The Jones Bros from Wharton weren't nothing nice. Does Connally have players as good? Ion know. Meanwhile the Tigers are at home resting up, catching up on their meals. By game time they should be ready. Not tryna look past Connally or anybody else, but some team has to go to SA & represent. Silsbee's chances of going are as good as anybody's.

I think I now have a favorite area team still playing. I love you BU and Silsbee but there’s only one Hull Daisetta!

BU by 25. Part of me thinks if you made this far it has to be for a reason, so maybe it'll be closer than that. Of course sometimes that reason is you had an easier path also.

No. I think BU played a really good Manvel team. This same team looked good when we scrimmaged them before the season. I also think we allowed them to dictate the pace. I think also that we learned a lesson and will push the tempo against this team and won’t let this be a low scoring game.

But I also have to remember the only 2 great coaches in our area is green and sigler.

Some freshmen aren't really freshmen with all the AAU & off season ball they play. I noticed that with Devon McCain & Jay Adams when they were freshmen. Then came Bre Bush who shattered freshmen expectations. All these middle school players they see all that, and they want to do the same thing.

This makes 7 straight years that Silsbee has made it to the regional tourney (regional semis, 4th rd) and 13 of the last 17 years (failed to make regional tourney in 2006, 2011, 2013, 2014). With a win Tuesday, the Tigers will be playing for the regional championship for the 11th time in the past 17 seasons. (won it in 2008, 2010, 2016, 2017, 2018; lost in 2005, 2007, 2012, 2015, 2019) I admit, I didn't think this year's team would continue that streak.

Once again Silsbee had 3 freshman finish out most of the 4th. I believe Bottley had three 3 pointers in the game. Game against Connally is gonna be on Tuesday at Madisonville HS at 7pm.

Good win. BU needed a test like this. Had some silly techs that kept Manvel in it early, and I thought BU forced too many drives into good rim protection. All in all, a win is a win, and this was against a quality opponent. Their next opponent won’t be much (if any) easier.

I agree! But you know that fans complaining about refs comes with the territory lol. CS played a tough game. Their post is SOLID! CS also did not miss Ft’s, HJ missed 15 or so.

Was a great game too. One of the better ones I’ve been to. Other than some pretty poor officiating (it was bad for both teams and I’m usually pleased with Southland officiating - this game drew 2 of the worst ones in the conference), I thought the game was really well played. Both teams played a very clean, high level game.

Great win HJ. Keep it going. Also to the fans, quit complaining about the officiating. Jesus. Give some credit to CS for playing a tough game.

I’ll say this . In football when Manvel ran us off the field, United players dabed them up and went to the locker room and went home with class. Now in basketball, you have them acting like that after a loss. Says a lot. I have to admit. I take great satisfaction in seeing BU girls also beating Manvel as well earlier this week.
