BrenhamFan, it's coming believe me, I'm looking forward to our conversation about 20-4A....

This Kirbyville team is nothing like the last few, so you basically have Ozen (a playoff contender possibly in 4A) beating up on one of the smallest 3A schools in the state.... They will improve and get better, and Ozen is going to be a little better than most expect....

Boy RAW tonight will be interesting.... CM Punk wins the belt by a bad call by Triple H, then Nash comes out of the stands to clobber Punk, who in turn loses the belt to Del Rio after he cashes in the MITB briefcase... Uh.... WTH happened????????????

Well, the blog I read stated that it was mainly the fact that the SEC offered them last year, they didn't come then and now they don't want to put their reputation as a conference on the line by breaking up another conference.... I would hate to see all of the Texas schools split up in different conferences.... Can you imagine the mess it would make if the Big XII breaks up?

When was the last time someone got as much heat as CM Punk is right now? He is probably my favorite "character" in WWE right now, and somehow this story has turned him from the biggest heel in the company to probably the fan favorite.... I'm finally truly interested in a story on TV...

Saw Menard and Dishon last season, they will make plenty of noise this year....

Over the last few months I've become disturbed about how many men, wait.... males.... get pedicures...

I'm somewhat of a newbie still to SETX football, but I truly enjoyed my trips to The Butch as well as Lamar... Smaller schools, I loved the atmosphere at Kirbyville every week we were there last year...

There was a post on an LSU blog that I read this past weekend that led me to believe the SEC may not be interested in Texas A&M as much as they might like to think.... I do agree we are in the last days of the Big XII....

If Ervine is gone to Nac, it will help the Dragons, that kid is a playmaker... Jacko to Central? I have not read that yet, I'll see if I can find out...

Is there reason for concern with the extreme heat? Sure.... But these coaches are well versed in what to do and how far they should push these kids.... Heat doesn't stop when you walk off the practice field either... I went to a NASCAR race in July, and saw three different people pass out from the heat.... I've seen people in grocery store parking lots, malls, etc, that pass out from the heat.... Hot or not, you still have to go on with things.... Coaches will look after these kids.... No worries Granny!!!!

Great for him, but it's sad for the coaching business that they don't have a quality guy like that coaching kids.... I was blessed to have great Christian men as coaches, and know many more... No bigger mission field than local high schools...

Vidor at times looked like they were turning the corner didn't they? I thought against Kirbyville they did a lot of things well, they just made too many mistakes... They have a scrappy group of backs, and while I don't know if they can contend for a playoff spot, you have to at least think they are a mystery heading into the season.... Right?

Newspaper article claims Lamar offered and he told them too late.... I think Kirbyville will have a good season this year, but don't know if they have a deep run in them or not.... They have been in this boat before as someone mentioned earlier (big time players leaving) and have surprised people....  Coach Neece will have them ready, and I definitely expect them in the postseason making noise...

The ONLY acceptable reason would be if those guys knew each other or if there was some kind of history... It's not like he is the first guy to act like an idiot after crushing a bomb... Sosa, Ortiz, Ramirez, etc.....

Johnny, I agree with you that most of the teams may not be ready... But there are more than 3 or 4 who should be up... But they wouldn't dominate A ball like they have at times in B ball... IMO...

As a coach of a 10U team that has seen many of the teams who are registered for the 'B' State Tournament, I have wondered why some of those teams are content at that level and not playing in the 'A' Tournament.... Lots of those teams listed as 'B' should not be.... Sounds like they may be ducking out? :)
