  5. There seems to be a different feeling going on around this iteration of Bruins. The scrimmage and non-district will tell us everything.

    Trump Effect

I know poor Trump, nothing is never his fault. He constantly praises these republicans in leadership roles that refuse to get meaningful legislation passed. The Save Act should be a slam dunk but here we are. Trumps ego got rid of Elon. Musk was never mad about doing away with ev subsidies which Trump lied about. He just wanted to have level playing field when it comes to subsidies and just do away with all subsidies for all car makers and oil companies. Let the most innovative companies survive and weak ones sink. Isn’t that how capitalism is suppose to work?

    Trump Effect

Trump tried to freeze funding but it was blocked by a looney judge, but let’s blame Trump for everything. Throwing darts at the same target. Bring back DOGE. We all know how popular that was with the Trump haters. Innocent Tesla dealers and owners beware. Everybody cries about cutting spending, but when it does get cut, the left will riot because their piggy bank got broken into. Judges will block every move, but the Trump haters will let him have it with )both barrels).

  17. And Jasper intercepted the ball 3 times. Wasn't bad. Definitely looked like a work in progress.

  18. Also, to clear up the Silsbee QB situation. Beau Breeden, transfer QB from Lumberton who played JV last year, has not played a live snap yet. The QB that started the scrimmage was Morris, who also starts at LB on defense. Mathews, the soph., was the other QB that came in to play. Breeden is not cleared for contact just yet. This came straight from Coach Smith. @WOSdrummer99 @Tiger33 @Boogy1000

  24. I agree. The sophomore should be a beast if he can run. Of course that wasnt part of Silsbee game plan last night. I still cant understand LCM calling so many qb runs

  25. Breeden started. The other qb is the one that threw the touch downs. I thought the other Qb looked the best. They had Breeden as other positions in the scrimmage

  27. You know as well as I do that scrimmages are run mostly not like real games. In controlled scrimmages there's no kicking game involved, there is no returning of interceptions or fumbles, no tackling of the QB (so no sacks that would put the down and distance different), plays are limited to a certain number therefore a team could be driving but reach their limit of plays, since no kickoffs ball always starts on the 30, 2nd and 3rd teams play (which in most cases they never see the field in games as an entire unit), the play clock is not used so therefore there are no delay of game penalties, etc. etc. Most importantly, there are no won/loss records that include scrimmages. Now, if all high school scrimmages were run just like NFL preseason games, then I could see where one could claim a win or a loss. Even the NFL doesn't keep up with scrimmages between two teams which happens a lot. Most times two teams that play a preseason game will scrimmage each other a day or so beforehand. There are no scores or wins or losses accounted for in those. Even when high school scrimmages are "game like" they are never 100% game like. Most times there is a running clock and the play clock is not used accurately. Let's be honest, there are just too many variables that come into play or not come into play in controlled scrimmages where a win or loss can be claimed. I think it's find to state that one team "dominated, had the upper hand, put a hurting on, etc." on the other team. Particularly when it's obvious that one team is much better than the other or in some cases the team is much worse than the other. To put a win or a loss in a scrimmage is just not an accurate way to assess a scrimmage in my opinion.
