  1. I think that his comments is what he was convicted on. Had they not had that, he probably wouldn’t have been convicted. That is one reason that I do not talk about what I would do. If you make an off the cuff comment like, “If that happened to me, they wouldn’t need an ambulance, they would need a hearse”…. then later you are in a maybe different situation but resort to deadly force, don’t be so sure they someone won’t find that comment and use it against you. “He has obviously been waiting for the opportunity to kill someone” or worse…. the opportunity to kill one of those people. (whoever “those” may be)
  2. Not always. Like one is for my wife and she doesn’t always go. My friend is in the same situation but this year her grandson is playing so he may or may not have an extra each week. I had season tickets for maybe 20 years… but they were in another person’s name. When one of his sons got married, all of a sudden the in-laws wanted “my seats”. Poof…. they were gone! When Nederland removed the band from the stands to open up more tickets, I grab some online in that new overflow area just to make sure I could get in the game. One year later (last year) after I had renewed my seats, I went to the trade-in day. My friend and I who had seats together and sat together in the new expanded section last year, were in the 2nd and 3rd spots in line for trade ins. We got lucky with the 50 (literally) yard line seats with him having four seats on one row and me having three matching seats on the next row. We just wanted to improve our seats a little each year instead of those end sections. We got very lucky with prime seats in one year. Talk about cutting a big hog in the butt with a little knife……
  3. Happens all the time.. College coaches limiting their pitch counts in high school. My suggestion is to talk to some high school coaches and see what they are told by their players.. As for football Sr. all star football games all you have to do is look at local and state all star games.... you really think the best players in the state of TEXAS are going to small colleges like SFA, McNeese, Lamar and etc... You will rarely see any SEC, Pac 10, Big 12 kids there.. why their school does not want them playing.
  4. This reminds me of a talk show I saw years ago. It was about unruly kids. They prefaced the show with audience reactions to this 12 year old girl. They started by saying she had cursed her brother (audience….boooo), then she had pulled a knife on her mother (audience….BOOOO), then they said that she even kicked the dog ( audience…..SHOOT HER, OFF WITH HER HEAD!!!!!! Blah, blah) It was as ridiculous as this topic…. And I started it. lol
  5. The thread question is about their overall athletic program. Not just football. If? You talk as they will. Things are so much better.
  6. Because they were in the regional finals (Or State Quarter Finals pending on who you talk to)
  7. Talk from who? Who was actually there that has knowledge of this that is speaking on it?
  8. totally agree, but there sure is a lot of talk that this dog may not have been one of them.
  9. you're doing exactly what you're mad at the media for doing. you complain about their double standards, but then you're comparing Obama eating dog in a dog-eating country as a small child to Noem shooting a dog as an adult. I don't like Obama, but give me a break on that comparison. And let's be clear here, the media didn't sink Noem's career. She sunk it herself. Not sure why all of you guys are conveniently ignoring it, but there's a whole lot of talk that her dog wasn't a chicken killer at all, and that she just shot it because it wasn't a good hunting dog and she didn't like it. If it was eating people's chickens, I have no issue with it, but it's looking more and more like she was trying to get ahead of things and fashion her own narrative before the actual story came out. for what it's worth, that's the only way her decision to publish this stuff makes any sense at all. Nobody will ever convince me that she and her handlers thought adding that story was a good idea, and had no ulterior motive to do so. The reaction to it is the most predictable thing ever, even if the most conservative among us are just totally disgusted that 3/4 of the country disagrees with her actions.
  10. That conversation shifted gears. As far as parents moving their kids to schools that best suit their interests.. that's been happening since long before the talk of vouchers. It can't be stopped. I'm on the fence. I see the arguments for and against.. but I think that maybe a parent's school tax dollars should go to the school of their choosing. Schools should do better job implementing programs and others that A) keep kids there.. B)attract from outside. Competition is good.. why shouldn't schools have to compete?
  11. For what it’s worth, there’s some talk that this incident is pretty well known about in SD and she was trying to get out in front of it. That story goes that she just got pissed at the dog because it messed up her hunt and she was having trouble training it, and now she’s trying to spin it into something more justifiable. There’s supposedly witnesses. If that’s the case, it’s a whole other issue. I’d sure like to hear from the family that owned the chickens the dog is supposed to have eaten at this point.
