Whatever Your Opinion Of Trump Is, This Is Hard To Disagree With!
bullets13 replied to Reagan's topic in Political Forum
Look, I don’t disagree with you. But if trump hadn’t spent the entire presidency coming off as an arrogant windbag it wouldn’t have been as easy to convince people. I 1000% believe that if trump didn’t have a Twitter account he would’ve been re-elected comfortably. -

I voted for Trump, but couldn't stand the guy. 8 years ago I would've voted against him simply to vote against him. He's a blowhard. Now I've moved far enough right that I can't vote for a democrat. People who are blinded by the the orange light seriously fail to see how many people got out to vote AGAINST Trump rather than for Biden. It was a whole lot of people. -
Hull-Daisetta vs Port Aransas
bullets13 replied to JohnRuthDomergue's topic in High School Boys Basketball
sadly, no. I believe this is the end of the road. Port Aransas is 7th in the state and should be higher. they're 25-4 and their 4 losses are to Aransas Pass (#8 in 3A, 27-2 record), single digit losses to London twice (#4 in 3A, 23-2 record) and a single digit loss to Flour Bluff (3 rounds deep in the 5A playoffs, 23-3 Record). I'm pulling for you guys, but this team is one of the 3-4 best teams in the state in 2A. -
BMT United vs Hendrickson Predictions
bullets13 replied to BADSANTA's topic in High School Boys Basketball
I'll take BU by 11. 3 of Hendrickson's 4 losses are to 6A playoff teams with solid records. they're 25-4. They're in the regional semis. They don't suck. But yes, they've had an easy playoff road to this point. -

Heart says BU, head says CS. I'll take BU by 3. -

It’s gotta suck having a nice season, making a decent run in the 3A playoffs, and then running into the defending 4A state champs -

You know nobody listens on here... -
The refs definitely helped them do so, but China Spring broke 50 points 6 times this season in 28 games. They also won 21 of those games. They’re definitely a slowdown team. They were behind the whole game or I’m assuming they would’ve slowed it down a whole lot more than they did.

To elaborate on this, Canyon beat 26-4 (8th ranked) Glenrose by 26 today, and Fredericksburg beat 23-2 (16th ranked) Robstown by 33 today. Both teams are more than capable of competing with the hawks.

Beaumont United 47 Manvel 42/FINAL
bullets13 replied to WOSgrad's topic in High School Boys Basketball
Good win. BU needed a test like this. Had some silly techs that kept Manvel in it early, and I thought BU forced too many drives into good rim protection. All in all, a win is a win, and this was against a quality opponent. Their next opponent won’t be much (if any) easier. -

Wow! Another great win for HD! That’s two massive upsets in a row! -
Gutsy win!

La Vega looks to be a solid team, but aren’t as good at slowing the ball down as China Spring. They beat Lumberton in the last minute. HJ beat the raiders by 48 earlier in the season. I expect a better performance from the hawks in a game that should suit their tempo and style of play a little better. That said, La Vega will copy China Spring if they’re smart, and they’ve shown this year they can win low-scoring games. I think the hawks win this one more comfortably. I’ll say 76-52 if LV tries to slow it down, but by more if LV falls into HJs style and tempo.

Hardin-Jefferson 57 China Spring 47/FINAL
bullets13 replied to WOSgrad's topic in High School Girls Basketball
I only listened to the broadcast. There were a lot of calls on them during the press, AND a lot of calls on shots in the paint. They just called it tight all the way around. They called a ton on CS as well, who had two players foul out. That said, the refs calling it that way definitely benefited CS. It slowed down HJs press some, and bailed CS out of some turnovers. They also got a lot of points from the line when they were struggling to score from the field. The announcer made it sound like there were more no-calls that benefited CS than HJ, but each team probably had 25 fouls for the game -

57-47 is the final. Good test for HJ against a slowdown offense and refs calling a super tight game -
