The refs have been involved more this year than I think they should be. But like one poster noted, they had a hard time finding refs. So, there’s no telling what they ended up with.

Other than a few plays the refs made a game of it. Mind you they were bad all night on both sides. A lot of picked up flags and quite a few head scratching calls. Several times it seemed like they weren't sure about their calls. And the poor ref kept fumbling the calls when he would announce them. As far as pulling the starters early. Mind it was 24-0 after the first quarter and 38-3 at the half. With a big game against Atascocita coming up what coach wouldn't pull his starters at that point. The game was firmly in hand so no reason to risk anything. The backups did indeed give up some yards. But again the refs put Humble in position to score more they put themselves.

Now that it’s over,like I said it was a must win…feel like backs are against the wall at this point,back to Montgomery and Verlander tonight so it should be a good one!

No Bryce's brother Brock isn't in high school yet. Brock King who was a stand out athlete at Vincient Middle School went to PAM for high school last year. King got an offer in 8th grade I believe.

Speaking of anniversaries: 2025 will be the 100th year of PNG and Nederland playing. That year, we played twice. A piece of me thinks it would be cool if we played twice in 2025 (preseason and regular) as a part of commemorating the century mark.

Ganders stick to using the QB in the rushing game, they can keep this one close. Can’t believe how they got away from it in key moments of the game against BH. Inconsistent throwing the ball but can deliver it well at times. I’m going for Lee in the upset with PAM looking ahead to the BH game.

So he's just supposed to say yeah you guys go play somewhere else when they are leaving because WB is in toughest district in the state? WB already in deficit with talent compared to who they play so why would the coach let open the doors to the remaining players to leave?

I would bet that things are pretty much set for this district.

We are not peaking. At best we are just surviving and beating some teams barely. Stop looking for the future (playoffs) and we need to worry about the game in front of us. Hope is all we have left at this point.

On paper, this one should be no contest, (just like last season). But Ned has many returning starters, while PNG has a few. PNG's QB is new, but he's played Ned before. The biggest factor may end up being the officiating. From what I hear, that's what got Ned past Dayton. BTW, where will the Ref crew be from for this year's game?

You cant play any summer ball or any type of 7 on 7 for any of the Kelly coach's before enrolling there. I know Legacy got kicked out of the baseball playoffs several years back for 2 players playing one tournament during the summer on the coach's select team before they were enrolled at Legacy. One of the kid's was taking a shot at his previous coach in the newspaper and mentioned playing in a summer game. It got turned in and just before Legacy was to play in the 3rd round of the playoffs they were eliminated. So if any of the Kelly coach's coached any of those kids before they were enrolled at Kelly then it was illegal. They can recruit though.

^^^^This right here^^^^ Only 11 teams in the "state playoffs" with them in baseball last season. Only 4 had winning records. That includes Kelly.. Doesn't sound like much competition to me.

Because the talent level they play against in every single sport is incredibly sub par compared to the competition the schools in Beaumont play. The "state championships" that Kelly has won and competed for are all on a 2A level or bellow equivalency.

They leading WR left BU a week before school started. Its a least 3 kids from WB and 2 from BU.