  12. I don't think it is overly hyped.. I am seeing less and less multi-sport kids when it can all be prevented.. A coach teaches l loyalty, work ethic, comradery, integrity, perseverance, etc.. to get kids to buy into their program. They talk about brotherhood and doing what is best for their community.... But some mean all of this just for football... Kids see into this double standard and will quit.. either while on the field or off... drives me crazy!! and again... I work with these kids.. they tell me what they think.. so you can agree or disagree.. its their point of view!!
  13. I could talk forever about this.. I have quite a bit of first hand knowledge about the way kids feel about this subject. I don't agree with the kids when they want to quit one sport to "focusing on one sport" but understand reasoning why they quit especially in JR. and SR. year... Keep these two things in mind. It you agree with these two statements then you can understand: Multi-sport kids should be pushed to play what they want to play... Kids should be never be mandated to play any sport.. All repercussions fall back on the AD... It's the AD's program. If they mandated it, the AD has to take responsibility.. even in accidents... Good AD's know how to navigate multi-sport kids. They inspire the want to play. Bad AD's do not and cause tension inside their entire athletic programs.. this is when you see kids that contribute in one sport quit usually after 10th grade year.. Really bad AD's have caused so much damage that the kid quits being a multi-sport athlete (quits football) after his 8th grade year. He never even gets to coach them in high school. Again I could get very specific but not gonna.
  14. [Hidden Content] dont mind the big RED FLAG liberals
  15. They'll get rid of the anti communism talk first thing.
  16. Yeah, I got that but talk about a stretch. It should seem obvious that Trump’s prosecution is purely political. If someone is going to do a whataboutism, at least make it similar. This is so ludicrous that it’s like comparing a ham sandwich to a wallet.
  17. Where did you find that info? You would think you would want to tell people that info. They talk about his degree but nothing about being a OC. Nederland, Tx — – Nederland ISD is proud to announce the new Athletic Director and Football Head Coach. After an interview process including several qualified candidates, Scott Rich was selected as the new Athletic Director and Football Head Coach. Rich has served at Katy High School in Katy ISD for 8 years as the Assistant Football Coach over quarterbacks. He holds a degree from The University of North Texas.
  18. First of all it’s a message board I could care less but I got time today . I really figured you were talking about the coaching staff , no parent ever buys in because their impossible to please and the community only supports you when you’re winning. So all of that doesn’t mean anything. And your lil cheerleader BmtSoulja or whatever he calls himself you have the nerve to talk about knowledgeable maybe you should hit some coaching clinics because obviously your eyes don’t work .
  19. Great post. That’s why I talk sports with someone that is knowledgeable and doesn’t post with their feelings and emotions on their chest.
  20. Having a debate about Trump or Biden is a waste of my time I honestly hope he wins so I can get on here and read the replies of what is to come the next 4 years.. talk about a #### show... it'll be all that and more
  21. A jury found that he did it. Then Trump lost two subsequent lawsuits for defaming the person that he raped. I guess she just wasn’t very found of being grabbed by her fematalia, huh. Words have comsequences… even when the so-called “Christians” chalk it up as locker room talk. The best part is that if Trump declared Easter Sunday to be transgender appreciation day, every single one of y’all would all be rummaging around in your wives’ closet trying to find something to wear. Kinda like being proud of Trump getting us a vaccine at “Warp Speed,” then refusing to take the thing after Biden/Harris hung it to him in a free and fair election.
  22. I heard talk that the GPS on ships are not encrypted. There was recently a ship that had its GPS hacked. I don't recall if there was any damage.
  23. [Hidden Content] I don't follow the Felon League anymore but OMG is there alot of talk about the officiating in the Bengals-KC game. I mean locally, not just on social media. A "script" needs to be followed. One of the last games I watched is when a New Orleans WR got TRUCKED by a Ram CB well before a red zone pass arrived, and you know the rest of that story. They are not going to be able to hide the game fixing much longer. The NBA ref finally spoke up years ago, it will happen again.
  24. Tell me how y’all feel about Lcm next season
  25. Kids will be kids… form of trash talking is part of the game. Gotta control your anger. If you don’t want them to trash talk do your job and lock him down, complete those passes, catch the ball and get open and etc…. but this could have been way way worse situation…. Thank goodness it wasn’t. Parent attacking a kid. Straight clown behavior…. Wrong kid/ family getting attacked could have resulted in a shooting/stabbing or whatever. People today seem to be more trigger happy imo.
