I pray the new Head Coach is treated with respect & given the opportunity to prove himself in the position. I have supported this program for all my 57 years, and will continue to be a PNG Indian, as long as I live!!! I am so glad we went out & got a coach to build on a winning tradition. After all the most important thing is that : WE ARE THE PNG INDIANS!!!

I pray it is so!!!🙏

If PNG goes out & gets an out-of-area coach with experience in a winning program that wants to develop PNG to keep a winning tradition, I agree, 4th place. If however, a local yokel is hired, that may have friends in high places in the district, & believes that only repeatedly making the playoffs has been the coaches fault, they know "exactly what PNG has been doing wrong & only I can fix it." then 5th or 6th in district would not surprise me. A completely new program, under a completely new coach can go either way. It will be much better if a coach with absolutely no knowledge of PNG, other than they have a winning tradition, like the school that the applying coach has been working, & allow that coach to come in with a clear perspective & develop the program. We'll see!

Faircloth Mentality, or Administration Pressure ?: Oh, let's see. I take a 5th place district picked team to the 3rd round of the playoffs & I have 17 of my 22 starters back next year. I know, I'll leave the school just because I want to coach somewhere else. Perhaps an unsuccessful Sulpher Springs program would be better. That way I can uproot my children from their friends & from PNG Athletics. (That is a big pile of you know what.) There were other problems within that administrative system affecting his decision to leave. Especially when the team wanted, and needed him to return for another season. I am upset for the program, the players & the coaching jobs that will be lost as a result of this move.

I am quite sure there were administrative issues that will never be revealed, knowing our school board, that made Faircloth want to go get another head coaching/AD position & get out of Port Neches.

Some idiots, in this district, screwed up. I enjoy going to the playoffs every year. Don't make blanket accusations about football fans. Now we must go out of the area again, if we want to win!!!

I am hoping & praying, literally, that we go outside the area for a new head coach. NOT Beaumont, not Port Arthur, not even Port Neches Groves. We need a coach who's only knowledge of PNG is that they have winning tradition going, and that coach should desire to do everything in his power to keep that tradition alive. Home town boys may be friends with administration, or school board, but there is no place for that in hiring a head football coach. (Anyone remember the Tim Owen years at PNG. (He was well liked, a great guy, a great assistant, but not a great head coach.) Bring in the outsider that wants to prove himself in this new competitive district!!!🏈

[Hidden Content] Now time for that "Oh So Wise" school board to bring in a home town boy so we can win maybe 2, or 3 games next year. NOT!!!!!!! PNG must go out of the area & get a solid big school winning coach.

I remember on the PNG side at that game we had a sign that said "FOR NOISE WE HAVE FANS, NOT CANS!"

All-Time since 1965 I have missed a total of 10 PNG Indians football games. 5 of those due to Covid restrictions last year. As I have said before, some fans are committed to band performances at halftime, then they leave. Some fans are committed to support a winning season, but are nowhere to be found when a team is struggling. Some fans are committed to leaving a game early to beat the traffic. Some fans are committed to come to every game, support the team, win or lose, rain or shine, cold or hot!!! It is how I was raised & I will continue to go as I am financially & physically able to go! This season I did not miss a PNG football game! (Now on to basketball!)

Per athletic office at Northwestern, in the state of Louisiana, stadiums have the right to enforce face mask rules at all games. Everyone needs to make sure to bring a mask in case we are required to wear one. Also reminder the Christmas Festival is going on near stadium. LEAVE EARLY!!!

And don't forget that PN-G Fans greatly appreciate the Nederland team losing that game, just for us! LOL😆

Recently, 4500-6000 fans for away games. farther we go into the playoffs, the bigger the crowds get.

General Rule: Avoid The App & Attend The Game if you can drive there, or if are not committed to another game! Lots of Gas Needed, but no App Needed!!!😉

Whoever executes their offense the best wins this one. Turnovers will kill any team. In this game they are doubly bad. This is another potential score fest game if PNG Offense can protect the QB. Praying for no injuries on either team, and, of course, no rain!!!

Remember the Natchitoches, LA Christmas Festival is going on through January. There will be an extra 50,000 to 60,000 people in town. Leave early & expect traffic. I bet PNG will still have more fans than Texas High at this game. LOVE THOSE INDIANS!!! PNG HAS A SPECIAL SPIRIT, PASS IT ON!!!🏈

Turnovers will decide this game. PNG must not throw interceptions & protect the football, at all times. Montgomery will make you pay if you turnover the ball to them. That said, the team that protects the ball will win. This should be an exciting game. I am looking forward to some real cold football weather.🏈
