I hope everyone is ready. I've seen a lot saying it shouldn't be as serious as Imelda and Harvey, but it sure appears like it's going to dump heavy rain on us for quite awhile. Hopefully everyone stays safe and it's not too serious.

I did watch the whole game. Is Card your cousin or something? He played like crap. They brought in Thompson and he performed extremely well, and Arkansas still had plenty of starters still on the field. Thompson has played extremely well basically every time he's ever stepped on the field for the horns. On a completely related note, guess who just got named the starter this saturday...

Admittedly I’m not a mathematician, but it seems you could take the 600,000 cases in your study and review known factors and outcomes and arrive at those numbers. I would assume that the number of unvaccinated cases in their study was approximately 4.5 times as high as those that were vaccinated. If there were 30,000 hospitalizations and only 3,000 were fully vaccinated, I can understand how they would come to the conclusion that the unvaccinated were 10x as likely to be hospitalized. Based on the numbers I’ve repeatedly seen posted by various local hospitals that break down vaccinated vs. unvaccinated hospitalizations and deaths, I don’t think they’d have to be very creative with their math to come up with these numbers. It holds pretty true to what I’ve seen. I do understand that this is one study of 600,000 cases out of tens of millions of cases.

We’ve had students with anger issues who had an area where they were allowed to rip and tear paper, and it helped redirect and lessen their anger that was originally focused on other students or teachers. So I can see some value in this sort of thing.

Arkansas was a few close losses last year from having a pretty dang good season. They are better this year than last year. Texas looked bad tonight. I think it’s clear who their starting qb should be moving forward. It’s also pretty clear how overrated Louisiana was. I thought it was funny that the Arky fans stormed the field.

I think they want open borders to continue. Covid is just collateral damage.

Pretty sure liberty beat them 37-0 last year, and then went 1-5 in district. So I wouldn’t hang too much on this win.

I think it had a lot to do with the defense. That front seven is what got TB to the Super Bowl last year.

Great effort. Missed kicks killed us, but that was a pretty terrible no call on the offensive pass interference. -10 yards instead of +25. Brutal

Cowboys have looked pretty decent. Really impressed with Dak coming off the injury, the receivers, and the pass protection without Martin. The defense has been up and down, but has 3 takeaways. If Dallas had a kicker this is a 1-point game at the half. I’ll be surprised if we win, but I’m pretty okay with a decent showing against the defending Super Bowl champs with all 22 starters back.

I've always been confident that I shoot someone to defend myself, but was always curious about how I would feel. I was put in a situation a few years back where I had my pistol drawn and my finger on the trigger, and I didn't feel the first bit of reservation. I was glad that I ended up not having to shoot, but I left the situation feeling like if I'd had to I would've been okay with it.
