I hate this happened but it would have not had newar the publicity if she was not Gordan Baxter's daughter.

About 13 years ago I met someone who lived on village creek. My first canoe trip I was sold. The last 13 years I have been canoeing, boating and exploring village creek. Gordan wrote a couple books about village creek and built a house on it. It's still there and someone has since purchased and added on. It's right on the water. Gordan also flew and wrote a few books about that. He was a very interesting man.

I think that articles he wrote about flying were called Bax Seat… or something to that effect.

One of his son’s sons was (and still is, to a degree) a good friend of mine.  That family has been through a lot in the last several years.  Several of the siblings have died, but I guess that happens when it’s a big family and you get old

I actually worked with him as a kid at KLVI. My mom collaborated with him quite a bit at several radio stations throughout her career. I knew his daughter in passing, but that's been years and years ago.

One of my favorite Baxter moments was when he took a caller one morning and asked her if she had a broken fridge or freezer on her porch. She said, well yes I do. Then he asked if she had a old broken down car or truck out in her yard. She said yes we do. Gordon promptly said, "I bet you are from Vidor". The lady said yes, how did you know? The rest is history.

That's freaking hilarious! ...And par for the course for Bax.

    • You have a choice between two guys in November that neither of us can change or could have changed. You can continue to whine and moan, not vote, vote for biden, I couldn't care less what you do. Those of us that choose to face reality simply deal with it. You just keep your fingers crossed hoping biden will win in November so you can get on here and be the star of the political forum (in your mind) by telling us all I told you so, even though you had as much to do with this situation as any of us. And yes, I can claim he was a good President, because he was, and I and others have made long lists of the reasons why, which you cannot refute. You have a good day wallowing in your perpetual misery.
    • There is undeniable irony and hypocrisy in the fact that Trump has the unwavering support of conservative republicans across the country who've pushed legislation that makes it much more difficult to access her on pornhub.
    • All sports lose money... period.. Yes football brings more revenue but still loses money with all its costs...  Football does not "fund" other sports..  It is funded by budget.. which is paid by state and local taxes.  I have seen many games this year where less than 200 parents show up to the games. Do you think these schools got rid all other sports cause their football team did not gain enough revenue at football games??... come on..  I would agree football is bigger in Texas.. no doubt... All I'm saying is other sports should not suffer cause of football Offseason... I know coaches think that 10 extra practices in April/May will determine if they are successful in November.. I just don't think its worth destroying another sport to do it.. especially with all the summer to practice...
