A stupid decision by the DA. What will she choose not to prosecute next, DWI? Let's just issue citations for leaving a traffic lane?
She cannot change state law but is telling the police not to enforce the law. If they legalize it, great but she is playing god of the legal system. She has not such authority. I wonder if the police will simply do away with misdemeanor domestic violence since that takes up at least as much time as marijuana.

Hillary Clinton, hardly popular with the Republicans, is confirmed as Secretary of State 98-2. Trump's SOS is confirmed 56-43. Yeah, I can see where the Dems are giving the same "chance". 
But let's move on.
For Attorney General, I thought that Eric Holder was fairly controversial but he passed his vote 75-21 with half the Republicans voting for him. Trumps AG passed, 52-47. Yep, no support from the Dems. 
So two of the most important positions, even from Obama who the left claimed has hated and not given a chance, won overwhelming support from the GOP in respect for Obama's picks. The Dems toward Trump? Well, no respect or support at all.
Yet another.....
Health and Human Services, Obama gets a fairly controversial Kathleen Sebelius passed with some GOP support, 65-31. Trump's HHS Secretary, yet again, no support from the Dems and Tom Price, an actual medical doctor as the head of the health agency (surely we can't have that), passed only 52-47. 
For Obama Secretary of Education? A unanimous confirmation. For Trump, 51-50. 
Can we go on?
CIA director? Obama gets Leon Panetta confirmed with yet another unanimous vote. Trump? Nope, 31 Dems voted against his nominee.
Same chance you ask? Yeah, that would be nice. Oh wait, you said from "you people"? Heck, Trump can't even get any chance from Democrat politicians when on the reverse side, the GOP did not like Obama but looking at the vote, gave him a chance simply out of respect. 
Yes, people in internet forums get out of hand for Obama and Trump. Big deal, they control nothing except their own opinions. What about the actual people in charge, the senators and representatives?
I guess that respect only goes one way........

I would encourage the "adults" of Silsbee to try and ensure the whole point of the punishment is not missed.  Devon is young and has 2 more years of high school ball.  He is a good kid and is loved by many.  Human nature, and especially for kids, is that when you get put on a pedestal for so long, you begin to think you can do what you want. 
This thing has gone viral thanks to a guy from Orange who thought it a good idea to post the video clip all over social media.  Now I've seen it on Bleacher Report, etc.  Regardless, I believe this will be largely forgotten by the public in general 2 years from now when he graduates.  Assuming he learns and behaves the way he knows how to on the court.  When you are as supremely talented as he is, you don't need to do a dang thing but play to shine.  He has that advantage over 99 percent of the kids he will play at the high school level. 
Conversely, if this opportunity is taken to make him a martyr, the great benefit he can actually RECEIVE from this whole ordeal will be robbed from him.  He won't be as likely to learn anything from this and will be prone to think he is being mistreated.  That would be a HUGE disservice to Devon in my opinion.  Because if he doesn't take this experience and grow from it, and makes any similar mistakes in the future, he could be branded beyond repair and just about as bright a future as you will see around here in basketball will be wasted.  
So I beg the adults around him to help him understand what is to be GAINED from this and keep the focus where it should be.  He's a smart kid with a huge heart who has always been very coachable.  That inherently means he's also teachable.  Anyone with a dialogue with him should make sure that's exactly what happens with this.  

I am not uncomfortable or against it...although neither would matter,,,it's their business.
Anyone that says there is something wrong with an interracial marriage is a racist, plain and simple...and I don't use that word very often. 

So why not leave their best and brightest in place to influence their own country...aren't we doing them a disservice by pulling their best here?
The left is always claiming that the US is very unfair to the rest of the world...isn't stealing the best from all nations the epitome of unfair?

The sooner Dodd-Frank is gone the better.  Govt needs to get out of banking totally.  If lenders want to give risky loans, that's their choice.  Just know that the government won't be there to bail them out.

Filed on January 20th, 2017, the letter states that, while not an official announcement for reelection, Donald Trump has filed an FEC Form 2 in order to "ensure compliance with the Federal Election Campaign Act." This is an unprecedented, although legal, move for the President to make. Barack Obama did not file for his 2012 re-election bid until April 2011. Having filed (even if not formally announcing a bid) as a candidate, Trump would be able to coordinate with PACs and other similar organizations.

More importantly, 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations would no longer be able to engage in "political speech" which could theoretically affect the results of the 2020 U.S. Presidential Election without running the risk of losing their nonprofit status. The move effectively bars interest groups from creating nonprofits which they could funnel money into for the purposes of opposing Trump's initiatives.
