RedJollyRoger got a reaction from TxHoops in Bridge City (0) @ West Orange-Stark (47) - FINAL
Ouch! Deweyville might not have the talent or the numbers to make that a game but I guarantee you the Mighty Mustangs would be out coached! 🤣

I enjoyed the 3rd and long bounce pass hitting RB in full stride, called a backwards pass. Geez

I'm like this: if the kid and his/her family don't want to be there then no hard feelings they can leave, I'd sign off quickly. 🤷🏾♂️

BC is way closer to WOS than LCM is time-wise lol.

This could've been a 30+ blowout. Silsbee giving up 60 yds. in laundry defensively in 3rd down situations and 21pts in turnovers. Silsbee has the talent, hope they can sharpen up and make run.

RedJollyRoger reacted to 2wedge in Will Anahuac lose a district game ?
Anahuac is much better than anyone is giving them credit for. They hung tight for three quarters with a Newton team who has a win over WOS this season, and handily beat the #9 team in the state, New Waverly, a couple of weeks ago. I expect them to roll through this district and by November, they will have garnered some attention state wide. Playoffs are always a crap shoot so we will see how that goes, but this is the beginning of the ascension for the Panthers. They have a Freshman QB, who may very well be the best QB in that district, and several sophomore skill players who are playing like seasoned vets. If you are a Panther fan, expect many deep runs and potential AT&T visits in the next 4 years.

I miss the post game interviews from coach t lol.. the new coach is just like " yeah that was a really good team we played just missed on some opportunities"... coach t would or been like. I wasn't happy with the way we played they better figure it out or I'll find some one who will.. and that's a speech after a 3 touchdown win lol... don't wanna hear the one after a loss haha

RedJollyRoger reacted to Hagar in WOS vs LCM, Thursday Sept 1
I can’t believe TexanLive is not broadcasting this one. Good grief, two ranked schools. One a perennial powerhouse. Good grief! This is ridiculous. Did I say, good grief? No? Well good grief then.

I'm familiar with small school ball, and i'm really not trying to get in a big debate over this. The point I'm making, which I'm sure you understand, is that out of those 25 kids in the program there are going to be handful of kids who have no business on the field against opposing varsity-level opponents. Having a JV for a few weeks at least gets them a little game experience, because in another year they may grow/improve enough to where they can actually contribute on a varsity level, OR due to injuries/grades they may be forced onto the field this year. If that happens, I'd rather them have played 3 jv games than watched 7 varsity games.

At this level, studs are a rarity...5'5" and 130 are some of the studs.

RedJollyRoger reacted to Hagar in Huffman at Silsbee Predictions
Huffman managed a 1 point victory over a Legacy School for the physically impaired so if this is not an easy victory for the Tigers I’ll be surprised (again). Legacy was soundly defeated by Splendora last year and they were terrible. The score might be close to the Vidor debacle. Depending on when the Tiger Coaches call off the dogs, I’d think minimum 21 points, and maximum whatever Silsbee wants it to be. Year of the Tiger!
