1. If Central plays as well as they did at times against West Brook, they will roll in this one.... As for the Central/Vidor/Nederland talk.... It's WAY TOO EARLY to talk about all that.... 20-4A is never a district you can decide this early.... I am not completely sold on Vidor yet.... Texas High is down this year (again) and the game on Saturday night was set up perfectly for the Pirates.... Bad weather which is perfect for the run game, and an injury to Menard.... Central is getting things cranked up, and Mitchell looked much better at QB against the Bruins.... I'm curious to see if they continue to use Garrison Mitchell on both sides of the ball more often.... He made a few nice catches on Friday night.... I love the two-headed monster in the backfield of Carter and Collier, who have potential to be dangerous.... That offensive line will just get better and that will help.... Defensively, that defensive line was outstanding at times on Friday.... Those three guys were getting after it....
2. If you have anyone you know that has any control over a radio station in the Beaumont area, please contact us because we would definitely love to put the FBTET OT Scoreboard Show on the radio as well as our BISD Game of the Week!
3. We're going to be going on LIVE tonight at 6:30 instead of 6:40.... Looking forward to Round 2 of the Beaumont Bowl.... Join us for all the action and feel free to post your comments and/or questions for us to answer in the booth!!!
4. Obviously we know that SA is much improved from a year ago, but there is lots of talk up here in East Texas that Alto may be better than they were last season.... If there is a silver lining this week though, it's that Coach Hubbard usually played Alto pretty dang close while he was previously in East Texas.... Looking forward to this one, hope the Wolves can snag the win!!!

6. While there aren't a lot of (if any) people giving Central a chance, I think this game will be a little closer than what it was last year.... Central definitely has the cards stacked against them with all of their losses from 2010, but they still have Mitchell, who with adequate O-Line play can be dangerous.... I don't think anyone expects Central to shut down Holmes or Singleton, but you just have to keep them from beating you by themselves.... Looking forward to calling this game tonight, I think it will be a fun one!
7. Up in East Texas a mild upset tonight, a shocking score at least, Redwater beat West Rusk 40-2!
8. I'll take Huntington to get things started out right in 2011!

10. I'll go with Orangefield.... Two teams on the fringe in most people's minds.... Bobcats will win this one....
11.
You got Memorial over North Shore?  hmmmmm...  I don't know, man.
As Mike said, it would be an upset.....
12.
Which of bottom tier teams in 20 4A  (Ozen, Vidor, LCM) will have the biggest upset and against who?
Easy.... Ozen.... Don't know who....
13. And for the record, don't put a lot of stock into a scrimmage, no matter who it was against... I'm not a believer in basing a team's talent off of a scrimmage... It's pre-season and you don't show it all!!!
14. We all agreed with Lovelady/West Sabine at the top, Hull-Daisetta in third and West Hardin capable of knocking someone off and getting in the postseason!
15. SA going to be quick on that turf!!!! I think the Wolves get off to the 1-0 start!!!!
16. Tell me what districts you are interested in and I'll fill you in!
17. Looking forward to broadcasting this one Friday night at The Butch!!!! Both teams have great QB play, and I'm ready to watch them go at it!!!!
18.
I was a part of one of the Kirbyville "doormat" teams!  Not one of my high points. ;)
Ha, over a 20 year stretch Rusk missed the playoffs twice... Both years were my junior and senior seasons!!!!
19.
Guys, San Augustine won state in 2003.
Thanks Gasilla, knew it was somewhere around there.....
