Barbers Hill (40) @ Manvel (35) - FINAL
bullets13 replied to jdawg03's topic in High School Football
I know he's good, but I can't imagine it looks good on the resume that he's transferred to 4 different schools in 4 years. Then again, I can't imagine hiring a coach to a 5th team in 5 years, unless his son was good enough to start at 4 teams in 4 years, soooš -

Spot on. This game gave me what I really didn't want to have this year... hope. Because I'm pretty sure I know how it'll all end... -

@AggiesAreWe hope this doesnāt count⦠IF youād told me the biggest deciding factor in this game would be CeeDee Lamb having cinder blocks for hands, I wouldāve never believed it. The cowboys have played a really good game. Dak has been very good, the running game was decent, and the defense was excellent after halftime. I assumed weād lose, but not because Lamb would drop 4 crucial passes, with the first 3 being ones he absolutely shouldāve caught. -

Iāve never claimed to like Dak, but heās been fantastic in the first half. Defense is a dumpster fire, but the offense has been really good. Best Dak has looked in a couple of years, and itās actually against a good team! -
It would be hard to ābe a place where kids want to beā, especially when it comes to athletics, if the best players are able to pimp themselves out to the highest bidders. And make no mistake, thatās exactly what would start happening.

HJ appears to be greatly improved over the last couple of years. I think this will be a decent game. Still think EC takes it in the end.

Thatās why I phrased it as a question. I know he ran well, was just curious if the passing stats were correct. That said, the stats are pretty complete looking on there for the game.

Maxpreps has him at 4 of 9 for 46 yds in the first game?

I was planning on going to this one but due to an exceptional weather forecast we moved our deer lease work weekend up a week to take advantage.

Last year this game was a wild one at Hitchcock. Hitchcock jumped out to a big lead early, HF fought all the way back, and then Hitchcock put it away late with a couple of defensive touchdowns in the last few minutes. The two teams combine for 16 touchdowns. Both teams have new quarterbacks, and both teams looked good in their week 1 matchups. HF graduated some key players, and Hitchcock graduated a LOT of key players, including Aggie commit Kelshaun Johnson. From an article I found Hitchcock graduated 18 players from last yearās team who earned 1st or 2nd team all district. Iām curious to see how this one turns out! Should be a good test for the horns. Who ya got?

I love Sark, and heās obviously turned Texas around, but his play calling since heās been there leaves me scratching my head at times

Hamshire-Fannett (37) @ Little Cypress-Mauriceville (13) FINAL

If the box score is correct, Broussard was 15/21 for 162 yds and 2 scores through the air, and had 12 carries for another 168. Thatās a heck of a debut. -
Feel pretty comfortable saying that was PI in the end zone since both my longhorn-hating college buddies said it first in our group message
-
Iām a realist. Two career starts and the weight of the college football world on his shoulders, itās not surprising that heās struggled. All I did was state his stats from last year. Go find the posts where I say that heās gonna win the heisman or lead them to a national championship, or where I said itās not fair he has to play against a good team.
-
He completely 68% of his passes for 9 TD and 2 INTs last year in the playing time he got. I think heāll be fine, but this is a heck of an atmosphere to come into with all of the pressure and expectations.

Had a feeling arch might struggle today

I just quoted and asked the same thing before I scrolled down and saw this comment

Better than ā83 daingerfield? Not trying to debate, I know nothing about the Yates team you speak of. edit: never mind, saw someone else say the same and your answer further in the thread
