  1. Defensive coordinator for PNG coaches defense. If coordinator is sub-par, so is defense. Faircloth literally has nothing to do with coaching the defense, other than hiring the coordinator. His blame is in the hiring on defense, not the coaching. Reverse the situation with our prior coach, Matt Burnett, he was a great defensive coach, but our offense became predictable & ineffective. I'll take winning & playoff appearances over just trying to compete for a district championship, anytime!
  2. Says a lot for Coach Faircloth that he has winning programs year in & year out regardless of the quantity of athletes, across the board. PNG has great participation among the student body going out for football, the desire & effort of the individual athlete is as important as the overall quality of the athlete. Great coaches make for Great Teams! PNG is truly blessed to have Coach Faircloth. I do know that their are some PNG fans that want him replaced. Those fans are entitled to their opinions, as I am entitled to mine.
  3. Been there, Done That! Do what the doctor says. Get better!!!
  4. Of course we are smart. We went to Port Neches-Groves High School! Therefore, smart is a given.😃👍
  5. Primary Factor: If PNG can run against the Titans, PNG wins Secondary Factor: Memorial will have speed factor advantage, keeps them in every game. Indian Defensive line must stop Memorial run, contain QB & force passing attempts, if not PAM wins. Great Teams lead to Great Games. This game is going to be fun to watch. I am so ready for some high school football!!!
  6. 2nd Corinthians 5:8 We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord. God bring you peace in her passing. For she rests in the arms of the Lord.
  7. I have been a loyal PNG fan for 55 years. Our boys will find a way to be in the mix at playoff time. I am praying for all the boys, on all the teams, that they stay safe during this weird and wacky football season.🙏😁👍
  8. God give your family peace & comfort. The Lord is your guide & strength.
  9. Great opponents during pre-season is always preferred to easy pushover games. Memorial is strong, fast & skilled. I believe that this is a great game to have on the schedule for Bost & our offense. Hope for all the kids, on both teams play solid, stay uninjured and learn from a great matchup to build both teams through the season.
  10. Take care to follow the rules, so we are all able to support & sustain all the students who are participating in all events this year. God bless those kids in their endeavors throughout this school year.👍
  11. The high school athletes playing is the most important thing. They must find a way to have a season, even if it is delayed. Even if there are no fans allowed. No doubt I would be disappointed in not seeing high school football this year. I have only missed 4 total PNG football games in 55 years. I could survive not seeing the games, but the players need the opportunity to showcase their talents. Praying God will overcome this virus, quickly!
  12. God Bless & bring comfort to his loved ones!
  13. It is time to end this thread. I will not have people attacking me personally, nor will I respond to uneducated claims directed at me, because I can support my point of view, instead of belittling those who have an opposing view. This is my last response to this volatile thread. God bless all of you including SmashMouth.
  14. Oh cool, a multiple level question: 1) First, to clarify, The Stars & Bars, which is the original Confederate Flag is not the Battle Flag of Northern Virginia, which is the flag we associate with the Confederacy now. (Please read your history carefully.) I do not believe we need to honor the flag that is accepted as the Confederate Flag, now. 2) I see no "tribes" suffering from the traditions of PNG. If the mascot name offends, I welcome visitors from every tribal nation to come & study & observe how we keep our traditions. 3) I have no control, currently as to how, or why people are promoted. i am aware of selective preference in the past, & I am sure it still occurs. I appreciate the work efforts of anyone who places their job performance as a priority. 4) Once again, please check your history, African American people, (or as you call them "black") already have the vote & may exercise that right within the law. 5) Equal pay will always depend on performance, not whether, or not you are a man, or woman. Once again injustice occurs, however, I assure you I am one of only 3 men in an office with 10 other women. These ladies are professional, hard working & well-paid for their performance. 6) Yes, I do agree with the term Scalp 'em. it was the last act of the Plains area Native Americans over their enemies (Be that enemy native, hispanic, or white.) It symbolizes the PNG victory over our nemesis, or opponent in the terms of our Spirit & Tradition. 7) I in no way consider the term "Indian" racist unless it is being used to degrade a culture. At PNG we honor that culture & are proud to do so! 😎 According to my DNA profile, I am 40% German, 23% French, 17% polish, 10% East African & 10% Black Foot Lakota (Native American) Please feel free to ask more questions, if you are confused. Thank you for the survey. I am going home from work now. Good Day!
