I agree, this seems egregious. 

even if someone is not a conspiracy theory type, things like waco/Killeen swapping with PNG/NED will damn near cause a person to.

If they lose the next one we’ll hear all about it though 🙄

I miss those years where it was HJ/Silsbee fighting it out for district every year and then competing to make it to state.  HJ has obviously dropped off some in the last 10 years or so, and Silsbee has gotten even better, but the whole landscape of 4A basketball is skewed due to all the houston teams in our region, combined with having to face the dallas teams if you make it to state.

To go to the trouble of getting TD on board, only to not hire his recommendation - I’m not saying there would be a riot, but it might be smart to buy stock in a pitchfork company.

Not sure what they offered to replace them with, but if it’s not something that’s anchored to the walls I can understand why they said no.  Those type of hang on goals are very common in little dribblers.  A moveable standup goal can fall (especially when the bigger kids start trying to dunk on them), has to be stored on site, and also in most gyms wouldn’t fit under the 10 ft goals in place and the base would be in the court of play.  Now if they’re offering to buy 10k adjustable units that hang from the ceiling then that’s a different story

That’s because you find the most negative thing in every situation.  They went 2-27 two years ago, 9-22 last year.  This year they’re 9-9 after 18 games, and 3-2 in conference (one basket away from 4-1) after going 5-13 last year.  I struggle to understand how someone can look at those results and not note the vast improvement from year to year, but only find things to complain about.  

So Lamar men's basketball is now 11-9 and 5-2 in conference.
Hardly the same team from the last two seasons. But only an idiot would say something like that.
 

That Fairfield squad has been something really special the last 5 years.  

Considering the recent bond failure, I wouldn't look forward to anything like this in Silsbee anytime soon.
They need a new middle school first and foremost.

TD has no interest in coming back to this area. His son  and grandkids are at SLC , and daughter close too. Realistically,  what proven HC is coming here? Ned will likely get a coordinator looking to move up, kinda like the Injuns. And hopefully as good. jmo
 

It’s like they reload! When I coached Little Dribblers back in the day and we went to Nationals, they always had awesome teams! They have a great program there - little league thru high school!

they don’t need to rush and make a bad hire.  but your post makes it sound like you think Nederland and their applicants are on the same time frame, which is not the case.  Those guys are applying at other places, so Nederland better figure out who they want quick, or risk losing them to another job.  So while I agree with you that it’s critical that Nederland hires the right guy, it’s also critical that they make the hire before the right guy takes a job somewhere else.  

They have cut back when it comes to this area. If you look on their site, they are still doing around 8-10 games on Tuesday and Friday. Just not our area.
The Hudl gig is cutting into their business some. NFHS is using Hudl for some of it's broadcasts without commentary. 

I understand where you’re coming from, but there isn’t an unlimited timeline for this.  The offseason has already begun and the new coach needs time to build a staff and then start building his program.  The clock is ticking.

I just hope they allow the new coach to bring in their own assistants that has bit us in the past hopefully the school board has learned
