TABC District Picks 2025-26
AggiesAreWe replied to AggiesAreWe's topic in High School Boys Basketball
I agree. It sometimes gets political with the all-district picks. I also know that these TABC district predictions is not always 100% coach decided in some of these districts. -
Need a Jasper peep to confirm. Word on the street is several players quit. Is this true?

What Week 10 game(s) will you be attending?

Made my decision for Friday night. Lufkin at Beaumont United pregame meal at Pappadeaux's (Crawfish Trio with a dozen Blue Point raw oysters for appetizer) -
TABC District Picks 2025-26

It's funny though. Some are okay with these district predictions by the coaches, but then get upset with these same coaches when all-district selections come out. LOL -

I'll post my coverage area district picks tomorrow. -
But those Titan fans still are burning it up over PN-G being ranked ahead of them. 😁

Only ones that have any kind of chance would be Lumberton and Vidor. Don't expect either to go up.

**NEED 2025-26 SCHEDULES**/Post here please
AggiesAreWe replied to AggiesAreWe's topic in High School Boys Basketball
Made another pass this morning. Picked up a few more. Updated on the above thread. Down to needing 21. -
Forgot about Huntsville. My bad. Yes this would be for 4th. 21 point cap is a total points cap differential in a singular game. Some districts have 15, 18 and 21. It's in place so that teams cannot "run up" the score to improve their playoff chances.

I agree about the opt up. It should only be for schools with major travel issues. (i.e. El Paso, etc.) Not for schools that are are only traveling 60 or less miles. BC, HJ and Liberty all opted up for competition reasons. Not travel. You'll never convince me otherwise. I can see BC opting up because they are actually very close to DI numbers anyway. HJ and Liberty are not even close. Also, I am not all that hip on all the other sports going to divisions but if that is how it's going to be, then have divisional districts like football and not decide the divisions after district play. That actually allows a larger school to get in D2 depending on who makes playoffs. If they do go with divisional districts this next realignment for all sports (I am hearing they won't) then schools that opt up for football should have to play all the rest of their sports in that football district. You shouldn't be able to pick and choose what sport you want to opt up in and not.

Goes to positive points. I believe this district point cap is 21. Based on the one result (LC beat Dayton, 50-26) we already have, these are the current point totals for those three teams: Lake Creek +21 West Fork 0 Dayton -21 With 2 more results to be determined, those point totals will change. Let's say Dayton beats WF by 17, then they will finish with a point total of -4. WF would current be at -17. Then let's say WF beats LC by 7. Then WF would finish at -10 and LC would finish at +14. So with those results, LC would be #3 seed, Dayton #4 seed and WF out. But, I do not know if this is one of those districts that only uses positive points just to break three way then go head to head with remaining two teams. If that was the case, the seeds would still be the same with the example scenario that I posted. Of course, those two games yet to be played could change the point totals quite a bit from my example. Only thing for sure we know is the current point totals for Dayton and Lake Creek.