  15. As you may not have remembered, please see my previous posts above
  16. In response see previous posts above. In case you failed to read them. Peace!
  17. Purple & White War Paint for battle, or at least competition, my Mustang friend!!!🙂
  18. With you 100% on having a football season this year. Not so much on PNG losing. Sorry! Peace!
  19. No Red Face, Only War Paint. Please get your facts straight, my friend.
  20. Have no idea how the Confederate flag got into a discussion about honoring the native american peoples traditions with our mascot. Please do not direct your anger at me. Nor cast any aspersions in my direction. Also, do not deflect attention away from the focus of my argument with your implied "racist" statements toward me. Your hatred & judgementalism speaks of your character. By the way, I will take that bet! I have a cross in my front yard with the word "HOPE" on it. I will include you in my prayers & am sorry this topic has made you so upset that you feel it necessary to attack me personally. God Bless! May you find peace.
  21. God Bless America!!! Hurray!!! Love that freedom of opinion. send those letters, express those beliefs, and after those senders are done with all of their correspondence, please remember that, in a free country, others have the rights to their beliefs too. God bless all those tribes that have the right to freedoms & beliefs, in this country. After all, disagreement on any subject, including mascot names, is part of the American Spirit. Gotta' love it!!!
  22. Once again the Proclamation was made to the INDIANS of Port Neches-Groves. The other tribes, be it Apache, Atakapa, Utes, Karankawa...are entitled to send proclamations as they see fit. Also, they may choose to not use the word Indians to describe themselves, or their tribes. It does not diminish, in any way, the validity of the proclamation we received. Once again, my friends, if you were not raised in the atmosphere & spirit, you will never understand, but I do respect your opinion.
  23. The Cherokee honor all previous historical proclamations made by their Head Chief. It would be an insult to their ancestors to reverse that proclamation & an insult to that Chief to address it further. The Cherokee Nation & our Student Body, that's who it is really about, regardless of my "old school" beliefs. Honor, Pride & Tradition does not, in any way, need to accept change. In fact, it should most assuredly, be the spirit which carries all PNG faithful into the future. I value your opinion, that change is necessary. I have nothing but respect for WO-S Mustangs & their legacy. I speak speak my truth, that, in this instance, change is not necessary. God Bless!
  24. The liberals want our country to get a new Constitution each year for their so-called "politically correct society." I think the Constitution we have now works just fine. So does the letter from The Cherokee Nation it works just fine.
  25. A challenge to our representation & honoring of our mascot is a direct challenge to the Cherokee nation that made us their representatives. Oh, by the way, the official people of the Cherokee Nation live on a "Reservation", not by their own choice, but they honor their land, people, pride & traditions. Just as the PNG Nation does the same. If you have not been raised within this all encompassing atmosphere & heart that is PNG, there is no way I can express it to you, other than for you to know, that my respect for both the Cherokee Nation, that honored our school, and the students of PNG who carry on that respect for the future generations to come, fills me with a spirit that brings me peace. Change may come, if forced upon us by the government. PNG will always hold onto to the knowledge that we have done everything to uphold our assignment as Ambassadors of Goodwill. Oh, by the way "40" years ago is not so long. I was in high school when that presentation was made. Please do not trash our letter. I hope this explains how I feel, as much as I can explain it personally. Once again, unless you are raised as we were, there is no way for you to grasp the significance of our traditions. May God Bless All of The Schools, Teams & Mascots as we go into this trying time & a new school year. May we work together to see that the children are well educated, good citizens & proud of their schools, communities & traditions.
