My MVP for the game and that's the Most Valueable Person is Coach Green and I'm asking please say a prayer for him. The Jones Bros from Wharton weren't nothing nice. Does Connally have players as good? Ion know. Meanwhile the Tigers are at home resting up, catching up on their meals. By game time they should be ready. Not tryna look past Connally or anybody else, but some team has to go to SA & represent. Silsbee's chances of going are as good as anybody's.

I think I now have a favorite area team still playing. I love you BU and Silsbee but there’s only one Hull Daisetta!

BU by 25. Part of me thinks if you made this far it has to be for a reason, so maybe it'll be closer than that. Of course sometimes that reason is you had an easier path also.

No. I think BU played a really good Manvel team. This same team looked good when we scrimmaged them before the season. I also think we allowed them to dictate the pace. I think also that we learned a lesson and will push the tempo against this team and won’t let this be a low scoring game.

But I also have to remember the only 2 great coaches in our area is green and sigler.

Some freshmen aren't really freshmen with all the AAU & off season ball they play. I noticed that with Devon McCain & Jay Adams when they were freshmen. Then came Bre Bush who shattered freshmen expectations. All these middle school players they see all that, and they want to do the same thing.

This makes 7 straight years that Silsbee has made it to the regional tourney (regional semis, 4th rd) and 13 of the last 17 years (failed to make regional tourney in 2006, 2011, 2013, 2014). With a win Tuesday, the Tigers will be playing for the regional championship for the 11th time in the past 17 seasons. (won it in 2008, 2010, 2016, 2017, 2018; lost in 2005, 2007, 2012, 2015, 2019) I admit, I didn't think this year's team would continue that streak.

Once again Silsbee had 3 freshman finish out most of the 4th. I believe Bottley had three 3 pointers in the game. Game against Connally is gonna be on Tuesday at Madisonville HS at 7pm.

Good win. BU needed a test like this. Had some silly techs that kept Manvel in it early, and I thought BU forced too many drives into good rim protection. All in all, a win is a win, and this was against a quality opponent. Their next opponent won’t be much (if any) easier.

Only championship games will be held in San Antonio this year.

La Vega looks to be a solid team, but aren’t as good at slowing the ball down as China Spring. They beat Lumberton in the last minute. HJ beat the raiders by 48 earlier in the season. I expect a better performance from the hawks in a game that should suit their tempo and style of play a little better. That said, La Vega will copy China Spring if they’re smart, and they’ve shown this year they can win low-scoring games. I think the hawks win this one more comfortably. I’ll say 76-52 if LV tries to slow it down, but by more if LV falls into HJs style and tempo.

@whsalum I'm rarely suprised but that game suprised me last night. I was there with my dad, brother in law and family friend and we all left scratching our heads. I will say this betting against Harvey is like betting against Tom Brady. I don't recommend doing either. Huffman is going to be a hard out because everyone understands and embraces their role and that's hard to get young men/parents to buy into these days. Hopefully we see a Huffman and Silsbee matchup.

I see your point, but upperclassmen also do AAU as well. So freshmen expectations IMO should still be lower than the upperclassmen. That’s why all schools have freshmen teams. But there are exceptions. A LONG list of exceptions...

No. I’m talking about the Manvel player clapping in front of Wesley, basically saying ‘i got you locked up’. Yates then proceeded to take that challenge drove and got himself in trouble and turned the ball over.

And that will lead directly to our downfall. Just proof that the dims are an unGodly bunch, as if we didn’t know that already! Keep supporting people, if this is the direction you want to go. I hope your group does not do irreparable damage the next four years. Hopefully, the midterms will be a saving grace.

Well, Barrett did.

Example #1: loose ball, HJ player dives for the ball, and CS player falls on top of HJ player. CS player obviously knocks the ball out of bounds. Ref right next to it says HJ ball. Another ref all the way across court, comes and overturns the call. Example #2: I AM SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO SERIOUS ABOUT THIS. We are up 10 with about a minute to go in the game. CS inbounds the ball to a CS player, THEN they pass it to another CS player who was FULLY out of bounds. Not a foot or hair out, she was fully out. Then she throws it back in. SERIOUSLY? Right in front of the ref too. A win is a win at the end of the day. Glad the Lady Hawks didn’t fold in adversity! On to round 5!
