Fort Bend Crawford at #2 in 5A D2 is probably about right at this time in the season. You could tell they had played together for the last 3 years, and had senior leadership. I expect to see them and PNG in the R3 Finals against each other in a rematch of their upcoming predistrict game. Deer Park at #31 in 6A. After their impressive Week 1 35-0 shutout of Pearland Dawson in Pearland, I think they have--probably--one of their best teams in years. They should definitely challenge Dickinson for the DC. We'll see what happens this week in the Border Battle. La Porte will have played two impressive clubs to get ready for district play.

Lol. I have been on this board from the start; way longer than you have, and a couple of other boards before this one. Believe me, your not going to hurt my feelings. But whatever personal axe you have to grind with the program or the coaches, you need to sort that out. There is a difference between constructive criticism and just being negative about everything, and you haven't said a positive thing about anything on here. You don't see me on here saying that Ned is going to win district or go deep in the playoffs but there are positives and negatives in every game especially when you have teenage boys playing.

WB d-line played tough, but overall the WB D didn't tackle against Ned like the PAM D did against PNG.

Carthage would have a similar result as DeSoto if not worse probably….

PNG, I really think. Hopefully they've got the kick-off fumbles, dropped passes, and 25 yd over-the-QB's-head snaps out of their system now. Of course, if WB has those same things out of their system now also, then it could be a pretty good close game. I was pretty impressed with the WB D-line last Thursday night, actually.

I think North Shore is who you would choose if you had to select a team any given year. I still think STA would win 7/10 but North Shore is coached so well that they would probably have the best shot to mitigate the up and down talent cycles. For as good as our high school teams are it’s tough to compete against squads that can start a 3⭐️ at every position on the field

WO-S 35 Nederland 7. Another year of no defense and offense will not move the ball much on WO-S. Gave up 300 rushing yards to WB. Probably give up about 350 to WO-S. Quickly discovering over the past few years, the Bulldog players are soft. They have all these starters back off a horrific team. They praised the JV and freshman teams. Did they all quit? My take is they are not very good!

Tip of the cap to PAM. #21 is a solid RB. He runs north/south with a mean streak. Stop fooling around with the QB/RPO package and give #21 the football. On defense, #10 and #45 were difficult to block and disruptive. #72 was a load in the middle. Nice call by the PAM staff on the TE pass. Heavy run formation, then hit the TE behind the defense. Well done. Good first game. PN-G got better as the game went on. They made some mistakes in the first half but played tougher and better in the second half. Lots of good pieces to work with this season. Good luck to PAM this year. GO INDIANS!
