I grew up in Tyrrell Park - a predominantly black neighborhood. Those stories I told about looking back on the good times were with both my white & black friends. No matter the color - WE ALL SHARED THOSE GOOD TIMES! Sometimes, life is what you make of it. We were on the poorer side than most. I never knew it though. I said this about my Mom at her funeral. YOU have chosen to spotlight the difficulties in his life instead of the shining points, though they may be few. Try reversing your approach, and I guarantee you'll be a better person for it.

I think they knew. I just think it was the biggest fraud ever perpetuated on the American people. I may not be a major Trump fan—although I do like more than a few of his policies during these times—but how people can claim he’s a dictator, an oligarch, and all this other nonsense about a threat to democracy when they themselves totally disregarded democracy the last election cycle is beyond me. If I was a Democratic voter, after what the Party did with superdelegates to put Clinton over Sanders, and then oust Biden—after voters selected him— & installed Harris, I wouldn’t trust them with my vote. They’ve proven to not give a whit what their voters want. At least the Republicans let their voters choose the candidate. For better or worse. I can see this, and I’m a frickin independent, libertarian kinda guy who thinks they’re opposite sides of the same coin.

I was joking with my "listen to the OC comment". Based off the WV posters in this thread it would seem they think they lost to Gunter because last year's HC didn't listen to the OC and open the offense up. I ain't from WV and do not think they improved their situation with this hire.

absolutely. Coach Kenebrew is a great guy, and did a great job at HF, and I wish him nothing but the best. He's definitely bettered his situation. HF just isn't capable of paying what some other area districts can afford to pay, which makes it tough to attract/keep quality coaches.

This right here, China can't afford to lose us as trade partners. Their entire economy/work force has been built to accommodate the USA. They lose us, the lose the ability to increase their military and keep those factories open. I think people forget how powerful we are........

You are right but that was his choice. I was told that responsibility will be passed on to a current football on staff not the new basketball coach. I was told that the new coach will only be coaching basketball and track. My source could be wrong.

My guess is he is using their internal polling which has a better number. I recall during the election when polls had Kamala wining the Presidential election and trump and team telling folks it was in conflict with their internal numbers.....and by who is President right now.......they were right. Then add, who are these Republicans that regret voting for Trump? None of my Trump supporting friends regret it.... Lets be real - are we to believe the same media that told us Biden ran circles around his staff??

Once again, I find myself sharing common ground with you. I wish more on here and in the mainstream would reach across when it's fitting. Although we've definitely been through trying times, embarrassing times and downright treacherous times, I can't imagine a better country at any point in time than the United States of America.

Coach Kenebrew did not coach football last season. He only coached basketball and track. I spoke with him and he said he loved football, so he was at all the games cheering the guys on. Good luck to the new coach. And to clear it up Coach Kenebrew is not leaving HF because of football.

America was great when men could not use a woman's restroom because he "thought" he was a woman. 3. America was great when there was only 2 genders 4. America was great when the Government actually enforced immigration laws. 5. America was great when I didn't have to return my shopping cart to a corral the employees did. 6. America was great when I could go into a store and employees where doing work instead of playing on their cell phones. 7. America was great when sports teams could call themselves the Indians and not be cancelled. (props to PNG for refusing to change their name and props to Evadale for still flying the Confederate flag because they are The Rebel's)

I wonder when the left will start talking about policies they plan to implement rather than bash Trump, which is currently their entire party strategy. I hope they keep it up, assuring Vance in 2028, unless Trump decides to serve that third term.
