  1. Never tried it. I just buy DJ’s now. Far prefer it to zummos
  2. We use Texjoy BBQ seasoning. Clean the crabs well, coat them with texjoy, fill the cavity with garlic butter. Put on the grill cavity side up and cook for about 8 min, then once the butter has cooked in flip and let them go 2-3 more minutes. Absolutely delicious, and simple to do. Kinda reminds me of Sartin’s as well
  3. We've been barbecuing blue crabs a lot lately. I wish you could post pics on here like back in the old days. You only have to see a pic to understand how good they are. I've been blackening speckled trout a lot as well.
  4. I miss that restaurant. Was only about a 10 min drive from my house. I liked their EJ special (or something like that) with two cheese stuffed boudain balls covered in chicken and sausage gumbo. Their boudain was the best that I've had around here.
  5. [Hidden Content] Still doesn't identify the officer, but has some info.
  6. we all already knew this. i've been telling people for a year that it's possible for something to be bad, but for the media to still try and make it seem worse than it is for political or financial gain.
  7. Incredible season for HH and coach McDermand!
  8. 2-0 final. Huffman fought hard and had a really good run of play the last 20 minutes or so. Drew a foul that could’ve easily been a PK, but was ruled to be just outside the box
  9. Still 2-0 with about 25 min remaining
  10. Gulf in class showing. Boerne is definitely the class of 4A. Huffman was unlucky in the first half, hitting the crossbar with a long range shot. It went down off the bar, and I thought it went across the line and then spun out, but no goal was given.
  11. Absolutely agree. The thing about it is when most people screw up at their job, there aren't any consequences. The person at Sonic put mustard on my burger, they give me a new burger. The cashier accidently rang my new shoes up twice, she can take one of them off the receipt. There aren't any do-overs when you fire a bullet, whether you're justified or not, or if it was a complete accident as it was in this case.
  12. A criminal made an incredibly stupid decision, and an officer made an incredibly stupid mistake. Had Wright simply followed orders none of this would've happened, but the officer still screwed up on a monumental scale. One of the points I used to try to make when we could still have conversations about these things without being called racist anytime you side with the police is this: when you resist arrest or fight the police, you put them in a situation where they're more likely to have to make a split decision, and thus in a situation where they're more likely to make a mistake. It's a vicious cycle, honestly. People in the black community have seen enough legitimately bad acts against them from law enforcement to have a reasonable fear and distrust of police. But that fear and distrust leads young black men to do moronic things when they encounter police, which leads to many more police shootings. This case is a perfect example. Had this kid cooperated, the female cop would've never mistakenly pulled her gun, thinking it was her tazer. If the kid hadn't tried to drive off, she would not have pulled the trigger, thinking she was tasing him, while instead shooting him. It's not Wright's fault that the officer made a huge mistake, but his actions led to her being put in the position to make the mistake.
  13. Who’s ranting? I know you don’t trust the vaccine. Good for you. I’m just making a point.
  14. that's the whole point, though. they're occurring at a lower rate among the vaccinated than they do with birth control users. Are you anti-birth control now? We're talking about an average of 1 in 1,100,000 recently vaccinated people developing these clots (all 6 cases being women, and likely also birth control users), 1 in 6,800,000 dying from it. 2 out of 100 who contract covid die from it, and you think all of the measures to combat covid are stupid. go figure.
  15. 6 people out of 6.8 million got blood clots. Women taking oral birth control develop these rare blood clots at a much higher rate. These clots on average occur in 3 to 5 people per million per year. I'm not really sure what the concern is here.
  16. I'm hoping their need to appear to "handle it better than the republicans" will keep them working on eliminating it. But I'd say there's a decent chance you're right.
  17. Not sure. The last I saw the original folks in the original study were still not getting sick. Even if it only lasts 6 months that will go a long way towards ending the pandemic.
  18. I'm not a fan of big govt, but they've always controlled our lives to some degree. i definitely do not like the trend of what they're controlling or trying to control these days.
  19. I think homemade masks help some, but obviously not like an N95 would. I was never uncomfortable wearing a cloth mask into a gas station for two minutes, but if I was a nurse on a Covid ward I'd be demanding N95's as well. I think a rope around your waist is better than nothing, but a seatbelt is a lot more effective. I totally agree with you about people wearing them incorrectly. I feel like things will get back to normal at some point. With the vaccines showing an efficacy of 96%, and basically a rate of 0 for hospitalizations and death, having 60%-70% of the country get vaccinated will make a huge difference. Factor in the folks who get covid and develop natural immunity, and those that get it and die, and there are going to be less and less possible hosts. We're already seeing an incredible decrease in cases in most places.
  20. Fauci is a quack, but I don't think there are only two reasons that he could be wearing a mask. I think the most obvious reason is that he's the chief medical advisor to the president, and they're pushing for people to wear masks still. So if they're encouraging people to wear masks, it wouldn't make sense for Fauci to be running around without one, vaccinated or not. when he comes on TV telling people to wear a mask, he's going to have one on.
  21. yeah, it works, but like Big Girl said, there's still a slim chance you can get infected. In another three days I'll be considered fully vaccinated. At that point I don't plan on wearing a mask unless it's required (I'll still have to for work, for instance). I've already been foregoing the mask some since a couple of days after I got my second dose of the vaccine.
  22. looking at their stats from last year, I'd say lamar came out far ahead over McNeese on this one as well. McNeese and Lamar had similar records, similar schedules, etc., so it's not unfair to compare stats. Kasen outperformed Bush by a wide margin in basically every statistical category. As good as Bush is, I think he's reached a level of play where his size is a factor. He didn't have a terrible season for McNeese, but last season he was more of a role player instead of The Man like he'd been in high school.
  23. I don't really mind background checks. For safety reasons, it's important to make sure people are who they say they are when guns are purchased. Kinda the same way it's important to make sure people are who they say they are when they're voting.
