I agree. What I find odd is Trump will meet with some of the worse evil leaders in the world Putin, Xi, Kim Jung Un, etc but he want meet with the Epstein survivors slash victims. Usually Trump will meet with anyone and take on the hard problem that pertains to the situation but not in the Epstein situation. He could shut all the talk down by meeting with the survivors and telling them his DOJ will go after the perpetrators that committed crimes against them as it pertains to the Epstein Saga. I am a Trump policy supporter but he has handled this situation horribly and it doesn’t look good on him in my opinion. I am not saying he’s guilty of anything but if he is he’s got to answer for it. In the realignment, districts draw their schedules out. It's not done individually between each school but by district committee. Sometimes schools can negotiate the home and home after the order is set.

I believe at realignments, teams generally redraw for home/away for district play. I was trying to find other 9-5A team schedules, but La Porte seems to be the only one out so far.

Yes, the fan should’ve left when he was asked — no excuses. But let’s be real: he was the victim here. The United fan was out of control, talking reckless about #24, and his mom stepped in to defend her child like any parent would. Instead of backing down, he kept going back and forth with a woman, and the gentleman stepped in to protect her. Then, in typical fashion, when he was told to leave, he tried to flip the situation and make it seem like it was someone else’s fault. He created the chaos. He escalated it. And he tried to dodge responsibility. People need to understand: talking about someone’s kid is a line you don’t cross. It shows a complete lack of maturity from a grown adult.

And kudos to the BISD PD for hauling the belligerent fan wearing blue out of the gym…. By force and in cuffs. Annyway, BH came to play and couldn’t miss for 3 quarters. The got every 50/50 ball, rebounded well, and played great defense as. The was happy to see that down the stretch, at least one of our big men wanted to play. Several stuff to work on in preparation for the next game. I’m confident we’ll see a better product on Friday.

Thanks for the comments wrt FBC. They are popping up on several schedules including PNG, and I was planning to check them out from last season. Looks like 3 or 4 tough pre-district games for PNG, as usual. Good for the new QB(s), although one new QB already got a pretty good baptism with fire last season in the playoffs, especially the last game of the season. Good luck to LaPorte, we had some good games the past two seasons.

Former Tarkington HC/AD, Mike Heckathorn passed away on Sunday morning. Coach Heck served in public education for close to 50 years, many of those at Tarkington in the 1990's and early 2000's. He served as a mentor to many and always had a policy of doing what's best for the kids. RIP Coach

SETXsports is now 20 years old!! December 2005, owner @jdawg03 started this website to promote our local high schools sports. It was a way for the fans to be a part of the sports scene here locally. Over the years, this site has grown from just a small little message board site to one of Southeast Texas media staples. Adding our broadcasts and other social media entities, SETXsports has become one of the states biggest and best high school sports websites. I personally want to thank all our staff (admins/mods/broadcasters) for all the work put in to make this website what it is today. Also, thanks to our over 45,000 members (past and present) for being a big part of the success of this site. Couldn't have done any of it without you guys. So, HAPPY BIRTHDAY SETXsports!! 20 years!!
