  1. They already have who they want on stand-by. It doesn’t matter who applies. And if you’re in the know, you know who it is.
  2. Tickets were handled the "most fair" way. When tickets were sold in April, no one knew UIL would change the capacity to 50%. It's pretty hard to argue the district allowing participants parents first dibs at tickets to the game. I would be upset if I couldn't see my kid play/perform.
  3. Also I have to add I was glad to see the student section held until both teams shook hands and were able to finish the gane in a sportsmanship manner. Trophy or no trophy it was classy last night.
  4. Shug did what he does best. Every person in the stadium knew he was getting the ball but he couldn’t be stopped. The difference maker was our defense. They played Iike they were on fire and you could slowly feel the momentum shift as their confidence built. They had something to prove. All together, the Indians owned the night. Period. That being said, the Bulldogs have had a great season so far. Not to discredit Neumann in any way, but Coach Barrow in my opinion was always the man behind the curtain. Hence the reason Nederland is still a force be reckoned with. Glad to see him at the helm. This win will be celebrated all weekend but come Monday mid-county goes into their post seasons pulling for each other. The best of luck to both teams. #MidCountyMecca
  5. And they don't plan to. Ask any PN or Ned cop. Winners will be allowed on the field.
  6. I recall vividly after PNG scored to go ahead late in the 4th quarter at Bulldog Stadium, the announcer came on and said "no would is allowed on the field after the game." I remember because I found it a little suspect that it was immediately after we scored. However, we all know how it turned out. There are plenty of rumors galore out there, but I can verify with 100% accuracy that the winning team will be allowed on the field after the game.
  7. PNG and Nederland will play either Willowridge/Houston Sterling in week 1 of the playoffs Interestingly enough, both PNG/Ned and Willowridge/Sterling play this weekend. Two teams fighting for 1 or 2 and the other teams fighting for 3 or 4. Their game is Saturday so neither of us will know our opponents until then.
  8. Possible "punishments" are as follows... 1) Private reprimand; 2) Public reprimand; 3) Forfeiture; 4) Disqualification With the lack of facts so much speculation, I agree with BamaTex that the punishment was too harsh. Plenty of schools have received far less for far worse.
  9. I know Coach Faircloth to be a man of integrity and class, and if he or another coach violated a rule I firmly believe he would have owned up to it. Just my opinion. Everyone on here is entitled to theirs. Hey Realville I’m up to 3 posts... are we friends yet??? Lol.
  10. It’s not against the rules to watch the game on a screen in real time, which is clearly what this coach is doing and explains why he isn’t hiding it. There’s nothing to hide.
  11. I think 11 pages is plenty of talk about this issue. When Nederland forfeited two years ago, the moderators on this site shut the thread down before it even started. Will PNG be treated with the same discretion as Nederland? Let's respect the kids by doing them right and moving on. After all, it is about them... not the adults. (Long time lurker, first time poster. Just couldn't bite my tongue anymore.)
