One common denominator for all this is...I can finish it - Superintendent. 
He's ran off some great teachers by the choices he's made in hiring on campus leadership, I think the same could be said about coaching as well.

I agree he is my favorite too. So are the two coaches from WO-S.

Same athletes. Didn't excell in new system. New system didn't fit. Mistakes were made on the sidelines. Learning process by both. Expect dominance to return. Someday?

Should ask more questions before getting on here running your mouth about things you now admit to not knowing. I assure you, talent alone has not built the program we had over here for so long. But it does help when the continuation of said talent keeps rolling thru.

This was probably true.  But, I'm sure we have different reasons on why this was.  Why was WOS the only Orange county school that this was happening?  Could it have been because during those times they the "right" coach cultivating those athletes to make them the best talent on the field.  And maybe the other Orange county school's coaches weren't able to?  We saw a "dramatic" drop off in performance when Cornel left.  Also, we saw an improvement at LCM when they got a new coach.  Didn't we?!

No genius. Off topic now but I can assure you WOS didn't out talent every team for the past 30 years...

It’s apparent that you need to get out more if BC is the best place on Earth to raise kids 🤦🏼‍♂️ and people that live in Vidor, OF, LCM, even WOS etc will object to BC being the best place in OC 

Let's see:  There was anxiety, foaming at the mouth and down right hyperventilating when the PNG coach left.  The chant was: how could they get rid of this excellent coach?!  Then, all of a sudden -- it got quite.  Even to the point of saying -- Faircloth who?  Lumberton was wallowing around in mediocrity until this past year.   WOS has for many, many years been known for their football.  But what happened this year?
On the first two, did the athletes just start showing up when these new coaches did?  How about at WOS, did the WOS-type athletes just stop showing up when the new coach did?  NO!!  It's just more examples what the right, or wrong, coach can do.  
What does this have to do with Vidor:  It's a template of what to do and what not to do.  But -- are they paying attention?!

Thought this is about Matthews leaving? Not the previous 24 years.

Think I saw a Lowes commercial letting criminals know that the tools won't work if stolen.

Historic program only had about 5 applicants. It was never posted on any coaching sites. No recommendations were taken from the search committee. They had the guy already in place before CT even talked about retirement.
Also, our sports for this school year has a combined record of... 9-52. That's a .148 winning % overall.

WOS Drummer 99 is correct with his above statement. That’s isn’t acceptable at a place like WOS. That record and percentage is only gonna get worse after you put in the baseball and softball records. 
 
best of luck to Vidor on the coach search. Congrats to Coach Mathews on a long and good ride at Vidor. 

This was a text book example on how NOT to do things.  PNG had it right. Now, if only Vidor will pay attention!  

Hopefully by the employees that were terminated for failing to comply.
