  1. Past hour
  2. Y’all must not have watched those 2 last night king didn’t even record an out. It was 3-3 when he came in and 8-3 when they took him out. Ort wasn’t much better If y’all think those 2 are quality pitchers in the major league, y’all must be drinking some crazy stuff. A 4.00 era is not what I would call good A 2 or less yes, bud a 4 no
  3. Pond water was never so weak.
  4. The judges don’t act unless there is a cause for action. The cause is a lawsuit of one kind or another. Skill shortage, man, I’m telling you. Take a debate course.
  5. They reported the Pope had died. So, yes, they are legit!
  6. He’s ignoring one branch and issuing executive orders that should be addressed by the other one. If that’s not a power grab, I don’t know what is. He’s not a dictator. He’s a wannabe.
  7. Breitbart is not a legitimate news source.
  8. Correct with the sarcasm. King and Ort has been doing very well.
  9. Core Inflation Falls To Lowest Rate In Four Years! Prices barely climbed in April, pulling the annual rate of inflation down toward the Federal Reserve’s two percent target, even while personal income climbed at a rapid rate. The personal consumption price index climbed 0.1 percent in April, the second month in a row in which consumers got relief from inflation that had plagued the economy throughout the Biden administration. In March, the index showed prices were flat. Impressive don’t you think?! [Hidden Content]
  10. Today
  11. It's a VERY worthy cause for a horribly debilitating disease. It took my Father in law 2 years ago after about 5 years of pain and suffering for the whole family. I said that to say this: It's a $3 billion initial cost from the Texas General Revenue Fund, PLUS $300 million in annual grants for the next 10 years or so unless it gets renewed. It also competes with priorities like education (has anyone heard of the new voucher handout, btw), and infrastructure. Mostly it is taking OUR tax dollars - a lot of them - to handle what is already being handled by the private sector. Texas is already home to world-class research institutions and medical centers, funded through private investment, universities, nonprofits and the like. But God love 'em - politicians including so-called "fiscal conservatives" can't help but stick their noses and OUR money where it doesn't belong. No matter how worthy the cause is, I'm not in favor of this bill. Let the research happen without government overreach.
  12. Lmao. Of course you don’t like Mr. Wonderful. Everyone who tells the truth is a liar to you. So easy.
  13. From the article: “The permitting process for infrastructure projects of all kinds has become, essentially, a never-ending gauntlet that few projects can survive. There are several reasons for this, one of which is the expansive reading that activists and courts have given the National Environmental Policy Act. NEPA requires permitting agencies to analyze environmental impacts before proceeding with projects. That is a feel-good principle that, in practice, has often brought progress to a screeching halt. For many years, liberals have used environmental legislation not to safeguard the environment, but to block progress in general. The Court is finally on to them.” [Hidden Content]
  14. On fire with 177,000 jobs? Real indicator is GDP. It decreased .03 (shrank) in the first quarter. Let’s check back next week after second quarter figures come out. As for inflation and tariffs, he hasn’t implemented any yet significant enough to cause disruption. It’s just been political theater, at which he is a master. All hat.
  15. He’s a brutal liar.
  16. SCOTUS Rules for Trump Administration to Allow Revocation of TPS, Allowing Mass Deportations! [Hidden Content]
  17. This is where liberals want to lie and get on TV telling folks those repubs want to take away your food stamps. No, no we don't. We want to ensure others aren't defrauding the system. We want to stop the woman that is paying for groceries with food stamps then in a second purchase buy ribeyes, bottles of wine and cases of beer with a roll of money in their Louis Vuitton purse. She will have a $200 hairdo and $150 worth of nails done. Roll it all outside and unload it into a $75K vehicle. She does not need food stamps. It is pulling money away from those that need the assistance.
  18. Yep. Astros should release King and Ort. Both only have a sub 4 ERA and not the top guys in the pen. Quite sure there are capable relievers walking the streets or mowing em down in AAA the team is overlooking. Stay positive Uncle Spidey!
  19. Any predictions on which regional host school(s) do not make it a super regional? Going with Southern Miss and UCLA to not make it. Would love to see HCU win at least 1 game in California uh uh Austin.
  20. My Mother passed from that disease, but lived with it for over 10 years, and my Father took care of her to the very end. As Eagle11 said, it is horrible to watch and really claims 2 lives if married.
  21. Thank you OlDawg. I think this is way overdue. My mom has dementia and it is horrible to watch. I like the cap on the infrastructure spending at 5%. Let the money get to where it needs to be, not in CEO's and politicians bank accounts.
  22. Full disclosure: My better half has given me permission to sign up as a policy advocate and use her story to speak and meet with others and legislators/policy makers about the need for research. So, I may occasionally make postings related to these issues. I’ll keep them brief when I post.
  23. Game 2 last night Brookeland 3 Fayetteville 2 Tied 1-1 Game 3 tonight 7 pm Huntsville
  24. This is just one example of waste, fraud and abuse...... THIS is what republicans want to eliminate......
  25. This is why government programs fail……fraud [Hidden Content]
  26. I think Jones is better than one or two posters think. PA's biggest concern is defensive line. They are loaded at LB and in the secondary. Oline is intact so there's cautious optimism in Titan land......
  27. A measure will come before voters on the November ballot to create a research fund and institute for Parkinson’s, Altzheimers, Dementia & related nuerodegenerative diseases. The administrative costs have been capped at 5% by the approved legislation. So, 95% will go to research funding. The amount set aside right now is $3 Billion over 10 years. Please read the attached link from the Michael J. Fox Foundation & remember, consider, and pass along this information to your friends, co-workers and families. Thanks in advance. [Hidden Content]
