Why? Johnson had the advantage of the Herschel Walker trade and instantly built a SB team. He was a great coach, but Switzer coached that team to a SB win. Jones was right with that prediction, wasn’t he? After Dallas, Johnson went to Miami and became Joe average. Just being honest in my evaluation. Actual fans think their team will win. If not, why watch, or even play the game? You’ll watch this week hoping for a loss so you can tell me “I told you so”. Teams don’t need fans like you.

The run game has been pretty decent against lesser teams, but struggled against quality lines. I think they’ll get it going to some degree, and your score prediction sounds about right.

Depends on Nederland’s injury situation. If their skill guys are back I think it’s a shootout. If not, it’s gonna be a long night. Based on recent results I expect Nederland to give up a lot of points.

A few other interesting points about these preseason rankings: Atascocita could be pretty special this season. They are playing in several national tourneys and one day events. They will be battle tested come district time. Some say this is the year for Baytown Sterling to replace Barbers Hill in the playoffs. If that happens, then United would go DII and that could provide an opportunity for both Beaumont schools to make it to San Antonio. Will be interesting to see. Looks like Orangefield and East Chambers will again battle for district supremacy. If Kountze fails to make playoffs and Anahuac does, that would send East Chambers to DII. My money is still on Kountze getting in the post season. San Augustine could make some noise in the region. They have a new coach as well. Big Sandy is back in the rankings after a "un Big Sandy" type season last year. Brookeland again head and shoulders above the local 1A's but the district that 28-1A faces in the 1st round is loaded. 27-1A has #10 Wells, #11 Kennard and #12 Groveton Centerville along with an always tough Broaddus team. Getting close to that time of year. Looking forward to another great basketball season.

Jerry has 3 SB rings. How many other owners can say that. Jerry takes a dump and money comes out. Why would he need more money. His team is worth $13 billion. They had a bad game. It happens. I say they beat Washington by a TD. How did they almost beat the Eagles? They could have easily won that game but Lamb decided to drop 3 passes for huge gains. It happens. When they beat Washington, you won’t be on here basking in the victory, you will be harping on the “could have been better”. It’s very hard to win in the NFL. Take no one lightly. I’m not glad they lost. You are. I’m glad so you could give us an update on why.

You’re glad they did bad. So I take it your not a Cowboy fan I always want them to win but unfortunately they have a horrendous defense. Probably the worst secondary in the NFL and LB’ers are also probably the worst in the NFL and the DL can’t put any pressure on the QB and obviously can’t stop the run It’s very hard to win when you can’t play defense Jones doesn’t care about winning, all he cares about is making money

I think Huntsville wins by more than 5, but this is an interesting test of where their defense is. They didn’t play great defense against PNG and they played bad defense against Montgomery. Montgomery had their linebackers guessing wrong all night. I don’t think Dayton’s offense is as powerful as Montgomery’s, but we’ll see if Huntsville has trouble with them. Dayton will score. Dayton’s defense is terrible and I don’t think they’ll stop Huntsville. Huntsville gets going early and takes out some frustrations: Huntsville 48-28.
