PA Memorial Open

Dove, you should consider retiring from your current position and taking over the Memorial job.  You could teach real basketball.

aint no aau going on in my hometown school during bball season. Besides he should look at leading HF to that state title he said they were going to win.

Nash, I would have problems beating HJ, I hear their new coach is good and won't take free stuff.

Buddy, heard HF has a new basketball coach (again).  And AAU would be the first requirement to play on my high school team. No AAU experience, you sit on the bench with your daddy.

  • 2 weeks later...

didn't you say few weeks ago on this board that a DFW coach was going over to Central when that job was opened?

I think I'll wait for the chips to fall flat.

Yes he was the front runner at the time, and I knew all about it.  I also knew WHY he withdrew his name from the candidacy too...didn't mention it because it was a personnel matter. THIS job however I am CERTAIN...it's a DONE DEAL...take it or leave it. AND NO INTERVIEWS ARE NEEDED.

you knew about the new hire? Sure took awhile to say it was a done deal.

If Memorial makes the hire I'm hearing they will...Memorial will be the best program in the area for a long time.

Well they made the right hire in their eyes, and I hope he leads them to more than just being the best program in the area for a long time. :)

From what I've been told no one has been hired at this point, secondly if this hire is true good thing for Anthony is that the job will come back open again in the next couple years anyway.

It's a done deal...  Ya boy didn't get the job...  And you were wrong.  Now you want to wiggle out of it by saying he will get the job in the next couple of years....  Lmbo!  I swear, you keep me laughing at your antics, man...

    • It's common knowledge that this sort of thing happens on ranches.  I'd be willing to bet more people than not in this forum have had to do it.  That said, she's an absolute moron for putting it in a book, period.  The act of killing the dog can be justified, but publicizing it is inexcusable for someone in her position.  I honestly have no clue what she was thinking.
    • There are times when certain things are appropriate, and when they are not.  We can agree to disagree on the appropriateness of star baseball players doing contact football drills in the days leading up the baseball playoffs.
    • are you suggesting that if the football coach runs spring drills then the kids won't play fall ball without supervision?  Because if not, this argument has no relevance.  One doesn't take the place of the other.  one the AD has control of, the other he just tries to.
    • I don't think it is overly hyped.. I am seeing less and less multi-sport kids when it can all be prevented.. A coach teaches l loyalty, work ethic, comradery, integrity, perseverance, etc.. to get kids to buy into their program. They talk about brotherhood and doing what is best for their community.... But some mean all of this  just for football... Kids see into this double standard and will quit.. either while on the field or off...  drives me crazy!!  and again... I work with these kids.. they tell me what they think.. so you can agree or disagree.. its their point of view!!
