Exact record

Football - Silsbee has beaten WO-S 3 times

Basketball - WO-S has beaten Silsbee 3 times.

You need to pic that mic up.

Now if you want to talk about "way below .500 record" we can certainly do that and you will not like it.

We've certainly beat silsbee more than 3 times in history in basketball

WOS beat Silsbee twice a few years ago like 2013/14. One in district and one in district playoff by like 2. Also, I know WOS beat Silsbee in 12/13 last game of season going into the playoffs and I know they beat Silsbee in like 2000 or 01 in the playoffs at Westbrook.

WOS all ime basketball record vs Silsbee I would guess would be like 6-45.

That would have been embarrassing. I saw that too!

With all due respect, I don't think it would've been embarrassing this year.  Orangefield has a Sr laden team that is much better than usual, and I'm not sure WOS is as good as some of their past teams.  WOS only beat Evadale by 3 points, and Evadale's whole team, except for one Sub, had just come off the football field six days prior to the game.  Actually, I thought Orangefield would win, and had it not been for some alleged dubious foul calls, by a poster who's basketball knowledge I'd match against anyone's on the Forum, Orangefield would have probably won.

I don't think much of WOS ball these days and from what I remember of Orangefield when. I lived out here it wasn't good.

Yes I believe Orangefield should have won. Good for their improvement but that just shows how far the Mustangs have fallen. For the poster to insinuate WOS would give Silsbee a better game than LCM is ludicrous.

Easy fellas. I ate my crow last night. It was at Twin Peaks and washed down with beer but it was crow nonetheless, I swear!

All seriousness good show. The question is can you beat LCM on Friday. If you don't do that we won't remember how close you played Silsbee.

    • but will he be doing contact football drills mid-season?
    • That was an awesome video!  I feel so proud of these young men.  They proved the doubters wrong.  Bellville should be proud, too.  I know it didn't end like they had hoped, but we've been there, so we can definitely empathize with them.  Great season, Brahmas!
    • Meh.. Everyone knows this. The kid that got injured wasn't lifting weights. Supposedly he was hit with a helmet in his elbow. In my opinion the kid shouldn't have been put in that situation. AD should've told the Varsity baseball players to sit that one out. I have no issues with the lifting or conditioning. However, anytime helmets/pads are on there is a higher risk of injury. This AD showed a total lack of respect for HIS baseball program.
    • Maybe.. however..  Many athletic director / head football coach have lost their job despite the athletic program as a whole being successful.. if the football team struggles.  On the other hand, when football teams are doing great but the rest of the program stinks.. AD/HFC still keeps their job. WOS.  Newton. .. programs as a whole were fairly weak during those many years of football power and very few people even knew it.  Or cared. Yet, AD/HFC kept their jobs for years. Meanwhile, I remember an AD/HFC at Barbers Hill lost his job after every program in the school won district championships and even had several team sports (baseball, softball, girls hoops, etc.) making runs at state.  But the football team was mediocre.  Fired. I'm not saying you're wrong, just that perception is reality.  And the perception is that your athletic program can suck as long as football wins.. it doesn't matter how strong the athletic program is if football sucks.
