  2. If this applies to me as well, let me be the first to say that I totally think Reagan should keep all of his money and definitely not send me a check for $10,000.
  3. You have to admit -- it does sound good!

  7. We have to provide ID all of the time. It doesn’t mean we are guilty of anything. I can see how that could be misconstrued though…..????
  8. I asked her. She wouldn't answer me. Kept dodging. As soon as she was elected she gave up her school board position. My question is, had she not won the election would she had stayed on the school board even though she was for vouchers?
  9. [email protected] Tom Halliburton’s Track Volume 38, Number 5 An abbreviated schedule with the overlapping spring break weeks delayed several of our region’s stronger track athletes from improving on their season-best performances but a few top numbers resulted from last week’s meets at Orangefield and Sour Lake. Most interesting item could be Little Cypress-Mauriceville senior Dinah Tippins (handing the baton to Jordyn Chargois in this adjacent photo). Tippins was timed at 24.70, improving her area lead in that event. She placed sixth in the state meet at the same event last year in a time of 24.60. Dinah’s Orangefield time outlasted teammate Brianca Barclay by nearly a full second. Why do we list this comparison? Two reasons. First, our LC-M sprinter has two months to work on the possibility of lowering that time if she’s able to return again to state. Second, and more importantly, track and field – when practiced properly – is HARD work. This sport lacks the team glamour of football, basketball and baseball. It generally attracts very little spectator or media interest. If people jump up and down about it, those people usually jump up and down after the athlete’s accomplishment. LC-M’s girls have captured the team title in each meet they have entered this spring. That speaks to the work of coach Becca Peveto and the work habits that already have been in place. But hard work must continue. The margins in track success usually are extremely tiny. 10. Everyone is being assumed guilty and must prove otherwise. Real American values.
  11. He’s got them back pumping heck out of that $96 oil.
  12. Today
  13. You still didn't answer the question.. or any of the other questions that prove the same exact point.
  14. I read that majority of voucher applicants already go to private schools. It’s one grift after another
  15. Whatever you think — I think 100% the opposite! Your opinion, my opinion. Thank you for your attention to this matter!

  17. Someone asked her “what does Dr Weiss think about your position on vouchers?” She said “we haven’t talked about it.” I found that hard to believe, and if true, I think I’d ask the Superintendent just to get his opinion. It seems like a perspective I’d want to hear, especially if I had a direct line of communication with him.
  18. I really had a hard time with her doing that. Caused me to vote against her and she is my neighbor and goes to our church. Friends with my wife. I thought that was very telling like you have stated.
  19. Yeah 358,500 Average does seem a bit high

  22. Didn't the great Cornel Thompson say something along the lines of "You can't win the kentucky derby with mules" ?
  23. I've asked you this before and you have never given an explanation.. Why are there so many coaches that have won multiple state championships and then never got close again? How many players did SS have that went on to play major D1 football? How many did Phil D. have? Is coaching responsible for that? How many super bowls did Bill Belichick win without Tom Brady? How many state championships did Tom Westerberg win without Kyler Murray? How many NBA championships did Phil Jackson win without MJ or Kobe in the lineup? You're pro "coaching matters".. and I agree, it does. But you will never convince me that coaching matters more than the players on the team. Never. And I know that it could never be proven, but I'd bet that several coaches could reach your definition of elite if they'd had the right players.
  24. I spoke with family member (mom) of a candidate for Texas House Rep in ‘24. This was during early voting, and they were really, really hoping for a Trump endorsement. They’d reached out and been given the price, but just didn’t have the campaign funds to make it happen. Their opponent got the Trump endorsement during early voting and won the race, unseating an incumbent. Did the challenger pay the $400k? I don’t know. But I BELIEVE that Trump’s people asked the incumbent for that sum, based on my conversation with the incumbent’s family member. They also confirmed the story about the Rep receiving a handwritten letter from Gregg Abbott advising that if he, (incumbent, whose wife is a school teacher) voted against giving handouts to rich people who send their kids to private schools, aka “school choice,” they’d make sure that he wasn’t re-elected. Hence the well-funded challenger who could afford Trump’s endorsement. Fun fact… the challenger (now state Rep) that supported stripping money from public schools to subsidize wealthy kids going to private schools? She’s was the president of her local school board at the time, voting against the interest of the school of which she was the board trustee. You’ve got to do what you’ve got to do if you want to make it to the top, I guess.
