There was a little hype about the Central team, and honestly there should have been before the season and there still should be.... This team definitely has its flaws, but I challenge anyone to show me more than a handful of teams who have been perfect in the first three weeks.... Central is going to be just fine when 20-4A starts, don't be surprised if they wind up at the top...

There is a reason they play the games!!!!

Personally, I just find it confusing.... How in the world do you keep up with when the games are supposed to start? lol....

Even with Ozen getting all their players back and fully healthy, they'll be rusty coming out on the field for the first time.... Should be a fun battle of the quarterbacks with Mitchell and Green.... This is the kind of game Ozen needs to win if they want to be considered a true contender for a playoff spot.... Central needs to win this game to get a jump start on a playoff spot.... Lots on the line in this one, not to mention bragging rights.....

SFA, my guess is that Katy used the off-week to prepare for district, I doubt that they would put two weeks into a game plan against West Brook....

When I was in school (graduated in 2001) we always wore girdles under shorts.....  Now, Monday-Wednesday was a full blown padded practice and Thursday was a walk-through.... But I do agree with you that back in the day they used a lot more contact....

Anytime you play a team like Katy it has the potential to be explosive... Katy has the ability to go out and hang 50 plus on almost anyone they play... The question is, can you do enough defensively to slow it down long enough to stay in the game.... You have to win each possession.... On offense, you can't turn the ball over and you have to at least move the football enough to keep their offense on the sidelines.... Haack can't hurt you if the defense is on the field, right?

82- I thought that Marcus Gray and a couple of other guys in that secondary played well enough on Friday to give them a little confidence going into Saturday night.... Obviously Haack is a better QB than the kid from Eisenhower, but I'm not sure that Katy will be any more athletic.... Eisenhower had some athletes on the field.... Katy has a great football team, no doubt, but I think West Brook has the capability of doing some things to make Katy adjust....

82- I agree, way too many stalled drives last night.... And I know what you mean by wanting someone to put the offense on their shoulders, and I agree that no one has done that yet.... I was happy to see Stump sit in the pocket a little longer last night, although it was easy because that offensive line did a great job all night long.... There were probably a handful (if not less) of times that Stump really had to make a decision about what to do....  Good job all around, but there were probably 2 or 3 scores left on the field, I agree....

Knew San Augustine would bounce back after a tough loss to Alto last week.... San Augustine has a little swagger about them, second shutout in the first three weeks.... Glad the Ol' Ball Coach got him another win tonight!!! I'll be there for the Joaquin game next Friday night!!!

I disagree that Eisenhower was terrible.... Where they a Port Arthur Memorial, or even Central? No.... but I was really impressed Jacolby Watson and Donald Catalon on the ground.... Watson has a rocket arm, but not accurate enough.... I thought the defense was outstanding in the first half and complacent in the second half.... They got a little intensity back in the OT.... Stump once again had a phenomenal game, very accurate, and if it weren't for the last series in regulation, his stats would even look better.... I was happy that Jalen Malone and Percy Johnson were big parts of the offense tonight.... Central took both of them out of the game last week.... 82, you want someone to step up and be the go to guy on offense? I'll say that #8 may already be the leader of that unit.... He needs Percy and Jalen and the rest of those receivers to help him, but he gets it done... If I'm not mistaken, West Brook has not had a turnover, and that's how you get to 3-0....

People were really high on Woodville coming into this season, and they all jumped off the bandwagon after Week 0.... There is no way this one ends up 52-6.... I'll take Orangefield in a 3 point game....
