely NOTHING validates the hit on the QB by the Silsbee kid....that was equivalent to the sucker punch on the poor LCM kid in the basketball game. You can not justify it....period This is one of the many things wrong with some kids today, they think they have a reason to retaliate over the wrong things. How about repeat that over and over....and how it lead to losing games in a great rivalry. Less than 10% of the money goes to "infrastructure." Just remember this. What they talk about here is that if any state wants to build or repair any highways, they go to the bottom of the list. But, if a state wants to to build a bicycle path then they go to the top of the list. Now, back to building highways: If a state wants to proceed with anything, then the EPA will come down on them with endless environmental studies. My observation the past several years. If your kid is lucky enough to play college ball, the overwhelming majority struggle at the D1 level. Meaning lack of playing time, as well as adjusting to the every day grind that they’re not use to. Most leave after first year and go to a Juco to see if they can find a spot somewhere to get more playing time. All of a sudden they find Juco ball is extremely tough as well. They don’t have as much practice restrictions as D1. It’s brutal and body gets beat up pretty good. If you follow local players, watch how many last past two years and I’m talking some really good players in HS. Right now, college ball at all levels is very strong. Also, last year D1 had unlimited rosters due to Covid. This year they can have 40 on roster, and next year it’s back to 35 on roster. It’s definitely an uphill battle, the kids that want to play at next level better bust his tail in class, weight room, and skill set. After that work extremely hard on the mental aspect of the game, because that’s where the majority struggle. I could talk all day😁, but this my opinion based on having a kid currently playing and our talks.

now lets talk about Brock 6'6" player that can handle ball and shoot - that makes wins come easy. so lets look at before and during and after Brock so basically Lumberton only made playoffs one time before Brock and Mitchell was player on that team (so that gives him some skill in the game) so Lumberton without Brock and with Mitchell - no playoff appearances Lumberton with Brock and Mitchell - 3 playoff appearances First year without Brock and with Mitchell no playoff appearance quick assessment - Lumberton was only good because of Brock - not Mitchell - is this true, not accurate, unfair, only time can answer

And coach green is taking those athletes deep into the playoffs in a higher classification against significantly better competition, not losing to the first team with a winning record he faces in the playoffs every year.
