Did it last year because of lack of numbers and it's why they chose to play TCAL starting this season.

I'm not going to be surprised if SP does the same. At least HI is playing even though it's TCAL as far as district goes. They are playing some UIL schools in non district.

Taking 2 of 3 on the road from a very good Philly team is impressive. Good quality start for Javier. 6 IP, 1 R, 3 H, 5 K, 1 BB Sousa, Abreu and Hader combine for a perfect final 3 innings (no batter reached base) with 4 K's. The three combined threw 32 pitches total and 26 of them were strikes. Pretty efficient. Hader now 25 for 25 in saves.

For the most part, the coaches and players have no experience with 6 man. Also, the community wasn't interested in it. 11 man is all they knew. I was told that when they first turned in 1A numbers a few years ago, they chose not to play 6 man because they thought H-D would only have 1A numbers for two years then go right back to 2A DII. Didn't want to have to change things up drastically just for two seasons. This could be the wake up call that the community needs to bite the bullet and make the change in the next realignment if they can see that enrollment will not go up.
