You are completely wrong. Todd Sutherland never, ever was an assigner for the local chapter nor has he had any kind of position of that nature with the local chapter. Also, Sutherland no longer officiates. This info comes straight from the source and other officials in the chapter.

Also, coaches from both teams has to agree to the officiating crew for that game. This is done before the season is started. Crews are not assigned. Coaches select the crews and are agreed upon. Been this way for many years.

You are very much mistaken on Todd Sutherland and the officiating process.

I find that many people like to interject opinions not based on fact nor do they take the time to even do a little research into that opinion. There is a shortage of referees and rather than help to solve a problem they besmirch the problem and even attack the character of a person who they don't even know. I know Todd and Russ Sutherland and they are not the type of people to try to get an advantage by cheating and I for one am angry for the attack on their characters.  Thank you for their defense and the process for selection of referees. Rather than complain I would hope that person would work to be a part of the solution instead of being a large part of the problem.

That sucks! Im sure most of the other coaches they interviewed have already taken other jobs! I wonder what they are going to do.

Take what is left over or get a young coach (that will be looking to move up) or have one of the coaches already there do it.

Just heard there are new voting procedures for the upcoming elections.  This new, modern, safer, more secure system might cause some of you young folks some problems.  It’s called a paper ballot.  You’ll have to use a pen or pencil to fill it out.  No more old, cumbersome, outdated voting machines.  Since I’ve always, for 55 years voted on paper, I’m a pro, so feel free to ask me for advice if you feel intimidated.
    😂😂😂🤣🤣👽🤣🤣😂😂😂

    What's a pen?  🤔

I get texts about wanting to purchase my property. I always say $9,000,000 and you can have it. It’s awhile before I get another one.

Yeah, I get emails and text about the same thing. But, you are right if they give me $9 mil.  I might have to give in. It sounds about right.

Well from what I remember about the U.S. Constitution, the President cannot enter into any treaties as such without the approval of the Senate. So Joe may want and profit from this but unless our Senate sells us out too (which could be a possibility) then the agreement is null and void.   Jus sayin

The United States Constitution provides that the president "shall have Power, by and with the Advice and Consent of the Senate, to make Treaties, provided two-thirds of the Senators present concur" (Article II, section 2). Treaties are binding agreements between nations and become part of international law.

Actually met up with some people from Buna yesterday and asked about the situation. They showed me some Facebook post from parents and talked about fans always yelling at him during the game. Don’t think it was small town politics that ran him out.  But if admin didn’t remove those fans during the game, I doubt they did anything to try to keep him. The fact that school board members are posting about the job on here, maybe there were some politics going on that they didn’t know about. Girls basketball coach went to orangefield and now boys basketball is leaving. Both were successful and both wanted to stay there for their entire coaching career. Both leaving raises questions and concerns for the program.
Good luck to the coach going forward.

This story is sad and all too common these days. The people from small communities that understand what coaching requires are becoming rare.  The Karens and the Kens (parents of "athletes") are running off good people.  I guess they get what they deserve.

I really don’t know the details

But I had a discussion with him during the season and now hearing this i connected the dots.

and saying that…..he never mentioned leaving Buna.

Wait what?!  Boys Basketball  coach leaving Buna too?  😲

That organization just uses the self inflicted demise of their own to profit.

The record of communism has never been a good one anyway.  Violence is used to institute all form of socialism and the record of Stalin and Mao are worse than Hitler's.  Why through the study of history would anyone think communism, socialism, and fascism would be better than capitalism and a republican form of governance is beyond me. The human world will never be perfect and utopia does not exist.

careful what you say here.  sutherland (in tarkington) will still convince about 3 families from beaumont to move to tarkington !!!

lets not pretend all the talent thats came thru EC in the past 20 years has been home grown winnie boys.

i'm not knocking it for a second. sutherland is the greatest recruiter / coach in the history of east chambers and will continue to win until he retires

but lets stop dreaming.  tarkington will never be EC and will never be able to lure in a coach with credentials like RS.

I would say that money talks.  :)

@TigerAlumni85 I saw it coming the more he started to win.  Craziest environment I have seen in sports in a while.  When he lost it seemed like parents were happy, but the more he won the madder people got.  The main reason is Bethea was hired after the principal who is a hometown girl, and she is the superintendent's friend.  People from there have told me that she wants to try and hire her brother to take over who is certified in the same subject area as Bethea.

Bethea took a 6-win 4th place team to a district championship and 15 wins.  However, he was told she wanted to go in a different direction with no reason or justification.  Politics in a small town can suck for sure.  I am glad I retired before I got into this profession, so this salary pays for my vacations.  Bethea will land on his feet but sucks for him because he did a good job with those young men.

What a crazy world we live in.

There's a scenario that's being bantered around that could "legally" put Donald Trump in as President sometime in 2023.  Here's how it goes:  Again, let me start out by saying that this is all Constitutional.  Ok, the Republicans would have to take over the House and Senate in 2022.  Which, as it appears now, is very likely.  There is no doubt on my mind that on day one the House will start impeachment hearings against Joebama.  But, with the scenario concerning Trump, the House will add Harris to the impeachment situation.  Impeach and removal will be the goal.  Now, this is where Trump comes in.  How many people realize that one DOES NOT have to be a member of Congress to be Speaker?  So, with that being said, they would name Trump Speaker.  Once The President and VP is removed, then Trump becomes President sometime in 2023!  Again -- all legal and Constitutional.

Now, the question is, how bad does it have to get before something like this becomes reality?

    It's pretty bad right now so . . . 🤔

  13. Ya'll may debate who is going to vote and who isn't but the bottom line is if the conservative people in Texas don't get off their butts and vote this election and every election following, losing Texas to the clown world out there isn't that far fetched.  But hey if there has to be a conservative revolution Texas is a good place to start it.
