For weeks this has been going around. The only people I go through are Coach Faircloth and the superintendent. A LOT of information that has been stated as facts by some has been completely wrong during all this. Not specifically on message boards, but in the community. I think I'm up to seven or eight different guys that people "know for a fact" are the replacement coach. But the current coach as of this afternoon is still there. Until that changes we won't be reporting on it.

Fifteen years ago, Crosby and Barbers Hill were in different districts that were much less competitive than the modern day 22-5ADII. And as I recall, both schools were getting thumped by PN-G in both predistrict play and the playoffs. I recall Crosby losing 37-7 one year and 38-7 the next, and Barbers Hill losing to PN-G five consecutive times over four seasons. Fast forward to today, when both schools have 300+ students more than PN-G, a ton more upscale subdivisions in town and at least in Barbers Hill's case, lots of nice, new facilities and cash to spend on coaches from Allen, and it's a different story. If there was a program that we can legitimately say was punching above its weight class back then, it was Dayton. Look at them now.

Likely something along the lines that led to us having 20 cheerleaders and everyone makes NDNettes. Parents are soft. Kids are soft. If they are not good enough parents complain. Post on Facebook and get the PN rumor mill flowing. Before too long we will have STJFL rules where every kid gets at least 10 plays.

People on the neighborhood watch are typically people who do not care about sports. They care about minding the gap at DQ. What just blew up and whose dogs are out running around. I would estimate we have roughly 5,000 fans show up to the game on Friday nights. Ten to fifteen percent of those leave after half time. Some are students and others are just there to socialize. I would say out of those 5,000 maybe 500 care enough to even know who all the coaches are. Now take that number and look at how many of those have a friend on the board or in admin. Then you see that there is a very small group that actually cares enough about football, the team moving forward and don't have a tie in that could cause grief by making a post and you have your answer why there is nothing on Facebook yet. I have heard so much speculation but nobody has the balls to post what is really going on. After the fact is too late to start spilling the truth. So here is a running list of the rumors I have heard. 1. His defensive coaches don't like him because he steals all the talent for offense. 2. The old guard group don't like him because he didn't hire PN-G guys when he first came in and treated some of the older guys with no respect. 3. He doesn't play board members kids enough. 4. Admin don't like him because he asks for too much. 5. He plays favorites and allows the better players to slide and makes examples of the lesser players. (This is a PNGISD problem) If your parents are tied in with the right friends your kids don't go to ISS or get reprimanded for the same issues other students do. 6. He voted for Joe Biden. (I don't know that but I might as well add my own stupid rumor)

The fact that it isn't on the All Things Nederland Facebook group makes me skeptical..lol

They already have who they want on stand-by. It doesn’t matter who applies. And if you’re in the know, you know who it is.

Faircloth leaves no good coach is going to want the job if after going 3 rounds deep you don't get renewed with that talent pool.

Silsbee trending in the right direction, but BU is capable of beating them by 25. No shame in that, either. If Silsbee wins it’ll be a shocker, with or without arceneaux

Fannett should have lost to Orangefield and got destroyed by Nederland. That's top 10 to you? I think Lumberton is closer to being ranked than Fannett when they get all there players healthy.

Where are the petitions?? Where is the outraged community?? I haven't seen this in any groups on Facebook. Nobody can cause a stink like the PNG community can. You don't like the cross in the park, we'll put thousands of crosses out. You don't like our mascot, we'll spell out INDIAN and Scalp'em on the football field with the band. And so on. Nobody is up in arms over this.

And I will add, I've never heard a negative comment about our Director. He is the best. And the Indianettes were awesome this season.

Good question, by maxpreps not one team that they have beaten has a winning record about the best record was 4-6. Three of them had no wins. They did beat that same St. Thomas Episcopal that we beat by 16. Episcopal does have a 5-6 record, so a little better than that 4-6.

I'm not near as nervous as last year. Last year I thought we had virtually no chance of stopping them, that offense was a machine. They're just not as potent this year. I also have more confidence in our new DC this year, Coach Poth would've called a shutout in a regional final if our dbs would get their heads around to the ball. I don't think we're better in the front seven than last year but I do think we have more of an advantage in general than last year. We actually did pretty well against their offense early on before they started throwing it on us which is what I would imaging they're working on this week too. On the offensive side of the ball I think our coaches are licking their chops. LH's defense isn't just bad, it's pretty awful. Their offense is their best defense. If Rouse or AH had any type of running game they would've both dropped 50+ on LH. I think Jones and Myles are going to have all types of space to run in and you can look at the passing numbers against them the last couple of weeks and see their dbs/scheme are very conducive to actually covering people. Long as we play clean I don't think LH's defense is going to have much success against us at all. Plus, time after time it's being proven that our coaching staff is better than what's across the field from them.

I don’t think it has anything to do with kids seeing the field. As stated above, one of those kids started/saw significant time playing and the other was on special teams and also saw playing time. Both of those members are not the type to go looking for a man’s job. Something else seems to be a foot here.

If Saban was available, Barbers Hill would have already paid him.

Silsbee doesn't have anyone that can stop Yates. They try to double team, he'll just dish it off for an easy BU basket. He'll do whatever he wants out there. You really are getting a preview of next year's BU with Arceneaux not playing. Still really good, but not nearly as scary.

Football season ended the day before. 8 players were on that football team including 2 starters and at least 4 of the next 5. Only 2 football players played at all in that game and they played sparingly.

I only know one member of the school board personally : Jake Lefort. He’s a former star player for PNG, and a former PNG coach (coached me). I think his son is on the team now. My opinion of him is through the roof.

Look up your leaders. Look up their credentials. Non athletes, rah rahs, get their feelings hurt type. Look them up. I am by far not a fan of BF….. but I’m also not a fan of stupidity. If he goes, the beans will Be spilled……. As I said leaks are leaked for a reason…

I brought that up in another forum when they announced against parents. Apparently the school saw the drawings and perceive the threat but did not search his backpack which they are allowed to do. The school district had the authority to take action, did not and pointed to the parents. People in glass houses…..

I actually wrote a long winded response to that and deleted it. That is what qualified immunity is all about and causing the current uproar over it. If a police officer follows state and federal law and follows state and federal court rulings and follows his own department’s policy, do you want to hold him responsible? What is a Court going to say, we find you guilty for following the rules that we made? Sue the city for making a stupid rule, sue the federal or state governments for their unconstitutional laws, try to get a different court ruling or whatever. Why hold the officer at the end of the line responsible for following all of the rules given to him by those entities?

This starting to sound like a nightmare.

Wow I didn’t know it had been 60 years since Crosby went to the State Championship. I am kinda new to posting on this board but I’ve followed the board for many years.
