Canyon is really good, but they haven't been quite as convincing the last couple of rounds, barely squeaking by some good (but not great) teams. They're a deliberate team like China Spring, but considerably better. The good news is HJ played pretty poorly and were able to get by China Spring. If either one of these teams plays poorly the other should win. They're pretty evenly matched, with two completely different styles. If HJ can play their game and dictate the pace to some degree I expect them to win fairly comfortably (9-12 points). If Canyon controls the pace I can see them winning a close game (2-6 points). I'll predict something in the middle of that. HJ 66, Canyon 59.

I do as well. 3 losses, with one being a 1-point loss to lancaster and the other a 9-point loss to waxahachie. I'd assume the other loss might've been covid related, but who knows these days. It definitely doesn't fit in with the rest of their schedule. Kimball is 17-10, but obviously a good squad to get this far.

I still don't understand why they're giving this out to so many kids. 23 kids. and did they do a 3rd team or honorable mention? If so I'd sure feel bad for any starter in the district not named.

Look forward to seeing how y’all game plan against canyon. One thing for sure is they haven’t seen the speed that y’all have this year. Might be quite a bit tougher slowing the game down than they’re used to.

I’ll say this... Jackson is a once in a generation player, but Sneed is a baller, and only a freshman. She’s been playing like a senior in the playoffs. There are several other good underclass players on this roster as well. The hawks could very well keep making these deep runs for another 3 or 4 years

If he was taller he could be a D1 player. I could definitely see him being a contributor on a D2 or D3 squad next year. *edit: his Twitter says he’s committed to Trinity

They looked SHARP tonight! This was a better team than their last two opponents and they worked them.

HJ blew it open!

HJ is the far better team. FTs the only reason this game hasn’t been busted open. Boerne making most of theirs and HJ missing a lot of theirs

Weird quarter. HJ drew 6 fouls and had about 8 steals. Not sure how this is a 3-point game. If there wasn’t a scoreboard I’d swear they were up 10

BU did well the first half. But cedar park hardly ever misses!
