Not to me or any other rational person that uses a little common sense.
Many times the folks that lump all cops in with the very few bad ones have an unfavorable view towards cops to begin with.
We are told to not lump all Muslims, Christians (fill in the blank) in with a few bad ones but this seems to be ok with cops.

I just want to take a minute and say how proud I am to be apart of the Lumberton community. I don't if y'all heard about the house fire in Lumberton this past week at about2 in the morning. Well our varsity football boys met at the house at 8 this morning to clean up the debris and everything and within 30 minutes they had filled a huge dumpster with debris and furnishings and worked themselves out things to do! Love my Raiders!

Maybe it's time to form "sanctuary cities" that are free from police.
Folks that think police are a major problem can choose to go live in these police-free societies and police them themselves.
Problem solved for all.
Oh, don't expect any support from surrounding non police-free areas when it doesn't work out.

a perfect example of how videos that show officers "doing something wrong" often don't show important factors that lead to officers reacting the way they do.

As well they should cut out 1 man police patrols.. You should always have some one with you. In my opinion that is.

No.....all this cop killing mess. I have a hard time believing police will not change it's policies to deal with this problem. One department is eliminating all 1 man police patrols.

Look at how many countries and Democrats all knew he had WMD (he did) ...even Clinton while he was POTUS said he had WMDs.

Cheney was forced to sell his Halliburton holdings when he became VP.
Years later, the Democrats starting using his profits from the sale of stock to berate Cheney by having insider knowledge to sell his stock when they were the ones pressing him to sell due to conflict of interest.
This is the hidden content, please Sign In or Sign Up From the article:
He took the money and ran. Cheney made millions when he sold his Halliburton stock in the summer of 2000. The stock then was worth over $50 per share. It is now about $13. As the Los Angeles Times puts it: "Cheney seems to share one defining characteristic of ex-CEOs whose actions are now under intense scrutiny: He became a millionaire many times over by cashing in his stock options before problems came to light and ordinary shareholders began losing their shirts."
But wait. Cheney did not sell his stock because he had inside knowledge that the stock market — and his company's shares — were headed south. He was forcedto sell his stock when he was chosen by George Bush to be his running mate.
He wasn't dumping. He didn't want to sell. In fact, the big brouhaha at the time was Cheney's wanting to retainsome of his stock options. He sold purely to avoid conflicts of interest. Not from any foreknowledge. Certainly not from any guilty knowledge.
Geez...Do some research.

Some idiots with BLM are going around chanting "pigs in a blanket fry like bacon".....that is not good PR for that group. Take that along with all the cop killings lately, BLM may end up known as a hate group. While the new fad is to hate cops, the majority of America respects them. If you pick a fight with the police, you are going to loose.
PS.....Although I don't think it had merit based on numbers, I know what BLM stood for and I had no problem with it. If that would unite people in a positive way, I was all for it. Unfortunately it is having the opposite effect.

All lives matter. It is sad that the media divides this country like it does and we all can't realize that no matter who/where/what/why/and how someone was raised and the ethnicity that they are overrides the fact that people are dying in very unfortunate situations because of either ignorance on the part of someone else or the ignorance of their own actions. My opinion doesn't mean much of anything but here it is anyways... The world will become a better place when individuals hold themselves accountable for their actions and stop placing blame on their situation, upbringing, race, political affiliation, gang affiliation, job title, etc. As a culture, Americans are becoming finger pointers and name callers and it is just ridiculous. Police officers are not always in the right but they do make this world a much better place and if they are provoked or if they happen to cross paths with someone that is either breaking the law or they have suspicion of that person for breaking the law, and they have just been to a horrible crime scene, dealt with domestic or child abuse, or many other scenarios, they are probably not going to be in the best state of mind to argue with or resisted. I am not making an excuse for an officer who commits crime themselves, but just the everyday, average officer goes through and sees things that the majority of the population would need meds or therapy after being involved in. Like I stated, my opinion does not mean anything to most and I am perfectly fine with that, I just don't want my children growing up in the society that I fear will become a reality in the coming years. Mutual respect and the ability to bite your tongue and just wait out a given situation until you are able to present your side of that situation will go a long way.

What do we expect to happen when we murder babies in the womb and sell their body parts to the highest bidder? This man who did the shooting had no respect for human life because our society permits the view of life being disposable. When a society loses respect for human life, it is the demise of that society.

The fact that the police brought a suspect in with no incident who had just brutally executed one of their own should go a long way in showing that police do not go around indiscriminately shooting criminals.

LumRaiderFan got a reaction from baddog in So.... This Donald Trump Guy..
Everyone loves free stuff...but we know it isn't really free and it can't be sustained forever.
The problem is that more and more folks are receiving this "free" stuff in the form of entitlements and vote for those that promise and provide it (Democrats) in the general election.
Why else would anyone vote for Sanders or Clinton...it's because they are promising folks something from gov.
Guys like Cruz and Perry, on the other hand, make no such promises and in fact, want to shrink gov...many don't want to hear that message.
Sad place to be when so many are looking to gov to meet their everyday needs.

LumRaiderFan reacted to TxHoops in Obama must be banned!!! Racist offensive!
This may be a little off topic but I have never been a proponent of "hate crimes." They became the flavor of the month after the Matthew Shepherd, James Byrd, etc. murders. But to me, all violent crimes have some level of hate. And they all should be punished accordingly. Currently, our felonies in Texas (not including "state jail felonies") can bear punishments, depending on the classification, of 2 to 10 years, 2 to 20 years, and some 5 to 99 years (or life). There is plenty of range in these (which violent offenses are mostly in the latter two categories) to assess punishment based upon a variety of factors, including race-based violence. To add a "hate crime" to it just adds another element for the prosecution to have to prove and for a defendant to use to try and gain acquittal.
The most ridiculous example I have seen lately is A&M Hoops Coach Billy Kennedy's son being charged in Louisiana for a hate crime for removing a sign from an abortion clinic. I kid you not. A hate crime for removing a sign. I think what he did was wrong, was vandalism, and he should face punishment accordingly. But a "hate crime?" C'mon man.
Just my 2 cents and this comes from someone who is way left of most on this board, regardless of ethnicity.

I don't disagree with what you are saying, but what gets me is many people define Perry by gaffs in a debate rather than look at his many years as gov of Texas.
That is what tells you what kind of President he will be, whether you agree with his politics or not.
Obama on the other hand is a smooth talker but had no experience and was molded by extremists...very available information if anyone had bothered to research just a little bit.
Sadly, this is the world we live in, low information voters that base their uninformed opinion on the last soundbite.
As far as Cruz shutting down the gov...more power to him...I would love to see about 75% of the federal gov shut down permanently.

She was deservedly arrested and then killed herself in jail. I would say that Prairie View would be well-served to dig a little harder in their effort to find heroes to name their streets after.
