She has great taste, she know's who is the best. (besides, she is sweet on me ;D) I have noticed that she uses our site even since Chad started his. Just wonder if she even knows about his site.
2.

Silsbee is down too, currently sitting at 600.
From 853 down to 600 in one year? Wow!
Ooops, my bad. I meant 500.
3. Jasper's school enrollment is 814, town population is 7,000, not 20,000. ::) Silsbee's enrollment is 843 with a town population of 6500. You would be surprised just how small these towns really are in a number sense.
4. Silsbee is down too, currently sitting at 600.
5. TABC state polls have been updated at the top of the forum. Locals in the polls this week of Jan. 17: 4A  #20 Nederland 3A  #3 Cleveland       #7 Silsbee       #11 Hardin-Jefferson 2A  #18 Kountze 1A DI  #23 West Sabine 1A DII  #19 Spurger           #20 Leggett
6.
What does Stark have this year? They usually put a good team on the floor.
Athletes and a new coach. They are playing much better basketball of late from when I saw them play a few games early in the season. They will give Silsbee all they want.
7. Two SETXsports.com Dirty Dozen teams will square off in a 21-3A district battle as the #10 WOS Mustangs will travel up to Silsbee to take on the #7 state ranked, #1 SETX Tigers at the Tigers Den TONIGHT at 7:30pm. The Mustangs (11-11, 1-0) winners of 6 straight, got a district opening win over cross county rival Bridge City, 94-30. Silsbee (20-2, 1-0) defeated their arch rivals Hardin-Jefferson to open up district, getting a 64-56 win over the Hawks. The Tigers currently have a 9 game win streak. Silsbee swept WOS in district last year and also defeated the Mustangs in the quarterfinal round of the playoffs. Broadcast time will begin 10 minutes prior to tip off which is scheduled for 7:30pm (could be as late as 8pm). Check the thread for the correct start time. Click link provided to listen to another 21-3A battle! WOS vs. SILSBEE, LIVE here at SETXsports.com!!! [Hidden Content]
8. In a sticky topic at the top of the forum. Silsbee and Kountze still remain #1 in each poll.
9.
How do they play? They have a star player or anything?
I have seen both teams play. If Burkeville would get their big man to post up down low, Goodrich has nobody to stop him. But, if he wants to stand out around the three point line and jack up 3's like he did against Silsbee, Goodrich has a chance. Goodrich tries to score off transition, not much in the half court.
10. You beat me to the punch there, nash. ;D I would say "almost" and "not too far off" is all the same.
11. I got LaMarque by 5 in this one.
12. Folks are saying BCG would not come to Lamar because of SLC. But if the WAC is in the cards(no pun intended ;D) for LU, I can see Lamar getting this type coach to run the basketball program for at least a minimum of 5-6 years. The success of the football team (the dollars that it can generate) would help in getting a coach like BCG.

16.
Aggie it doesn't matter where my donations goes. Neither you nor Tigervoice would want to get into a pissing match with me. Trust me dude. I did stand up for 4yrs in college. I live for pissng matches.I stream has always been long range baby!
What does you doing stand up have to do with comparing one another's giving back to society? That's the pissing contest that I am speasking of. You are right, it doesn't matter except the one that should be coming to me, but it is not a donation, it's one paying off a debt. ;)
17. Santa, trust me, you do not want to get in a pissing contest with tigersvoice when it comes to giving back to the community or school. ;) FYI, tigersvoice was the Public Address announcer at the HJ/Silsbee game Friday night. He is the PA for all of Silsbee's home games. BTW, why would you ever mention of giving silently to SISD? It's never the point of giving to be acknowledged. (next time you feel like giving, give silently $1000 to the Sanchez Scholarship, I'll make sure everyone will know without you having to toot your own horn) ;)
18.
I dont think an up tempo game is your strength.  You dont have the guards for it.  I agree with bball, your best opportunity is the size factor.  The fresh has to learn to get his bigs involved as opposed to looking like aau.  He is good player for a fresh but the game changers are down low and he needs them if he is going to effective at all this year.  Also, the exchange kid needs to learn to use the size and take advantage of the mismatch he creates as opposed to standing outside.
BINGO!!!!! This is exactly what I have observed in the few HF games that I have seen this year. They have the size but the overall guard play is not good. Teams that pressure these guys will have great success.
19. This is a top 25 ranking of all classifications combined in Region III. Silsbee the only local in at #18. Tigers also the only 3A team in the top 25, the rest all 5A and 4A teams. [Hidden Content]
20. Not hiring a basketball coach doesn't help for starters. Kirbyville had a good coach last year, but he left after one year, is not at Willis. They did not hire a replacement but instead asked for one of the football assistants to volunteer to coach the basketball team. Was told at first nobody wanted it and it almost came to a point where someone was going to be appointed (made ;)) to coach the team. Finally, Coach Vanya stepped up and took the team. Until they change the way of thinking over there and hire a real basketball coach, that program will suffer even more.
21.
Can't wait for round two!
I can. We got a tough one coming up with WOS on Tuesday, cannot afford to look past them. The Mustangs are playing some very good basketball of late. They will require all of Silsbee's attention come Tuesday night.
22. @ tu, I'll have to take the horns by 7. When the game is at Reed Arena, I'll take the Aggies by 5.
23. Just another breakdown of the game: HJ starters scored 51 points Silsbee starters scored 47 points HJ bench scored 5 points Silsbee bench scored 17 points Only 6 players scored for HJ All 11 players (Rhone did not suit out) scored for Silsbee IMO, Silsbee has the best player (Stallworth), but the starting 5 for each team is fairly equal. Silsbee's bench is their strength over HJ.
24.
He is fine, and he has chosen another career path.
Yes, I understand that he is in the real estate business. But, ABSENT, to say he "chose" another career path is not entirely accurate. ;)
