Official shortage creating more Thursday games
RETIREDFAN1 and 2 others reacted to AggiesAreWe for a topic
It's my understanding that this year the official shortage will really be noticeable in the fact that several games will be played on Thursday nights this year instead of Friday. A few even on Saturdays. For example, Hardin is playing half their games (5) on Thursday nights this year. We are aware of this situation and will do our best in making those changes to the schedules when they are posted.3 points -

Kind of sounds like the Scientist is correct. It was 100% lawfare. I'll even give you the benefit of the doubt: Name one crime that Trump actually committed. Now remember, if he did, why isn't he in jail?2 points -

I support Trump’s attempt to straighten out & correct our immigration situation. He’s following immigration law more than anyone I the last 40 or so years. Before immigration can be really addressed as a whole, the bleeding has to stop & be reversed. I support Trump’s attempt to make the American worker more competitive globally. I support Trump’s attempt to put more money back in working families pockets. I support Trump’s stance of rebuilding our military, & changing some of our philosophy to be able to be effective in war fighting (if necessary) by developing new tech. Other policies, I watch and wait. I don’t have to love him personally.2 points

Hopefully everyone will think twice before yelling at and demeaning the refs. I roll my eyes when I hear coaches and fans carry on about officiating. Almost every game I have ever been a part of that ended in a loss could have been won with better tackling, blocking, catching, throwing, etc rather than any calls the officiating made or didn't make. You cant change the refs, concentrate on the things you can control which is primarily "your team's execution".2 points

House Rules of Procedure: Rule 5, Chapter A, Section 3 (Starts on Page 89) [Hidden Content] Sorry. Took some investigative digging. I still don’t really see a penalty for non-payment other than forfeiture of funds and payment of other fees before receiving any new funding/pay—which is nowhere near the fine amount that could be accrued.1 point -
That's the problem for the Dems. They already have. There's not much for them to do. For example: Massachusetts has "zero" Republican Reps. Although Trump got 36% of the vote in Massachusetts. They can't do anymore. Now, the others may be able to do a little. But the Red States have more of an upside because we are learning to play the game. In the end, it's not going to look good for the Dems. Taking away the illegals being counted in the census is gonna be the real killer!1 point

I think they’re working towards that. Issue is, their key states (Illinois, California, Maryland, Massachusetts, New York, Wisconsin, and even Nevada) are already gerrymandered to the Democratic side so much, they can’t get many more—if any—seats out of them. From data I’ve read, Dems seem to gerrymander ‘bigger’, and Reps gerrymander more states but “smaller”—if that makes sense. Ought to be illegal for both. But, I don’t see any way to stop it. Incumbents will want to keep their seats. Just like the reason for no term limits. It does make a joke of representative democracy. But, we really haven’t had that in a very long time anyway. One way might be for a viable minor Party to really make inroads because of public dissatisfaction with the two major Parties. Harder to gerrymander for three. But, that’s a real long shot.1 point

The easiest thing to do is look at the prosecutors! Deranged Jack Smith? Disqualified Fani Willis? Racist Letitia James? All Dim operatives. There is nothing to think about. Every single one of them tried to politically assassinate President Trump via LawFare. Trump keeps winning, the bogus lawsuits are getting overturned and now the tables are turned and they are now on the hot seat!1 point -

President Trump Is Calling For A New Census!
thetragichippy reacted to OlDawg for a topic
I think it was his point. That’s why I said ‘technically.’ They would probably have to pick off 6. In the infamous words of Don Rickles in Kelly’s Heroes “Make a deal deal.” Some Dem Senator’s states may benefit from a more frequent census that didn’t have a large illegal immigrant population. Doubtful in this environment. But, stranger things have happened.1 point -

President Trump Is Calling For A New Census!
thetragichippy reacted to OlDawg for a topic
I think it would take 60. But, don’t quote me on it. There may be other ways since it’s a funding mechanism. The funding isn’t directly tied to the census. It’s used because it’s considered the ‘authoritative’ data. If it’s a budget process, it may only take a simple majority.1 point -

I actually like listening to people who express their own feelings without having to raise their voice or pound a lectern. I would like to hear him talk about Obama and Clinton. I know Trump isn’t perfect. I have never said he is, but with all the things happening in the world, Trump is having to mend the decay of woke policies too…..Maher alluded to that. Hoops, I can honestly say that you are the only democrat I have interacted with who is not infected with TDS.1 point

I am not democratic and have never claimed to be. I am a republican with Christian beliefs. Trump was never a republican he only said what others would not and his Mouth has never been filtered even when he had teleprompters. He was a con man coming out the blocks and he settled his suit with Trump university just before the elections. If you didn’t believe the fact that he was convicted of 34 counts by a jury of his peers you certainly wouldn’t except or believe he was found liable for sexual abuse and was ordered to pay $83 million for ruining Jean Carrol’s credibility.1 point

IF (Big IF) seats are vacated, they remain vacated until the next General Election in this case because of timing in an even numbered year. So, would still mean no quorum possible. Personally, I don’t see them being vacated. They have the ability to do this in the Texas Constitution—like it or not—and SCOTX doesn’t like to get involved in the politics of this stuff. They need to pass a House Rule designating a specific time of approved, physical non-attendance for future. Otherwise, the Dems can just say they were fulfilling their duties remotely.1 point -

4A D1 District 10 predictions
AverageJoe86 reacted to BEAR4LIFE for a topic
LCM has two returning starters on offense, albeit including the 2 star WR on the outside. The entire O-line has zero starts from last year, and the RB is pretty shifty but injury/fumble prone. All the rest are new to their respective positions with limited PT. They played well as a group coming up through Jr. High and freshman years, so there's potential with the minimal amount of experience. The defense also lost all but 4 starters so they're pretty limited on experience especially in the LB group with no returners. They're going to have to play a couple of key offensive starters both ways IMO to be competitive. That includes the QB/WR starters. Having high hopes for the group, but it's going to be tough to replace the 14 all district players from last year.1 point -
