What you're thinking? 22-5a

Recommended Posts

If we take all of the emotion out of our homer picks and just look at Returning Lettermen and Starters, this is how 22-5A would play out this year.  I'm not saying this is what will happen, but this is what the 'numbers' tell us.  I'd say the teams in the bottom 4 need to be putting in some extra work.  Numbers are from DCTF so take them for what they are worth.

                                       Lettermen

                                       Returning   Starters Returning
Goose Creek Memorial     18            7/5

Beaumont Central             17            6/6

Port Neches Groves          18            6/5

Beaumont Ozen                 20           5/3

Baytown Lee                      15           5/6

Nederland                          15           4/5

Lumberton                         15           3/5

Vidor                                  14           3/4

We'll take that under advisement in Nederland... but the only numbers that win games are the ones on the scoreboard, and they nobody gets points for returning starters. Nederland is rolling with about 6-7 sophomores starting or logging significant playing time, but they are there for a reason.

That causes a steep learning curve, but the upside is having those kids for 3 years on varsity.

1. Nederland - This will come down to MCM I feel.. Edge goes to Nederland for coaching and incumbency
2. PNG - Might be able to reclaim the DC from Ned if they take MCM
3. Central - Will split with the MC teams and beat Ozen
4. Ozen - Will also split with the MC teams but lose to Central
5. Goose Creek - Kind of a wild card but better than the rest of the field
6. Lumberton - Might surprise some people this year with 3-4 wins
7. Vidor - Don't have good reason to expect a resurgence yet; Maybe 2-3 wins
8. Baytown - Bottom of the barrel..

Hmmm...............

    • No chance in hell that this pos is found guilty.
    • After his silly conviction, President Trump has raised over 200 Million dollars!  The people are seeing through it!  Excellent!
    • Let’s see if joe biden’s words about no one is above the law, made after the rigged trial of President Trump, rings true with his po💩son.  Hopefully, but I’m not going to hold my breath, they put the sorry sob in prison.
    • I liked his no bull crap attitude. He was a man of very few words. Extremely strong and freaky athletic!!! As close as possible to being the best offensive lineman to ever play the game. I hope his family finds peace without him!!! RIP #73
    • Chester, a small town in NE Tyler County.  A town that is seeing growth with the addition of a national chain store and a new school being built.  If you travel 287 toward Dallas from the Golden Triangle you have probably passed through Chester.  Things tend to stay pretty consistent and it is your typical small town.   A trip to state is the buzz around town, and the talk before church services begin on Sunday.  This year’s graduating class will number 11.  We don’t have a radio station that covers the Yellowjackets.  We are never a lead story on any of the news stations that broadcast to our community. With all that said, there is a closeness and sense of pride in our community.  Every community rallies behind their kids as they progress into the playoffs.  We are proud of our boys as they have represented our community well and with class. We invite you to follow our boys as they go to state.  We welcome the greater SETX communities as honorary Yellowjackets.  Tune in, watch live or come to Round Rock personally and join us in supporting the Chester Yellowjackets.  Go ‘Jackets!!! ⚾️💜💛⚾️🟣🟡⚾️💜💛⚾️
