Wow, wish i would've watched this one. Hard to believe Texline was able to bounce back after giving up that 17-2 run to start the fourth. -
#11 Huffman Vs # 3 Argyle Predictions

I want Huffman to win, i just don't see it happening. Argyle is so much better than anything Huffman has seen all year, and Argyle has beaten several elite teams. -

disappointing. HJ gave this away late. To be fair, HJ had the best player, but Canyon looked like a little better team. -

poor decision making by HJ there. Going into the press HJ under minimal pressure gives the ball to a non-ball handler to break the press, leads to a quick turnover. then a lazy pass on the ensuing inbounds leads to another. HJ had this game almost in the bag. Literally make it past midcourt on that first possession and they're likely up 5 or 6 with under a minute left. instead they're down 2 in the blink of an eye. -

Canyon was 13/19 from the field in the first half. Hard to beat a team that doesn't miss or turn the ball over. HJ is going to have to really take care of the ball and not waste possessions. To give you an idea on how well canyon takes care of the ball, HJ had one steal in the first half. They probably have averaged 30 steals a game on the year, no exaggeration. -

Canyon is really good, but they can't like this pace. -

HJ with a dumb foul with 2 seconds left in the quarter, then poor defense on the inbounds leads to a canyon 3 at the buzzer. -

Yup. They’re losing their fifth leading scorer and two other seniors who combined for 43 points on the year. Not even sure if one of them is still on the roster. They’re going to be better next year than this year

Dodd City finally dethroned Nazareth in 1A, where they'd won 4 straight, and 24 total. Dodd City were state runnerups to Nazareth in 17, 18, and 19.

never heard of brownfield, but found them on the UIL site. two crazy things... 1) they don't have a senior on their roster this year 2) their first round playoff game was a blowout. following that they won their playoff games by 2, 2, 7, 5, 3, and 4 points. Don't know if I've ever seen a run like that.

#2 Beaumont United Vs #12 Dallas Kimball Predictions

The UIL isn't correct either, because it has one of their losses to lancaster in district as a win, and their loss to South Grand Prairie as a win. Maxpreps has them at 18-10. It doesn't have several games on the schedule that the UIL has. So I guess their actual record is 24-10? -
I don't think everyone will stop, but a lot will. I would be willing to bet that if you took those 20 people to somewhere other than a vaccination center some, if not many, of those people would not be wearing a mask. I go to the same convenience store 2-3 mornings a week. They've had a hard mask rule since all this started, and wouldn't let people shop without one. I never saw anyone without a mask on in there for a year. I went in with a mask today and the cashier and all three customers were without. Literally the first place I went under the new rules. It's definitely going to lead to some spikes in sickness. On top of the no masks restaurants and businesses are going to be allowed to pack a lot more people in on top of each other.

I hope I'm wrong as well. But the last I saw less than 10% of the state is fully vaccinated, and about 10% has been diagnosed with covid. I think we can confidently estimate that at least 10% more have had covid and not been diagnosed. That still leaves a LOT of people who're at risk. There are a lot of people out there who are ready to go out and act stupid. I guess we can hope that that rate won't increase much from the rate of those that were already doing so.
