  5. HH lost a tremendous amount of enrollment in a short period. They have not recovered.
  6. PN-G Fans (Or others from out of area coming to the game)- Most of the restaurants are west of downtown--and the stadium--since the stadium is only a couple hundred yards from the bayfront. I usually recommend people coming early in the day if they can and make an afternoon & evening of it. That way you avoid the traffic on 10 (even 73 was getting bad before we retired) 146, and the Fred Hartmann Bridge. Come early and spend a few hours at the San Jacinto Monument and help support it. (Remember, La Porte is where Texas won Independence from Mexico.) It, and the Monument Inn listed below are only about 15-20 minutes from the stadium, and make for a great few hour trip. The museum is really fun if you enjoy history as a proud Texan. San Jacinto Battlefield Monument | Discover San Jacinto After that, eat at The Monument Inn. If a southern seafood fan, it's hard to beat. Eat a late lunch there, then you'll be ready for the game with plenty of time to park, etc. You can always get another snack at the game and help us pay for that sucker! lol [Hidden Content] Other places to eat that we recommend besides all the normal chain fast food places: Southern Komfort Kitchen - Rustic Steakhouse & Bar | La Porte, TX | Southern Komfort Kitchen Redesign El Ranchero Mexican Restaurant: (Tommy Taco Dinner is excellent. Get them 'all the way'.) - Mexican Food, Breakfast Tacos, Homemade Tortillas in La Porte, TX King's BBQ (Excellent stuffed Spud) Kings BBQ Chili's Chili's Grill & Bar There's also a Walk-On's Sports Bar & Bistreaux if that's your preference. La Porte Locations | Walk-On's Sports Bistreaux 568 There are other good places that I haven't mentioned. These are just a few. Of course, there's always the normal Whataburger, Popeye's, McD's, Burger King, Wingstop. Denny's, Hartz Chicken, DQ, Kentucky Fired Chicken, Waffle House, Subway, Taco Bell, etc.

  10. Also wanted to put this here in the district thread, straight off DCTF: Picks: Positive number = Points Favored; Negative Number = Points Opponent is Favored; PK = Push; NP = No Pick. Also again I've seen computer projections different than the point spread on team pages. Seen some folks on different sites confused by it.
  11. DCTF has Memorial a 1pt favorite. Also wanted to put this here and in the district thread, straight off DCTF: Picks: Positive number = Points Favored; Negative Number = Points Opponent is Favored; PK = Push; NP = No Pick. Also again I've seen computer projections different than the point spread on team pages. Seen some folks on different sites confused by it.
  12. Hardin by whatever they want. Hate to say that with tons of family on the Deweyville team but with the clips I seen on from the Cushing game, Deweyville may have a long year ahead of them.
  13. West Sabine - 50 Hemphill - 6
  14. Cross town rivalry games are always up in the air and make me nervous. That being said OF takes the trophy back home. OF by 9.
  15. It doesn't fit their narrative Hippy. The libs on this board are staying far away from this discussion. Just like the lying MSM, in their minds, it is better to remain silent. Saying otherwise is not toeing the company line.
  16. I think this is going to be a good game but I have to go with Woodville by 7. 21-14
  17. Window dress the run with WRs split out wide, TEs, motion, etc. There's so much that can be done to disguise the run. But nothing will happen unless people start voicing their displeasure. The superintendent, the school board, and the board of trustees who made this hire all need to hear from players, parents, and supporters.

  20. Look at La Porte, Nederland, PNG, South Oak Cliff — Teams who, in recent years mostly run the ball. I’d guess it’s 3/4 plus are run plays for PNG the last two years. You don’t have to go full Mike Leach. Just call plays that match the situation on the field, not some pre-existing stubborn commitment to “we do [blank] no matter what.”
  21. Look, I don’t care if you call the Wing T, Slot T, or Mr. T! Just find some creativity and balance. BALANCE and creativity! The QB lead blocking in this offense has just about disappeared. The QB is the plus one in the running lane or gap. Without it, this O is useless. This O should’ve been phased out when the cut blocking was banned 5/6 years ago. And it’s not just the O, there’s so much that’s bad. It’s all three sides of the ball. Vidor just isn’t serious about winning football or at least looking the part of being competitive! HF played a circus of a game last week, they’ll be more in tune Friday and it won’t be pretty!
  22. He slit her throat......I worked for an ambulance company from 14 years old (washing ambulances) to a EMT -SS until I was 23 years old. I basically grew up accustom to death and blood. That video gave me chills. She literally made eye contact with her killer and had time to think before she finally passed in her own pool of blood. There are very few things I can think of worse than that. Why this is not on every news station on repeat is beyond my realm of thinking. That woman more than likely was not a Trump supporter, likely a Democrat, yet Trump supporters are rallying for her more than Democrats. Blows my mind......
  23. Maxwell’s trial was in 2021……under Biden’s watch. Why didn’t the Biden administration plea deal for info on Trump? After all, he’s the only guilty one. Lmfao. Trump is being tried in internet court by a bunch of haters. If they were Trump, they would be crying like little babies. Only so-called conservatives get their info from TNR….LMAO This is a Google search: The New Republic (TNR) is a U.S. journal of liberal opinion and has a history of progressive and liberal politics, though its specific stances on various issues have shifted over time. The publication's branding and identity have been relaunched with a focus on emphasizing incisiveness, progressiveness, and authority within the liberal discourse, as noted by Pentagram, the design firm. Historical Stance:Historically, The New Republic was concerned with the changes brought about by middle-class reform efforts and the nation's evolving economy and society. Modern Identity:In recent years, the publication has undergone a brand identity and design overhaul to reinforce its qualities of incisiveness and progressiveness, according to Pentagram. Context of Liberalism:While it is known for its liberal stance, the magazine's specific positions on "liberal hot-button issues" can vary, and it has faced periods where its direction was less consistently progressive. Other Perspectives:Some sources characterize it as a source of "liberal opinion" and even "neoliberal" commentary
  24. Playbook??... You mean sheet of paper lol Vidor needs a change... ASAP. If not, the football program will not survive much longer. Kids, parents, and supporters are tired of the same old stuff year after year. Sure, with a new coach, Vidor will take its bumps and bruises, but look at what's going on with the current coach/s. Excitement needs to be brought in to rejuvenate the program.
  25. No idea. It seems that numbers are falling overall in Hemphill. (population, etc.) They did drop from 3A to 2A in last realignment.
